The base of my swivel glider patio chair fractured from the glider mechanism rendering it unusable…read more I brought it to a local furniture repair shop but they were not at all confident they could fix it, saying they could give it a try with no guarantees but also adding that the wicker material on the base might melt as a result of attempts to weld the base back on. This isn't a knock on the furniture repair shop- they were upfront and honest about everything. As this chair was a high-end piece which was part of a larger set of matching patio furniture, I did not want to toss it on the trash heap. I'd never used a welder to do anything for me in the past but I remembered something I'd seen on one of Mike Rowe's TV shows demonstrating the skills of welders and what they can do. I found Eric's website online and sent him some photos of my chair. He got back to me immediately and confidently replied that he could fix my chair. Less than two days after dropping it off to him, he sent me a short video demonstrating the chair's successful repair. My chair works perfectly now and the wicker material remains flawless. His price for the repair was quite reasonable. This was a great repair experience all the way around which has become harder to find in today's world. He did what he said he would do, for the price he quoted, and with excellent communication. If I need welding services again I will definitely contact Eric.

For reference, I am the President of the BOD for a local condominium Association. After positive past dealings with H&Y I referred them to a member unit-owner to replace a wood courtyard enclosure with vinyl. They were prompt with their estimate and were selected out of three companies by the homeowner to perform the job. The job was completed but needed to be lowered slightly to match the height of others in the Association. Despite a delay caused by the hurricane, Jerry, the owner, saw to it that the adjustment was made to our specifications. Given the relative insignificance of this re-visit in comparison to the volume of fence work a hurricane can produce, H&Y kept their commitment and for that the homeowner and I were thoroughly impressed. It is not often these days that we witness this kind of integrity in business dealings so when we do we must recognize it. At the 7 week mark, I was curious because no one had called me with an update on my order. They said they would call in a couple of weeks once they had my install ready to schedule. Jason did call and schedule for the following week at 9am. There were some set-backs on install day, for I had been scheduled to be 9am and by 10am, no one had shown up or called. Having taken the morning off, I was upset when I ended up having to take the full day off and they didn't even arrive until after 2pm. The crew was very efficient, with Sergio heading the team. They worked for a couple of hours. Glad I was there, to review fence before they finalized or they would have installed the fence sloped to accommodate the yard. Fence should be even, dirt can be added to even the slope of the yard on the side of the house. The posts were corrected and fence install continued. Second day they came back and finished the job. Fence looks great and truly adds value to the house. I think the installation crew is top notch. The office staff really needs to improve on their communication skills with their customers. It's like they don't care about the customer but boy did they call right away to get paid. No one ever apologized for making me wait all day when I had been scheduled for a 9am install.
