Not only do they teach the kids academics such as math and letters, they also do many arts/crafts projects and teach the kids about diversity and kindness. I really love Busy Beez. My daughter's fondest moments of her school were the friends she made, the class projects (science and arts), and the time they brought a petting zoo to the school. Highly recommend this school!

Her child care is beyond child care. She provides a safe, very clean and nurturing environment. Ms. Emilie cooked daily, cleaned daily, and also did laundry for nap time blankets and sheets. Every day there was a new topic and accompanying art project. They also play outside in the backyard often. My daughter learned so much academic wise being in her care. My daughter was also transformed when attending Busy Beez. When I first started, she was shy and timid, quick to meltdowns. They helped her learn to use her words, be patient, and learn to share. They also helped teach her to nap through nap time! (this was a huge struggle for me but it also carried over into the home.) I HIGHLY recommend busy beez for quality childcare. We are forever thankful that we sent our daughter there because she had such a positive experience. If you have any other questions definitely DM me! This was our first and only child, so I know how scary it can be making such a big decision. I toured many many daycares...nothing in the area compared. Knocked one star off because behavior after termination was less than professional. :)

Although this is a Catholic School they do welcome all religious backgrounds. It's a small, one class per grade school, but that's what I like about it the most. And because the school is well known the spaces fill quickly and given priority to returning students. Start them in Pre-School, TK or Kindergarten to secure your spot.

I called countless times, went in person several times, left voicemails,…read moreemails, and finally got a person on the phone uninterested in having a new student attend the school. We've been in the neighborhood for 30 years, have attended mass and voting. Apparently, after meeting with another parent of color, they're not looking for us- unless you're Asian! A CHURCH, RELIGIOUS place, discriminating regularly and openly in your face. The business we were members of decided to participate in the local Christmas tree lighting here (it was a sad fake tiny tree), and it was for the community. They made us pull our own chairs out and set them up as the event started! I mean various people set up hundreds of chairs for ALL spectators. One parent boycott the event because they outright ignored her requests for her child to attend the school. Our business didn't return the following year. Disorganized, unapologetic, racist, arrogant, and bothered by people of color- black and brown.

Flores Academy provides a welcoming and safe space for our child to learn through a variety of ways in both English and in Spanish. Each month has a theme with updated curriculum every week. The team is great with updates and answering any questions. They provide meals for the children and even support the potty training process. Thanks to her care, my daughter adjusted smoothly and even met her best friend there, who is now in the same TK class with her! My younger daughter is currently enrolled and started when she was about 10 months old. She'll be turning 2 in April, and it amazes us how much she learns and grows every day. She comes home showing us new things, has so much fun, loves her teachers, and genuinely gets excited when we're on our way to school. Karen does an amazing job with communication. She sends out a monthly newsletter and curriculum at the beginning of each month, and we always know what the kids are learning and working on. The consistency, care, and attention they provide truly make this place special. We're so grateful to have found a daycare where our children feel happy, safe, and loved.

From the moment we…read morewalked through the doors, we knew this was more than just a daycare--it's a deeply nurturing, thoughtful, and safe environment where children are truly seen, heard, and loved!!!! Ms. June and her incredible team of teachers are nothing short of amazing. They are caring, attentive, compassionate, and deeply committed to each child's well-being and development. You can feel the love and dedication in everything they do. They genuinely pour their hearts, energy, and expertise into every aspect of the program. One of the things that sets SmartStart apart is their commitment to providing home-cooked nutritious meals for the children. Every day, breakfast, lunch, and snacks are freshly prepared with care which is something that's rare and so appreciated in today's fast-paced world. What's even more impressive is their focus on their emotional intelligence starting as early as age 2. Ms. June and her team guide the children through understanding their feelings, learning empathy, and building the foundation for respectful, inclusive interactions. It's a beautiful way to raise emotionally aware and kind future adults, and it shows in the way the children treat each other. They also keep parents incredibly connected and informed through an app, where they share regular updates and photos throughout the day. It's such a joy to see the children engaged in creative projects, hands-on lessons, and meaningful play. Most importantly, Smart Start is a place you can completely trust. The safety and well-being of the children is clearly the top priority, and the environment is both warm and secure. As a parent, there's nothing more comforting than knowing your child is in such capable and loving hands!!!! You can truly see the blood, sweat, and tears that go into making Smart Start the wonderful place it is. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

A few months after we started, I had my first run in and realized communication with Ms. K was going to be difficult. Initially she sold us on how flexible scheduling was, then out of the blue changed her policy to mandating a set schedule. When I asked a few clarifying questions about what would be allowed and what wouldn't, Ms. K became very defensive. Told me that she didn't need my business and I could go elsewhere if I didn't agree. It was only after my husband raised the same questions that she conceded. I am aware that a business has the right to update at will, but the communication around it was very unprofessional. Our second run-in happened because Ms.K sent us a picture of our son being fed a snack by her assistant. At this stage, my son was 2, and could definitely feed himself. The issue was more so because the assistant had her hands entirely too far in my sons mouth. We simply responded to the text asking that the assistant or anyone not put their hands in his mouth. We explained that it just isn't necessary (not to mention unsanitary) unless the child is choking. Ms. K responded back extremely rude and defensive. Accused us of calling her assistant dirty. We again had to bite the bullet because I didn't want my son to be negatively affected in her care. We began actively seeking another place to move him. Lastly, we found a new school and informed Ms.K that we would be leaving. Aside from the communication issues, my son is a fast learner, and we felt he needed to be somewhere with a bit more structure and educational stimulation. At first she seemed happy for us and even said "I want all the kids to grow". We felt great that we'd be leaving on a good note, and she even offered to accept our infant when space was available. A few days later (on our sons last day), at drop off she told me that she was not ok that we pulled our son from her program before he was ready for kindergarten and that in all the years no kid has ever left before 5 years old. I found that hard to believe (and actually knew for a fact that wasn't true), but she continued by saying that she changed her mind about allowing our baby to come because she "had a feeling" we would pull the baby out early at some point too. UNBELIEVABLE. It took everything in me not to respond or simply run out of there with my son, but she chose to confront me in front of him and I didn't want his last day to be ruined. It was difficult to leave only because my son enjoyed his time there, especially Ms. K's main helper, Oma. Oma is a saint! and part of the reason we stuck it out for so long. It was hard to be happy and content sending him somewhere that I felt I couldn't openly communicate with the caregiver and had to walk on eggshells. Not to mention feeling disrespected by the way I was being spoken to (yet she would never speak to my husband that way). I know this is a long review but I feel like this detail would have been helpful when were were initially seeking care. I now know it is equally as important for the parents to feel content as it is for the kids. Hope this helps!
