If your looking for a retro Asian food experience in Antigonish, this is the place for you. It…read morelooks like it was decorated in the early seventies, because it was! But the menu is more modern and won't have those 70's favourites like the pu pu platter or bo bo balls. But you can have hot and sour soup, chop suey and sushi in one sitting. The food is pretty good. My wonton soup and spring rolls were great and the egg fried rice was also good. Service is friendly but a bit challenged as they run a very small staff. This helps keep prices reasonable, along with savings on decor. I gave it a three because I didn't think the food was quite good enough to overcome the decor and low budget feel. However, it's possible that a few more trips could sway me in time as I think there is potential here.

The same cannot be said about the bathrooms though. The food itself isn't bad. Certainly acceptable but it doesn't blow you away. The portions are big and the prices are reasonable. I got the 'traditional' sichuan spicy pork and asked for it to be made extra spicy. It still wasn't to my spice level but I could tell they at least tried by adding extra chili flakes on top. She got the Udon noodles with tofu and thought it was decent. Both came with generous amounts of pork and tofu. But my dish was a little too salty. And I'm someone that loves salty food. If you're looking for cheap Asian eats that's good value for the buck, this place should do just fine. Don't expect to be blown away though.

There is ample parking across the motel looking building. Once you enter, there is a lovely shop of trinkets and then there is a nice cozy seating area. There's a self serve sauce bar and some cute puzzles to occupy you while you. wait for your food. You can get a lunch special which comea with a drink or you can order dim sum ala carte. The staff are so lovely and were fast in service. The food itself was served hot and fresh. It wasn't overly salty and the peach drink was ice cold, perfect on a hot day. I noticed they have a buffet option on Saturdays too which is super unique. We'd love to visit again if we pass by Sydney in the future!

I paid for cooked food, not to fix the food you screw up. The owner was terrible, took hours to respond to my complaint, admitted that they used a different soy sauce but failed to adjust the recipe before handing out to customers and in the end, did not even offer a refund or replacement--only 2 bubble teas and suggested to order rice with it next time. It was such a horrible experience. Terrible customer service. Not worth your money.
