Moms talked, related, laughed, and showed up just as we were, messy buns and all. Many of us would grab coffee after and keep the conversations going. I never felt lonely or isolated like I'd heard so many postpartum moms describe, and that's because of this group. I have already tried some of the tips I learned in class with my co parent. It's not about playing nice, or being a chump and being walked all over- its really about picking your battles, how to create more positive thinking, what to do when you get trigger by some moronic thing your co parent did when she had the kids. Ultimately its about creating a great environment for the kids- so they can feel relaxed and focus on, well, just being a kid. The best thing about the class is there are other people going through the same thing as you. Nobody really gets it unless they are walking in your shoes.
