I said yes to the dress!!

If you are looking for the best place to try on wedding dresses I recommend Carolina Bridal World. I came in for the very first time to try on dresses and had an idea of what I wanted but my ideas were all over the place. Keitha was my consultant and she went above and beyond to help me. She made the experience amazing. She listened to what I wanted and only pulled dresses that were in budget. The staff were so sweet and worked as a team. I honestly can't recommend this place enough and I will be back for bridesmaids dresses!

    Our wedding day!

10/10 recommend CBW! I had a vision for my wedding dress and I couldn't explain it to anyone. I wanted a western/boho dress. I didn't want it to be traditional lace and I didn't want it to be so boho that it lost its bridal feel. The girls at CBW found a dress that I fell completely in love with, BUT it didn't wow me. It was missing a few details that I knew I wanted. They told me with Casablanca I could CUSTOM DESIGN my dress. We started by letting the designer know what I wanted changed and within a week I had a sketch and it went from there. My dress became exactly what I wanted it to be. After I left I searched high and low for a veil. CBW again knocked me off my feet when they told me I could have a custom veil to match my dress. I'm so thankful for all the girls but Elizabeth goes above and beyond and truly made me feel like a princess every single time I stepped foot into the store!

Not THE dress, but one of the many we loved.

We had a phenomenal experience at Carolina Bridal World! Erin was the name of the lovey lady that helped us, she was SO cheerful and knowledgeable. She made sure my sister felt special and answered any questions we may have had with ease and a smile. Thanks to her wonderful service, my little sister was able to find the dress of her dreams. I highly recommend you go visit Erin at Carolina Bridal World!

Caroline was absolutely amazing! She was so helpful and jumped right in, helping my daughter try on dresses, helping to hold it in the right places to see the proper fit (alterations will be needed to bring it in a little). She even found matching earrings and gave advice on what other jewelry she thought would look best. She was not pushy at all. She was so very patient as my daughter tried on about 8 different dresses. My daughter felt like a princess standing up on the pedestal surrounded by lights and mirrors. We ended up purchasing the most beautiful ball gown! We had not picked it up for her to try on, but Caroline selected it and offered it as an option and it turned out to be the absolute perfect dress! We both fell in love as soon as she put it on. I highly recommend Jewel's Formals to anyone in search of a formal gown.

Laci (I believe ) helped us at the beginning as we looked lost and overwhelmed then Ally took over and we had her full and undivided attention. Thankfully. She was very knowledgeable in fitting my son with his correct size, gave her opinion on best color to match his dates dress etc she answered all the questions we had and we felt at ease being there and having her help us. The suit side was tame compared to the dress side. We ended up buying a whole suit, vest, white shirt, 2 ties (we couldn't decide on the color) and 2 pocket chiefs. All for $275 which is less than what we paid to rent at MW. And my son will have this suit until he outgrows it. Perfect for upcoming clubs and interviews his senior year next year. I highly recommend this place for suits and dresses. I'll update my review with a picture of my son on his prom night next month! Thanks ALLY!!!

They were met with very young employees who they described as "very nice". The employee asked my daughter to sign a card consisting of her name, email, and phone number, but never explained as to why she needed to sign the card. During the "fitting" my wife said there was an older short blond female who they later found out was the owner of the establishment named "Denise". Denise was described as being very rude during their visit. At one point a dress was handed to my daughter with the lace corset straps untied by the employee. My daughter tried on the dress (with the help of a friend), but after getting the dress on realized it had a zipper in the back that had not been unzipped. They attempted to unzip the dress to remove it, but the dress would not unzip. They requested the employee help them, however the employee was also not able to unzip the dress. The employee then asked if she could remove the dress without unzipping it? My daughter explained that she was able to put it on without unzipping it, so she could take it off in the same manner. Denise then confronts my (juvenile daughter and her friend) in a very rude manner accusing them of damaging the dress. Then begins to yell inside of the store at my wife. Denise tells my wife that they have a policy that only the person trying on the dress and employee's are allowed in the fitting rooms, that my daughter & her friend damaged the dress and my wife was responsible for the damage. My wife attempts to explain that the zipper was non-functional when it was handed to my daughter and asked if was their policy to not have anyone else in the back, why was it allowed? Denise continued to yell in the store at my wife and her employee's and stated "And that's why we have the policy, because of people like that". During this interaction the entire store stopped shopping and watched Denise belittle my wife in front of her family and other customers. Denise was very rude, unprofessional, and will never have to worry about anyone in my family ever buying a dress from her again. We were immediately asked by the owner -short blonde hair- do you have an appt? She went to explaining that they could go ahead and see us bc they had availability but if they didn't we would not be able to see the dresses. Considering this was our first stop and first prom we were not aware of needing an appt to prom dress shop. Very awkward feeling. No video, no cameras, no FaceTime allowed! I do have to say the ONLY person that made us feel welcome there is the lady assisting us with the dresses (I don't remember her name but she had curly brown hair) Unfortunately we didn't find anything in the end but honestly the way the vibe / atmosphere in there I don't think I'd give a penny! Before leaving I asked to use the restroom... it seemed to be a BIG issue and I almost said don't worry about it but the two girls decided finally who was going to show me where the restroom was. After being the only customers in there for about an hour I don't understand the big deal of having an appt if you want your business to succeed... making your customers happy should be #1. Don't turn them away if it's "too booked!" People like us drove an hour to your business to feel awkward the entire time! This is a place where you should make your customers feel happy, excited, and beautiful... not feel awkward! 1st tip I would give is making the customer feel special the moment they walked into your facility! If you're looking for a beautiful dress try BELLA ESPOSA in Smithfield. They are helpful, NICE, laid back, and the prices are affordable! The girl that helped us deserves a 5 star however the others would get a zero star if able.

Once I was ready to pay, no one was willing to wait on me. If I'm spending over $500 on a suit, somebody probably needs to check me out. I was about 30 seconds away from dropping my purchase and walking out. In retrospect, I probably should have left. 3. The guy that checked me out seemed like he was in a hurry to get me out of the building. 4. Once I was rung up, and came home, I checked my receipt and was overcharged $30 from the tags on my purchase. 5. When I called the hotline to have that fixed, the girl helping me, Carmen, seemed annoyed at my request. I wasn't asking to save money, just to be charged what the tags said I should've been charged. 6. Rather than refunding the overcharge to my card, Carnen made it seem like I was at fault, and said the only options were to drive an hour+ to the store and get a refund, or get a store credit. 7. When I stated I didn't want a credit or to drive over an hour to the store, I told her I wanted it put on my card and she said we can only send you a check that will take you over a month to receive. Additionally, she said I would be returned the 29.99 that was overcharged to my purchase, and not the additional tax that I was charged. Other than one guy at the store, and a great suit that I purchased, I was overcharged, treated poorly, and was made to feel like I was wrong. I would not recommend the store to anyone. Although I still endorse Men's Wearhouse, I highly recommend everyone to avoid the CARY location. It is an absolute crap fest. Will NEVER shop at this location again. The guy that checked me out even complained about other employees for not putting up signs reflecting a discount on ties. Not at all professional, and after being overcharged for what I purchased and told too go look at the ties, I'm glad I didn't as I likely would have been charged full price as apposed to the sale price he was offering.

Until someone tries to hurt or disrespect my kids. My youngest is a senior in HS and I popped into town this weekend to take her dress shopping for prom. We drove to Raleigh to this place called Savvi Prom. When we walked in, we were greeted at the door warmly. The shop was full of high schoolers and their supporters; moms ,aunties, sisters, best friends, you name it. My daughter, close friend and I perused the selections and I finally convinced Smooch to try on some dresses. She was shy at first, but began to warm to the idea. This is where it went left. As I sat outside of the dressing room waiting for more dresses, my dear friend helped my daughter to zip one of the selections. One of the sales associates came up to me and asked why we were trying on dresses. As a matter of fact here's is the conversation. "What is this for?" Me: smiles, "It's for her senior prom" "What? SHE'S in high school? She looks old!" Me: (obviously irritated, but I will give grace because maybe she misspoke) "Wow, are you sure those are the exact words that you want say to me right now?" smirks, "Yeah, that's what I wanna say because she looks old! She looks older than me!' Me: How old are you? "I am 20!" Me: starting to see red ,"Is that all?" Enters second sales associate. "Wow, she's saying the exact same thing that I was thinking" They both start to giggle... Me: "Neither one of you have considered that my HIGH SCHOOL CHILD is in the dressing room listening to you. It would do you both a world of good to stop speaking to me and discussing my child" Other moms and daughters have witnessed this exchange and began to check in with my daughter and I to ensure that she is okay. My daughter emerges from the dressing room to put the dresses away and I insist that she leaves them and allow the sales girls to do their job. As we are leaving, one of the girls asks, "Were you thinking of anything else" I responded, Yes, I am thinking of leaving. I spoke with the owner, Denise, who seemed apologetic, but never made the girls apologize. I hate to do it, but we were one of few brown people in the shop. This is not what I drove here for. This is not the experience that my daughter should have had. She was hurt. She was discouraged. I wanted to act really ugly, but God. My baby is beautiful. She deserves better. We went outside to the patio when our order was done, and I realized I did not have a straw for my orange aid. It is located near the Outlet Mall but far enough away (half a mile) from the traffic from there. The shopping center is technically located in Selma, NC. The parking lot is large, but you might still have trouble finding a parking place as it is a busy store. DeWayne's is not an outlet store but a high-quality, family-owned store with name brands. You will find clothing, Pandora, Kendra Scott, Hey Dude, Vineyard Vines, Simply Southern, Tommy Bahama, Julie Vos, Birkenstock, and Yeti coolers, as well as shoes and accessories. I am sure I missed a lot. I wouldn't normally go two days in a row, but after I posted my photos, I saw other photos of the upstairs. So I had to see what I missed, and I decided to go looking for an item. Upstairs was the Attic, where items are discounted 50% and 70% on Wednesdays, I was informed by an employee. Christmas Land is the largest Christmas store in North Carolina, with eleven decorated rooms. The Garden Center with indoor and outdoor plants was another popular area. They had bird seed, different types of soil, and containers. The Sweet Shop had a variety of fudge and Hershey's ice cream. There were other specialty foods throughout the store and closer to the cash registers. Everyone here was friendly, and I was even recognized on my second visit. When I entered for the first time, the employee could tell I was a little overwhelmed and helped me learn the layout of the store. If the outlet mall isn't for you, make sure you stop at DeWayne's for a much better experience. On my first visit, I left with Suzy Zoo items, fudge and chocolates. While I didn't find what I was looking for on the second day, I found something in the Christmas Land that would work. The line to check out was much longer, so I kept finding more items while waiting to pay. It was a good thing I didn't get a cart. They do have a rewards club, which I should have joined, as I am looking forward to returning.
