From start to finish, working with Diana and A Bride's DJ was a breeze! The DJ was extremely important to my husband and after interviewing several DJ's and speaking with Diana, we knew that we wanted to work with this company. Transparent pricing and great customer service are what we instantly received and Diana was always willing to answer questions as they arose. I wanted a mashup dance with my dad and another DJ told me that providing this service would require studio time and a sound engineer. When I informed Diana of my request, she put me in touch with another DJ and he created my first dance at no charge. He even made a last minute adjustment the week before my wedding. DJ Danny was AMAZING. He cared about getting to know my husband and I, understanding our backstory and how to correctly pronounce the names of our family members. The Monday before our wedding, we went over the reception timeline and he ensured us that he would try our best to keep us on schedule. He has a background in the music industry and he really cared about the needs of my husband and I on the best day of our lives. When the reception rolled around, DJ Danny made sure he found us 15 minutes before any major event (cake cutting, first dance) to give us ample time to be ready. He kept the dance floor packed the entire night and played every song that we wanted to hear. I would highly recommend this company. Marcus was a horrible DJ, played his own music that we did not enjoy, pronounced my husband's last name Incorrectly after we went over how to pronounce it, and didn't even give us microphones for our vows. Marcus was the damper on my wedding day, do not do with this company at all. The resolution from the owners was to give me a stupid gift card when I wanted real money given back to me for the horrible service. read more

We really enjoyed working with Diana (coordinator) and Dave Obney (DJ) at a Bride's DJ for our wedding in August'22. Diana was highly attentive throughout the planning process, and provided helpful guidelines on how to think about structure for the ceremony & reception. She connected us to an uplighting vendor and was understanding when an event reschedule couldn't be avoided. DJ Dave did a great job as well, the ceremony and reception went smoothly, and he kept everyone dancing throughout an extended reception. I appreciated that he got little details right in pronouncing names and that he worked with us to keep the event running smoothly (especially when we needed an extra 5min to eat!). I am happy to report the wedding was a success and I am even happier to tell you DJ James was amazing! He FAR exceeded any expectations I could have imagined. It was the craziest day of my life and he made it all come together and kept it rolling. Not only his music was great but the way he kept me on track and instantly adapted to last minute changes...seriously he was one of the most key people in making our wedding fantastic. I cannot overstate how much I adored having Tim Lewis at my wedding and as my DJ. He went above and beyond the call of duty and was an absolute gentleman. Not only was the music great, but he helped us wrangle people for pictures, helped calm my anxiety, gave me some sage words of wisdom, offered to bring us things so we could sit and eat, and was overall the perfect wedding guest I never knew I needed! My husband and I absolutely loved our experience working with A Bride's DJ for our wedding DJ service! Diana (the coordinator) was very accessible, prompt with answering emails, and super friendly and creative with helping us book them. She listened and gave ideas to help us plan exactly what we wanted out of our wedding. Our actual DJ was James Fruits and let me tell you he was absolutely incredible! WE LOVE JAMES!! If you are looking for a DJ, this is your guy. James was so experienced, friendly, creative, accessible, and flexible! My husband and I are very particular when it comes to music and James was so helpful in helping us put everything together and have it be exactly as we wanted. He is also a jack of all trades because he can sing and play guitar/ukulele which he did for our wedding! He sang live and played during dinner and also sang live and played for my husband and I's first dance song - it was such a huge hit and all our guests loved it! We used A Bride's DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception and couldn't have been happier! We had DJ James Fruits officiate our ceremony and he did a fantastic job of incorporating our personalities into the ceremony. He really made it a fun ceremony that had me laughing the entire time! It was perfect! DJ Fruits also did the music for our reception and it was perfect! He had everyone out on the dance floor the entire night! He was also fantastic with helping coordinate the nights events and kept me in the loop for everything that was happening. Diana was HORRIBLY rude to the point I completely took them off my list of potential vendors for my wedding day. She failed to call after arranging a consultation and never even apologized for the mix up. Instead she was defensive and argumentative. I quickly realized this was not the type of person I wanted to be in contact with while booking a wedding DJ and didn't want to work with a company who chose to have such a horrible customer service representative be the first contact for potential clients. Had there been someone else to discuss their services with I may have given them a chance. SO glad I chose not to give them my business!! read more

Choosing a Bride's DJ and Danny Cohen was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The company is very thorough and extremely helpful in assisting you choose your specific DJ. Danny was absolutely perfect! He went above and BEYOND our expectations in many ways. First of all he is very friendly and has such a pleasant disposition that we were really comfortable and put at ease during the music planning process. Danny accommodated ALL of our requests- and I was a bride who had lists of must-plays/ do-not plays, and "please play at this time" songs! The list I provided probably had 50 songs on it- and he played the selections at the perfect times- while still allowing guests to make requests. Even more notably- Danny met up with us prior to the wedding so we could give him a CD with the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to and other rare songs that I wanted played during the ceremony and throughout the night. He took the extra time to make sure they were downloaded and calibrated correctly for his system- and the songs sounded perfect! I am so grateful for his extra effort. He cares about making you happy- and will go the extra mile to make your day perfect! Danny was also one of the most professional DJ's I have experienced. He is a master at timing- literally all the announcements and music cues were perfected down to the second. I can't stress how important timing is.... Danny made sure everything ran exactly as planned. He took extra care to review the itinerary, the name pronunciations, the timeline, and made great suggestions along the way. His experience as a DJ and his genuine love for his job really shine through in his performance. My husband and I are exceedingly grateful to A Bride's DJ and to Danny Cohen for being such a huge reason why our wedding day was so beautiful. Our guests were full of compliments as well! If anyone I know asks who to hire for DJ services- I hands down would recommend Danny and A Bride's DJ- not only will you not be disappointed- you will be thrilled! While planning my wedding i was beyond lost on what to look for in a DJ. My mom contacted local dj since i dont live in the area of my wedding location to help. my mom sent me several djs one being a brides dj. they were the only one to respond to my questions and concerns in a timely manner. they helped me so much with all the questions i had. since i had a sunday wedding they discounted my costs. they talked to me about the theme everything to fit the perfect dj for my day. they chose marty who was incredible. in their contract they call you one week before your wedding to go over all your details so they can 100% focus on you. marty called a week before that to schedule the time so we can go over everything. he was very easy going and great to work with. i was able to send him emails leading up to my wedding to get final details worked out. the day of my wedding i had some last min requests that he easily handled. he was wonderful! everything was perfect so many of my friends have asked for this companys info because they were so impressed. they helped make my day perfect! read more

We loved A Bride's DJ! In planning our wedding day we initially spoke with two DJ companies. A Bride's DJ quickly answered all of our questions and were incredibly friendly and helpful - as we were planning for a wedding in Cleveland, but live in Chicago. After signing we were asked to choose a DJ from a small list that was specifically tailored towards what we had in mind. After reviewing the DJs, we went with Johnny Lively. Johnny was absolutely fantastic. He contacted us early as we were worried that we had a lot of strange music choices, but he quickly was able to find every piece that we requested. He also helped us get a handle on the timeline for the entire day. We had the wedding on a Sunday, with the rehearsal early in the morning. He showed up at the rehearsal to begin his set-up and to get familiar with the space. During the ceremony the music was exactly what we wanted and was well-timed. It really set the stage for the day. As good as he was during the ceremony, he was outstanding at the reception. He did a great job with the introductions and helping us stay on schedule. As we had a Sunday afternoon wedding, we were worried that people would not dance too much - Johnny had them out of their seats and dancing all the way up until the end of the reception. We had our wedding 8/31/13 and we could not have been happier with a brides dj and Scott and his wife! They were absolutely an amazing team! Scott knew how to read the crowd and get them up and dancing. He spent over an hour with me on the phone going over every detail I forgot. His wife was absolutely amazing!!! She was more of a wedding planner than anything! Great combo!!!! She even went as far to see my dress when someone stepped on my bustle! They got on the floor and taught dances And had fun together! Worst DJ ever. First of all The DJ basically runs your wedding. No one could hear him at all. He was told several times and we also told his assistant. At 9:02 to be exact I had several family members come to me and ask why there was no dance music playing. I asked the DJ and he said he was waiting for the bride and groom to finish talking to everyone. We told him to start playing the music. The songs he played were awful! Everyone kept making comments about him. Several times I saw him leaning against the back wall , laughing and talking to his assistant. He never once got on his mike and talked to the guests or encouraged anyone to come on the floor to dance. His bio sounds great but DJ John Lively is not "lively" at all! Luckily our guests know how to have a fun time without good music! Would never recommend him. Also I had four newly engaged couples there, including my own son and no one is interested in hiring from this group! read more
