This haunted house really is something, with its janky presentation and totally laid back attitude to safety. I haven't been to a themed event this raw since the Reagan administration! The actors were 100% committed and the outside staff were helpful. Honestly I had a wicked fun time, but my 12-year old backed out at the last minute and I would not recommend this to anyone under that age. Waiver or no waiver, this place is a genuine safety hazard, so be very careful as stairs have no railings and the place is pitch-black with NO light strips in sight. Very good experience from beginning to end. I had the vip express ticket which was worth it because even though I went in the middle of the week the regular line was very long so I could imagine what the weekend looks like. The greeters were very friendly. I had the laser gun and flashlight which was kinda pointless but fun still. The house was really detailed with horror decoration the different rooms were really cool for photo ops if there were no monsters in there. At the end of the house there's a neat lil slide which was cool. And they had these cool drinks at the end I highly recommend. Great price, great fun, and great scares. read more

The owner of this haunted house is a liar and deceitful. I planned a birthday party for my son. Bought tickets in advance. Then FDNY closed them down due to dangerous conditions. I called and asked for a refund and they said they would give a refund given the circumstance but did not in the end. Emails and phone calls after the promise was made was not returned. I think this place is dangerous and some people have gotten hurt there. I would stay away. read more

I went to a haunting in Hollis with my girlfriend and home girl. First of all it rained a little that day so some parts of the house were a muddy mess. The house itself was very dark and kinda spooky. Although I wasn't really scared, the ladies had a good time. We paid for a video which was $7 however the video was only of the attic and the person doing the video was airdropping them to other customers for FREE. We never received a refund for our video and the video we got was extremely weak and wasn't worth $7. That's probably why they were giving it out for free. We don't plan on revisiting this site. We feel that there are WAY BETTER haunted houses in the tristate area. read more

For only being one attraction , it's definitely well done and amps up the scare factor in certain parts compared to other haunted houses that just fill the houses with decorations and people that follow you around. We enjoyed it because it was different from anything we've ever been to. The scares in the house are well done and the maze to get out is terrifying especially if you don't have a laser gun as it's pitch black. Also the ability to get a video for $5 is nice but it's only for one part of the house, but it is the best part of it. The only reason I don't give it 5 starts is that we waited almost 3 hours in line even though we got a 9:30pm reservation. Getting ready for the Breast Cancer walk, we decided to visit this local haunted house in a Hollis. Tickets are reasonably priced and I really enjoyed the walk through. It was entertaining and scary. Very dark, smoky and live characters. They aren't allowed to touch you and you can't touch them. We absolutely loved A Haunting In Hollis. It was fun and scary and we really got our money's worth. The characters were so creepy and the house is straight out of a nightmare that you don't want to wake up from. We had an absolute blast. It was for my daughter's birthday and her friends are still talking about it a week later. What an impression they made. The only downside was there were a few locks and puzzles that were broken in the escape room and it really disappointed them. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon and we will definitely be back!! Absolutely terrible experience & nasty business owner. Bought a scheduled time to attend. Was told to wait on a certain line by multiple people working at the door. Waited over 30 minutes to get in the door then was approached by the owner who told us we didn't belong on that line. She got in my face & was hounding us to pay more money to stay on the line we were told to wait on and had already been waiting 30 minutes on. Not only did she demand we pay more, she didn't even give us the option to be placed on the other (much longer) line ahead of others being that we had already waited 30 minutes. Mind you, we already upgraded our tickets for $5/each ticket in order to adjust our ticket time which ultimately didn't mean anything bc regardless of the time you choose you still have to wait on line. You are given a "grace period" of 15 minutes for your ticket but considering the line is so long you in most cases will still have to pay more - it's basically a money trap. Not worth your time! My group left and disputed the charges with our bank :) Happy Halloween! read more

It started off good until the chainsaw guy chased my group. Upon entering the other area of the house the only warning was use caution not that there were stairs. It was completely pitch black in there and I fell down a flight of stairs. We screamed the safe word and no one from the attraction came to us it took a few minutes until someone did come. Once I got out of the place no one even bothered to see if I was okay. Ended up going to the Emergency room and have a sprained ankle. Never again would I go here. read more

Absolutely terrible experience, unorganized and very unprofessional. It doesn't matter which ticket you purchase because everyone must still wait on a VERY long line. The workers kept expressing how important it was NOT to hit "their actors bc they will not touch you" and gave the kids a code word to say in case it was too much for them to handle. However, the "actors" did touch them and would NOT listen to them when they were screaming the code word for them to STOP. This is very disturbing. Also, it was pitch black and my kids fell down some steep steps. This explains the waiver that everyone must sign. The kids came out of there visible upset, horrified and their clothes/sneakers were very dirty. I purchased the clip of my kids experience and it was extremely painful and disturbing to watch and hear my daughter screaming for them to stop to no avail. This place is NOT for the kids. read more

They sell tickets online for specific day and time but when you come you have to wait in a very long line anyway. Very disappointing. :( My son's birthday surprise was ruined. The line was so long it would probably take us 2 hours to get in so we went back home. :( read more

The kids and I had a good time. We definitely got scared and the set up/ maze was phenomenal. However, I agree with the previous review when they stated you purchase a specific date and time but the line was get long anyway. We were told that the gouls and goblins wouldn't touch us but they did. You will be Very very dirty so don't wear anything you cherish. Ww purchased the laser gun with night vision and the light was so dull, we might as well had nothing. I informed the host but she said it's supposed to be that way but everyone else I saw has brighter lights. finally, the video that I purchased for extra money was not worth it. The laser guns were fun to use on all the ghouls and goblins that popped out, super dark in there, lots of mist-they really got down all the scary features, my group was screaming and laughing throughout. 3 stars though because I felt scammed by some added last minute charges from them. I actually purchased these tickets last year, but the place unexpectedly closed right before halloween. They sent an email saying they don't offer refunds but would honor people's unused tickets, since they closed out of nowhere, so this year I wanted to use them and I called beforehand to confirm I could use my tickets, they said no problem, but when I came they would only honor the tickets if I paid this year's price for them. It was a $10 dollar difference per ticket so not a big deal, but in the email they sent and even when I called over the phone, it was never mentioned there would be an up-charge for tickets I was intending to use when I purchased them, but couldn't because of an issue on their end.
