Came here for a sticker souvenir , they have loads of souvenirs in general which is nice if you're into souvenirs. A bit pricey ($6) for a small sticker but what can you do. Did a day trip to Annapolis and this place came recommended with the promise of the best cookies. I had to see for myself! The store itself is large with three total stories of things to buy. Lots of cool things to look at and buy. Touristy stuff. The bakery section looked absolutely amazing. Lots of huge cookies, fudge, and candy-dipped apples. I was there for the cookies and couldn't decide which flavor to get so naturally, I got pretty much one of every cookie. It's nearly $17/lb for cookie costs and I ended up buying $55 worth of cookies and two lemonades. The cookies are decent. They'd probably be phenomenal straight out of the oven and warm. But I wouldn't go out of my way again to get these cookies. The lemonade was pretty good. I'd try some of their other goodies as so many things looked delicious. My main complaint was the lady behind the counter working. She wore a shirt that said, "From the bottom of my heart, idgaf" and this could not be more true. She truly did not care. She had an attitude and made the whole interaction awkward and uncomfortable. She had a snotty comment for everything. When she handed me my bag of cookies, the handle broke on the bag. I asked for a second bag so I could double bag it and easily carry it. She proceeded to tell me that the bag broke because I bought too many cookies and the bag can't support all of them. You'd think they'd want the business and the money. I definitely did not appreciate this grouchy lady. Maybe she was having a bad day, I'm not sure. But her attitude kind of soured the experience. I would be willing to give this place another try. I would love to try one of their caramel apples! If I encounter another rude staff I probably would not return. read more

wish I could rate below a 1 star. they have very poor customer service, tried to overcharge me by $7 on a bracelet (thankfully knew the price), got upset instantly when I accidentally dropped an item on the floor, and some guy serving fudge made a sarcastic remark when my buddy was asked about his camera. the fudge guy said, "we don't need a whole life story" after my friend went on to answer a question another employee had for him. don't go to this shitty place, they need a new store in town read more

Everyone gets a hello & welcome when they walk in. A souvenir store on steroids located on Main Street not too far from the waterfront. I wanted to pick up something cool for my neighbor's son & it took me a while as the store has so many neat things. I kept getting sidetracked looking at items for myself. In addition to the normal keychains, cups, notepads, greeting cards, frames, trinkets galore, candy, snacks, bottled/packaged food items, you can find merchandise representing Annapolis & the Naval Academy. I really couldn't find anything for him besides the massive mini-cars he already has & decided to look somewhere else. Before I left, the employee I believe who is the Manager/Owner asked what I was looking for. I told him, he came out from behind the counter & led me to the perfect gift - a wind-up Crab toy. To say my little neighbor was so excited when I gave it to him is an understatement & when I see him outside he yells at me to look at his pet crab LOL. My husband and I drove from Southern Maryland to visit A L Goodies in Annapolis, MD on January 4, 2024, to purchase cookies while on a staycation for the holidays. We purchased one of each of the following cookies, which totaled $30.61: Oatmeal Raisin, Chocolate Chip Pecan, Snickerdoodle, and Peanut Butter. We've patronized the establishment many times over the years and have purchased key chains, clothing, etc. in the past. My husband and I have noticed in 2019, that the quality of the cookies changed and each time we visited we hoped the quality would be top notched like it was prior to 2019 but to no avail. Unfortunately, when we ate the above listed cookies, the quality was no longer there. The cookies tasted old, missing ingredients, and just disgusting. This visit was supposed to be an enjoyable event, but I was totally disappointed by this experience and was truly inconvenienced. I urgently request someone to investigate and take action. Bottom Line: Super touristy with an entertaining element. A.L. Goodies has been in business on Main Street forever. It is a super touristy store with three levels of Naval Academy, Annapolis and nautical themed stuff like tshirts and knick knacks. Additionally they have fudge, candy, greeting cards, small toys and other non-essentials. Until recently I hadn't been in this store in about 20 years but it seems to remain unchanged. You'll know when you've arrived to A. L. Goodies on Main Street when you come across the storefront in which fresh fudge is being made. In addition to selling fresh fudge they also sell other candy like Jelly Bellys and chocolate dipped goodies like Twinkies. The more you search the nooks and crannies of this store the more interesting it gets. For example, I love that they have naughty adult greeting cards right next to the religious saying cards. read more

My son and I were visiting Annapolis,MD. He was there for business and I went for fun, and the boat show! We stopped by A L Goodies because they had these very nice jackets on a rack outside. They were great reversible jackets with embroidered design on both sides, and the price was great! I bought one for both of us. When we got back to Pittsburgh, he went to wear it and noticed a cut on the front (looked as though from a box cutter). I got in touch with them through their response request through text. I got an immediate response to the problem. Mike, the manager was so quick in responding, but was not at store at that moment. He said he would check for another in that size. The very next morning he found a replacement and sent it right out through mail! I am so impressed, you just don't see that kind of service anymore! Thanks Mike! read more

Truly a tourist trap. They don't put price tags or signage on anything. I'm a local but stopped in twice to get things to send to family, and was shocked at the register. Learned my lesson. I'll go to one of the other 5 shops on the same street in the future. read more
