    A-Cent Ramp.

Did my commercial multi add-on at A-Cent in their gorgeous PA34-200T from October 2019 to January 2020. After a little mx hiccup with the aircraft before the checkride, Donnell and her team managed to get everything straight for the big day. Ive got to become friends with everyone and knowing John Nayfack from NAS Jacksonville in 2007, I recommend any flight training with this school. **It was good seeing you guys last week after I got back from my 7 month deployment.**

A few of the boys before the flight at my son's birthday party!

Booked a birthday party! Got 12 kids all a flight and pizza and drinks and activities and photos all for just a little more than the game truck would have cost and it was an incredible experience the 10yr old boys will remember a lifetime! I had some really happy kids at the end of this party! A huge success and WELL worth the money. The pilot was knowledgeable and friendly, they had a photographer and party coordinator. All around epic experience I highly recommend!

A-Cent is the only place in the Jacksonville area I know of to rent a reasonably-priced multi-engine aircraft.

I have flown at multiple flight schools, from a small "mom and pop shop" to the largest nation-wide…read moreschool, and JAXAERO is the best! JAXAERO offers the benefits of a large flight school. This includes a larger fleet of well-equipped and well maintained aircraft, training aids and supplements to guide students along their journey, and a simulator to practice and maintain proficiency. JAXAERO also offers the benefits of a small flight school. The greatest assets that the school has are the people that work and train there. No matter where you are in your aviation journey, no matter your goals or aspirations, you will be treated kindly and cared for at a personal level. Rather than being viewed as a number, like students are at larger flights schools, JAXAERO meets you at your needs and helps you along your aviation journey. Ben and John, who own and manage the company, are present, helpful, and encouraging. The flight instructors go above and beyond what is required to help you succeed. Everyone has gone "out of their way" to help me along my journey. Personal connections with other students can also be made more easily than at a larger school, and you can work and study with students that are in the same phase of training. Finally, JAXAERO is more willing and capable to work with your unique schedule to help you achieve your goals whether your training is a full-time commitment or a part time hobby. I wish that I had found this school sooner, I and would not want to be training anywhere else. Whether you are located in Jacksonville or live many states away, JAXAERO is the best school you are going to find.

I was so excited, but near the end of the interview I was told I needed a FAA medical release. The FAA didn't want to release me, after which I found out the $500 enrollment fee was nonrefundable. Who would've thought? I complained, but they stood their ground, saying it was "policy". I was told a manager would call me to discuss. At the very least I didn't want some unsuspecting fool to get taken advantage of like I was(they shouldn't be asking for an enrollment fee until They know and you know you are going to be medically cleared, And I'm telling you, the FAA isn't easy). No one ever called! Be careful with these guys.

I should have listened to people saying to be aware with flight's schools that ask for money…read moreupfront. Before signing up to this school, I called and told them that I was interested in doing my MEI as initial Instructor license. They said they were able to do it and told me to enroll online and pay in advance $500 USD so I did. But first, I carefully made sure to list in my registration my interest in doing my MEI as initial. They scheduled me three days later to review my documents and indoc. When I got to the school, they weren't prepared at all. They told me to come back the next day. (1hr of driving each way for nothing!). The next day, I went back and they asked me for all my documents AGAIN!. I don't see the point of scanning all the documents if they are going to ask for them anyway. Right after, they introduced me to my instructor and we proceeded to do a flight. After 1.2 hrs of flying and back to the school house, they told me they weren't able to do the training for me because the Chief Pilot wasn't able or willing to do so. (due to it has to be from someone having more than 2 years as a CFI/MEI, he was the only one able to do it). That cost me more than $410 USD to find out. Since then, it has been more than 3 months and I have been asking for the remaining balance to be transfer back. They keep dodging my calls and making up excuses. There are better schools in south Florida and way cheaper. Please keep away from this school. (a bonus tip: if you fly with an instructor, make sure it is more than 1.4hrs; otherwise, they will charge you that as a minimum.)
