The books inside are individually priced, while the books outside are discounted to 10 or 25 cents based on which side it is on. I could have spent hours there. After selecting way too many books, I took them up to the counter to check out. As the friendly employee rang up the books, we chatted about D&D. Overall, perfect first visit and I look forward to returning!

Just be prepared, it's an older building and it felt that way once inside, but they were very busy too. If it had not been so cold out we would have perused more of the $.10 books outside. We definitely will go back for that because there's lots of bargains that we had here. They sell a variety of items here it's worth checking out.

Went to the soft opening of Ox4d Music today, and I have to say that it's already looking…read morepromising. The walk-in meets you with the right amount of old concert posters, stickers, and the graffiti chalkboard that has the question of the day. The selection is evolving, with a lot of local recordings, some classic rock staples, and some juicy discount bins. There are CDs, but the majority of the selection is vinyl, which is fine by me. There's a bluegrass table and a hiphop/R and B table. It hits all of the high points. If you're a collector looking for something in particular, talk to the owner, Todd. He'll help you track down that early mono pressing of Pet Sounds that you've got on your discogs wishlist. And that's probably what makes this place a fun place to shop- the friendly owner, the unpretentious vibe, and the nostalgic feel of an old school record store. If you're in Oxford, it's one of the must-do retail experiences in their downtown.
