Ive never been to a cat cafe but its my lifelong dream and they have one in london i was so happy…read more:3 we didnt know you had to book so we had to wait a few hours to get in but thats my bad.. staff was lowkey weird icl its ok i would be too if i worked here but the cats were so cute!! i didnt order anything off the menu so i couldnt tell you about the food. idk what i expected but it was kinda boring i dont think i like cats as much as i thought.. we sat in the basement?? for some reason so jt kinda smelt like cat food (not ideal if ur eating) and there isnt much to do since only a few of the young cats play with you and the older ones sleep and eat thas it. i probably wouldnt come back again we booked for an hour but left after 30 minutes i think ill just stick to my house where i get a free cat cafe

I have been following Lady Dinah's on social media since they opened and fell in love with their…read morecats. I knew I had to visit during my first trip to London from the U.S. I booked my reservation online (definitely book in advance, I don't think they have space for walk ins anymore due to popularity) and it was £10 for a drink (coffee, tea, juices) and 1.5 hours in the cafe with the cats. The interior is absolutely beautiful with Alice in Wonderland-themed decor. There is an upstairs and downstairs level and you're free to wander around both, as are the cats. I barely spent any time at my table other than to quickly drink my iced mocha (which was delicious) because I wanted to spend as much time as possible with the cats! Keep in mind that there are rules in place to keep the cats safe. They live there 24/7, so they have to be comfortable. The staff was very friendly and introduced the rules and answered all of my questions. It was also fun chatting with Katie, the cat carer on staff that day, about London and the cats in general. If you're not familiar with cats, just remember that they are not an animal that will entertain on demand. Some of them will be sleeping, some will not want to be pet. That's not to say that these cats weren't friendly, because many were! You just have to be polite in approaching them and read their body language, as they'll make it clear if they've had enough pets or attention. My visit to Lady Dinah's was absolutely wonderful and a great deal for the price. I loved seeing all of the cats and relaxing in the cafe. I can't recommend this place enough if you are a cat lover!

My dog likes to look fresh…read more Haha, not really. If it were up to her she'd let herself resemble Pigpen, would roll around in dirt and feces, and would generally look like she'd just been through a forage in the forest. However, as an apartment dog...this is not acceptable. She is a shorthaired lady, so she doesn't need the particular cut, but every few months she does need a deep down brushing, scrub and nail trim (something about trimming another beings nails terrifies me)...and thus we search for her spa. Easier said than done in East London! But I finally found Groom Dog City and I am quite pleased with the output. It's in a little shop near Haggerston/Columbia Market, they took my appointment quickly, the staff was very nice (both the owner and the assistant), and 45 minutes later I returned and was gifted back a dog that looked to be much cleaner and about 4 bales of hair lighter. Win. Reasonably priced too! For the works on my type of dog (again, no cutting/trimming required) for bath, eyes, ears, nails, brushdown -- about £25. I also left a tip because I have to believe this is thankless work giving spa treatments to animals who do not wish to be pampered. If they only knew! They even returned her to me with a little bow. I'll be visiting again next time she starts to resemble a vagabond... *appointments easily made online (he called me back right away). *there are a few shop dogs, word to the wise. I mentioned my dog wasn't so nice with other dogs she doesn't know, and they easily blocked them off. I'm sure my dog was still a nervous wreck, but there is a price to beauty and to coexisting with humans, Tillie.

I can't recommend Amwell Veterinary Practice highly enough. Dale and Margaret are not only kind and…read morecompassionate but also extremely experienced and knowledgeable. They've looked after our dog Bubu for years, and we'd be lost without them. After moving to Southampton, we tried other vets and realised how rare it is to find people like them. Too many seemed focused on money, not the animal. Dale and Margaret are the opposite. They genuinely care, give honest advice, and never suggest anything unnecessary. Even now, we travel back to London for Bubu's care because no one else comes close. They're the kind of vets every pet owner hopes to find.

So far, so good…read more.. I found this veterinary practice on Yelp based on an older review, and hoped that all the facts still rung true. My luck (and Tillie's!) they certainly did. My pup is getting on in years, and that comes with its own set of challenges. I wanted to have her throughly checked out to make sure nothing was terribly amiss before we left on a long trip. I easily and quickly made an appointment with the very polite receptionist and was booked in for a Friday evening appointment. We arrived rain-soaked to a happy, warm office full of the vet's own pooches. We were greeted warmly, seen quickly and the good doctor gave her a once over and sent me home with instructions to collect a urine sample (I had my husband do that job, thankyouverymuch) and return the following day to have it tested for any irregularities, etc. Dutiful dog dad did just this, walked it back over, paid £20 for the test, and they called us later that day with the results: your dog is old and her kidneys are slow, but she isn't in any pain or distress. Well, all good...best case scenario and we now take many trips outside to use "the loo" to accommodate the kidney-deficient canine. Big plus: the initial exam and registration appointment is free of charge. I had no idea this was true...but what a great way to be introduced to a practice. I'll surely be back. Very friendly folks that won't try to upsell you and leave you bankrupt. Practical solutions for your pets.
