Had a fan motor on our AC go bad. In the past had called A Degree Above to fix our heater in an emergency and were very happy with the service. Have to say they did not disappoint. My wife called and we had a technician at our house within hours. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the fan motor. What impressed me is the fact that we had notified the office that we would be unable to pay them right away and could we hold off till we had the available funds (1wk). We were told that would not be a major issue and the work would be performed so we could have our AC working. I was getting my house ready for retirement. I had A Degree Above to come out and replace the central heat and air unit along with the duct work on 5/4/2020. The duct work was put in the house early 90's and I wanted it to be new. I had no previous trouble with the duct work at all. I started to notice floor damage in all three bedrooms so I called my home insurance inspector. The claim inspector determined I had no leaks from the water pipes but he notice that my air vents had gaps where it was connected to the floor. I went to A Degree Aboves office to talk to Mike and both owners said it was not their fault. I've now got two of the three bedroom floors tore out and wood flooring replaced. I trusted Mike to do the job and I had no trouble with the floors until they put in the new duct work. I DO NOT recommend him or the company to do any work for me ever!! read more

Called 3 times in 3 weeks and were told they would have someone come out with 3 different time frames. No one has called or shown up! We will be going somewhere else tomorrow. read more

Our first winter in Tennessee and we had issues with our Heater on Fri the 23rd, late in the evening. Didn't really expect to have anyone show up. Called "A Degree Above" because they were local. Was told they were very busy and we would be put on the call list. Received a call not too much later from Mike(one of the owners) saying he was on the way back into town and he would come by and check it out. Long story short, he came by in freezing weather in the dark diagnosedthe issue got the heater running letting us know up front that it may only be a temp fix. The part quit the next day, Christmas Eve, we had to call again, assuming we would be without heat till Mon the 26th. Well he calls us back and says he may the part me need at his shop. Now this is the part that got to my wife and I, even with a full schedule he brought the part to us and replaced it that night. We believe he went out of his way to insure we had heat on the coldest day Tennessee has had in a long time. Mike and his wife who took our calls who I can't remember her name, I apologize for that, reminded us why we relocated, The people. A Degree Above and business' like it are whybwe love it here.
