Chris came out to give us a bid and he was very knowledgeable about their products, any prep work needed, and how to care for the new floor after installation. We were so impressed, we decided to accept the bid on the spot and move forward with the project! Scheduling and payment were simple. Teresa was responsive and helpful with any questions we had. The two guys (Gabe and ?) who completed our project showed up on time, and we even received a text letting us know their arrival time the morning of. They did a wonderful job and cleaned everything up really well. Loved that our floor was completed in one day! We picked the Pebble Beach color combo and absolutely love it. It goes really well with our concrete driveway and pine cabinets. So far we've been babying our new floor, so we haven't had to deal with any clean-ups yet. Untrustworthy, failed utterly at their install and refused to give a refund…read more I'm shocked by the way this company handled my project. Their salespeople were extremely responsive and repeatedly assured me they could successfully apply a clear coat to my residential concrete floor. They tried twice to apply a clearcoat in a normal scenario that was only hampered by their incompetence, not the slab or conditions. Both installations were shockingly poor due to what appeared to be negligent workmanship. The product itself may be fine, but both times the installers failed to properly vacuum before applying the coating. They also just applied the coating wrong based on letting it dry too long between edging and other coats. The finished floor contained hundreds of pieces of debris, including plastic, stones, dust, and footprints from the installers' cleats embedded in the clear coat. There were also obvious application lines from inconsistent mixing and application. To their credit, they apologized after the first install, agreeing that it looked awful and was done wrong. They agreed to grind the floor down and redo the installation. However, this cost me significant time, inconvenience, and frustration. Unfortunately, the second installation was nearly as bad. Once again, the clear coat was full of debris, with very few square feet of the floor free of sharp embedded concrete and unmixed hard bits of the floor coating. There were also multiple white, discolored areas caused by what I can only assume was poor installation. This second install was finished after midnight since they arrived with the wrong materials and pushed through into early morning. Hearing them working at that hour did not lend confidence. After the second failed attempt, I told them I was not willing to risk a third installation. By that point I had already been severely inconvenienced, and I no longer had confidence they could produce an acceptable result. I requested a refund, and they told me that sounded reasonable. After weeks of complete silence, I finally contacted Teresa, who had been my point of contact. Instead of a resolution, I received a legally worded email the next day that took no responsibility for the workmanship and failure. It simply quoted the contract and stated that no refund would be issued. Their negligence has cost me thousands of dollars not including what I paid them, in addition to an enormous amount of time and stress. Given the quality of the work they performed, I am genuinely shocked they refuse to stand behind a refund and I hope I can save other people from this company that does terrible work and doesn't even have the ethics to give a refund when they fail to deliver what was clearly promised. This is not a case of an overly critical customer or a subjective disagreement about quality. I'll include photos if this site lets me so you can judge the workmanship for yourself. To back up my claims I'll post photos elsewhere with this review if yelp does not allow them. The defects are obvious. Stay away from this company. I should have been more careful and listened to the other one star ratings on this site. These are just a few photos. You can see two versions of failure in the same doorway in these photos. The white marks in the doorway are a part of the coating from applying it incorrectly. Update: I appreciate the response from the owner. Though this review was written on August 6th and it's now the 11th and I did not get a call from CAP. I called in today and they said they would get back to me soon. Hopefully they will stand behind this message. Either way I'll keep updating here what actually happens. Update 2: Another week has passed and I still have not heard anything back from CAP and received no calls. I sadly have to conclude that the response from CAP to this message was just for show. The drywall work that was done was not done very well and was sloppy. -They left staples in the ceiling from when they hung up a cloth to help with splatter. -They did not fill all the holes that were made in the ceiling. -There is spots were there are large splatters of drywall that isn't consistent with the texture of the rest of the drywall. I smoothed out some of it after they left but today I realized that I missed some of the large splatters and now they are dry. -They made a mess and didn't clean it up well. There was a small patch of splatter on my carpet. It was on my cupboards and microwave in the kitchen. All of this sloppy work ended up being more than I was quoted too.
