The photos weren't good. I felt a bit forced to carry a bouquet when I really didn't want to. It was all right.

Ask the Community - A Little Wedding Garden

What if the weather is bad?

No problem! We have an equally beautiful inside space where you can be married in front of our fireplace. If you really want to be married outside, just call to move your appointment to another day. Either way works for us.

What do I need to bring with me to get married there?

Bring 1. Marriage Licence, 2. Yourselves! We provide... -Beautiful Venue…

Do I have to get a license before I come there to be married?

Yes. You need to get a licence from any Courthouse in Virginia first, and you need to take about $40 so you can pay the fee there. Also, it's best to go together and bring legal I.D., plus final paperwork for any divorces or annulments you've had.…

She has seen weddings, receptions, birthdays, proms, quenceneras, baby showers, bridal showers, engagement announcements, rehearsals, bridal shows, retirement parties, dinner parties, public and private Teas, Holiday parties, business meetings, celebrations of life, fund raising events and even political rallies. The house was originally built in 1770 by William Walthall and passed down to his daughters, Polly and Susannah (our purported ghost), then sold to a Doctor Anderson who extended the front of the house in the 1830s. Later, he sold it to a Doctor Friend who resided there when she would serve as a civil war hospital. Sold again, yet to another doctor, Dr. Thomas Cheatham, the house grew again to form a “T” shaped structure. After his death, the home would fall into severe disrepair only to be restored in the 1930s and named Wrexham. The Hague family lived there and maintained what became a “mansion” in the 1960s when it was added to once again. The new addition begged for an upgraded name, which is the now, Wrexham Hall. Sold to Judge Gates in the 1970s, he would sell it and have it moved to its current location. The last addition was made by the Brennan family, an event room that would serve many for years to come. Now owned by Greg and Carol Marion. She is still an event space as well as a Bed and Breakfast. Come Enjoy

The girls loved picking out a dress and getting their nails and makeup done with real makeup. The princesses are fantastic! Great voices, high quality costumes, wigs, and makeup. We had Elsa and Anna and they had such a cute entrance with so you want to build a snowman and let it go. We even had one girl a little nervous about the idea of a fashion show (which were the princesses twirling them, showing them how to curtesy, and doing a pose of a princess of choice), but they were super accommodating with her too (not everyone loves the stage!). As a parent, it was great because the princesses and staff handled serving the food and cleanup. I think most of the girls were a little star struck and acted shy, but all gushed afterwards about it being so much fun. If we had more kids, I think I would have opted for an extra half hour, but 1.5 hours was perfect for the crowd we had! My recommendation would be to make sure to remind your guests to arrive right on time, especially if you're having a bigger party! It's a well oiled machine, but it works best when on time!

The staff was very attentive, and I did not have to touch anything once we stepped the the door. Just provide food, and they will plate it. The costumes were cute, decor cute, and concept is wonderful. The makeup room was amazing- but needed to be bigger- because that is where everyone wanted to be. I over all was very pleased head to toe. The only criticism is it needs a fresh paint job throughout and a bigger landing for where the princess ends/kids meet.

We were hoping to find a vineyard and found Spring Run on one of our searches. We were unable to reach anyone by telephone at first but it was already kind of late in the day so we just drove over there and unfortunately for us, we happened to go when it was closed. We called while we were in the parking lot and the super friendly owner answered and apologized that she was closed that day but talked us into visiting them the next day. We almost didn't make it the next day but we managed it and I'm so happy that we did! The owners are super friendly and explained the history of the vineyard and it was so beautiful and peaceful to just sit there and enjoy some wine and cheese and talk to the owners. We did wine flights and my favorite was their blackberry wine which we both ended up taking bottles of home with us. I thought the blackberry wine would be too sweet as I'm not a fan of sweet wine but it was more fruity than sweet and had the perfect taste. We also tried the Goot Essa Cheese and Rip Rap crackers and I can honestly say that it was some of the best cheese I had ever tasted! It's a 3 year sharp cheddar and it went perfectly with our wine flights! We also ended up taking a couple souvenir shirts with us as a memory to our awesome experience. I have family in Virginia and will definitely be making time to visit this vineyard again when I make it back!
