We always use this company when we need dry ice. Very reasonable. Easy to find and the people there are so nice

I have had three sewer backups into our basement during the past year. The first time was on…read more4/7/2021 for which a different sewer line cleaning company took care of the backup. The second time was on 11/5/2021 and the third time was on 3/11/2022; for both of these backups, Dr. Rooter 911 took care of cleaning out the sewer line. I wanted to know why we were having frequent backups, so I requested John Werkmeister from Dr. Rooter 911 to use a video camera to inspect and determine the cause of the problem, which he did on 3/11/2022, but provided no verbal or written report of what he found and did not provide a digital copy of the findings. John said that there were significant problems with the sewer line, which could be addressed by his returning every four to six months to clean out or by replacing the sewer line. I asked John to locate the sewer line outside so I could get an estimate for replacing the sewer line; he came back on 3/17/2022 to do, but said I should contact Diggers Hotline and he would come back after the utility companies that provide services to our house mark the location of their lines. The utility companies marked their services lines on or before 4/4/2022. I made many unsuccessful calls to John to get him back out. He said that it might be a good idea to have the city determine if there is a problem with the main sewer line first. The city came out and determined that there was no problem with the main sewer line and I informed John. He said he would call the city to have them come out again and he would come on that day, which he did on 5/4/2022. The city did not find any problems with the sewer main. I asked him again to return to complete the video inspection and location of the sewer line, which he agreed to on 5/10/2022, but did not show up. Since 5/10/2022, John has not returned my calls, voicemail messages or text messages. John has provided excuses and rationales for alleged problems for completing the work. For example, he thought that perhaps the reason we have had the backups is due to tree roots despite the facts that: 1) He said when he cleaned out the sewer line in November and March that there were no tree roots; 2) We experienced a drought during 2021, so the trees weren't doing a lot of growth; and 3) Trees and their roots don't grow much, if at all, between November and March. Another excuse he gave for not locating our sewer line was that the city must have mismarked where our sewer line hooks up with the sewer main, but he had no equipment to make such a determination. The upshot of this is: * I paid Dr. Rooter 911 $225 for the video inspection of our sewer line and $300 for the location of the sewer line, but have no tangible results from the brief visits or refund for the cost of the services that weren't provided. * Since May 10th, John has not responded to calls, voicemail messages, or text messages. Note: Between 7/30/2022 and 8/19/2021, there are 24 entries of court cases in the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access database (Wisconsin Circuit Court Access (wicourts.gov). A couple of these cases appear to involve a different John Werkmeister, but there are many cases involving John operating as a different sewer line cleaning company (doing business as T Rooter Plumbing, Tropical Rooter, Doctor Rooter and Doctor Rooter 911), nonpayment of unemployment compensation to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, etc.

Didn't fill in hole dug, it's been 6 weeks been asking John to clean up yard every week, never calls back and when able to get ahold of him he always has an excuse not to do it, and will get to it "soon". Don't use them, half ass work, lack of proof of doing work (he used a video camera to see where clog was in pipe but did not provide video footage, ALL other companies have done it BUT NOT HIM... But he charged $250 for undocumented service...). Because Dr. Rooter (John) won't finish his job I need to do it... Half ass service, stay away!
