I found this housekeeping company on Yelp and we have been using them since I think May 2018. We have a cleaning with them once a month and I think they have done about 4-5 cleans now! So I felt it to be time to write a review! We haven't had the same cleaning person every visit, I think we had a girl named Katrina two times, a guy came once, and today was Melissa. It be nice to have the same person every clean since we have a dog and two cats who would work better with someone they are familiar with. Overall, we have been happy with the cleaning service! I have been home twice for the cleanings, so I have met Katrina and Melissa and chatted with them. Friendly service, Melissa was great today. Our friend just bought the house next door, so we will be referring him to these guys for sure! read more

I don't understand all the reviews here saying the owner Kim is 'thoughtful'. She is actually quite stubborn and has no sense of customer service. I was so frustrated dealing with her for hours trying to get her to understand my perspective. In the end, I got one nice service from this company. As the other reviewer Nicole H, pointed out, they will reschedule you and cancel on you. One time, I planned to have house guests the next day but when they cancelled on me, I was left scrambling. However, if I wanted to reschedule at the last minute because MY plans changed or missed an appointment by accident, they give no accommodations at all and will charge you the full amount. I am giving two stars here because the one time I was able to make THEIR time work, Melissa, the cleaning person who showed up, did good work. Still, how can I use this service when I can't rely on them to show up when I need them to? Perhaps, I am very disappointed because I had such high expectations for this company based on almost all of the reviews being 5 stars and glowing. However, I wanted to spotlight the few negative reviews about them. They don't keep their end of their appointments but expect you to. And they don't compromise in any way. I mean, I understand that I should be charged something for a missed appointment but to be charged the FULL AMOUNT especially when THEY have cancelled and rescheduled on me almost every appointment is just unfair. I usually only leave positive reviews for my contractors as I appreciate all of their work but I just don't think this company deserves all of that almost 100% 5 star reviews. read more

I LOVE CUT ABOVE!!! When we moved to Mukilteo I was so nervous to find a new house keeper. After a bad experience with Amazon Home Services I called Kim. She had Melissa for me ASAP!! I'm SO happy with Melissa and her work. Shes so professional. I work from home and my husband is retired so we are normally home when she's here. She doesn't act like it bothers her to have us here. She so efficient and I dont feel like she's not trustworthy! We have 5k sq ft and 4 bedrooms that she cleans. The other 2 we dont really use so maybe once in awhile. She deep cleans all our bathrooms which is probably the worst because we have 2 boys that dont know what the hole of a toilet looks like. (not really but boys bathrooms are gross) She never complains or acts like she's completely put off by our grossness LOL!! read more

Update as of July 25: I've had two last minute (hours before scheduled arrival) cancellations with this company. The owner apologized but I need a more reliable company. If they can show up, they do good work. However, I also noticed that they never showed up at the actual scheduled time when they did come (they normally showed up at 8:30am for a 12:30pm scheduled appt). When you have other plans, it's frustrating to not have consistency. Old review: company that knows how to communicate AND does great work! The cleaner had a flat tire and was running 15 minutes late and she called me to let me know. I appreciate their communication, since my last cleaning service would arrive "within 2 hours". The actual cleaning was great! Areas that other companies didn't clean were covered by Darcine. Prices are comparable to other cleaners in the city and affordable for the high quality of service offered. I've booked them for future cleanings (via their online easy booking site)! read more

I have been a thrilled customer since August 2014. Most importantly, A Cut Above is 100% reliable. They have cleaned my home over 200 times, and have never missed a single scheduled appointment. I also greatly appreciate the consistency. I can't tell if my home has been cleaned by the owners, a long time staff member, or a new hire - as each cleaning is reliably thorough and detail oriented. I will admit that I am sometimes a 'needy client' and ACA has always been able to accommodate my special requests and occasional short notice bookings. In the year prior to discovering A Cut Above, I went through 3 different professional companies, and none were even half as good. From the first encounter I had requesting a quote, to confirming the service time days before, to a follow up email post service.....this company is incredibly professional and cares about customer service. My house looked so amazing - my kitchen looked staged, all of my husband's cologne is his bathroom were organized, my living room looked like something out of a magazine. They don't just clean, they ensure your home looks pretty too. I was quoted 4 hours for my first time cleaning and it ended up being 6.25 hours....the additional time was done at no cost. They are reliable, timely, diligent, always put our things back where they were, and do an excellent job of cleaning our home with eco-friendly cleansers. I have been a client for many years. The gal that comes to clean always does an excellent job. I've never had an issue with the service. I trust her to be in my home when I'm not there and that's a big deal for me. We have cats and they shed, a lot, and track cat litter a little bit. We also have a yard with several large conifers, they create a ridiculous amount of pine needles, which get tracked into our house and imbedded in the doormats and throw rugs. My husband cooks every night, he has ingredients and spices in containers all over the counter, the oven is used for bacon and sausage, the cook top gets splattered with sauces, the hood sucks up grease and the cabinets/appliances/windows/doors/light switches etc are touched with dirty fingers by our grandkids. The couches gather cat hair and crumbs. I could go on and on. When our gal shows up, she has her work cut out for her. She hasn't disappointed us yet! She actually moves stuff to clean and dust and cleans the containers, nic-nacks, pictures, ceiling fans/lights, lamps, lampshades, walls... I can't tell you how lovely it is to come home to a clean house that smells of Murphy's Oil Soap (which we have her use for our floors and wood surfaces). Can't recommend this company highly enough. If I had to sum them up in 3 words they would be; thorough, trustworthy, respectful. I don't give out high praise unless it's deserved. read more
