The environment was consistently clean, safe, and thoughtfully structured. She never got sick, which speaks to the level of care and attention the staff brings to their work every single day. Their policies are clear and firm, and it is evident that they exist to protect the children and keep the space running smoothly. We always had peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. Nyisha and her team of teachers made learning fun, and integrated learning into hands-on activities and projects to the point that my kids will now fondly flip back through the optional workbooks they were each given and reminisce about picking oranges from the tree to make orange juice or making mud pies in the mud kitchen (I think the mud was imaginary, but am not quite sure - either way it's a fond memory for my kids). Their kindergarten teachers asked where they'd gone to preschool, and I could point directly back to the way that Nyisha and her team gently and consistently guided them towards developing critical thinking skills, skills like "how to look at the book the teacher is reading so you see the pictures before she turns the page despite being in a classroom full of other interesting and distracting children", and even how they approached toilet learning with us. She made us feel comfortable about the transition and we knew that I could trust her with her care. The first week, Shayvon sent us frequent updates and reassured us that everything would be ok. She is very communicative and is always available to answer questions. After a few weeks, my son was excited to go to school and drop offs became a breeze. LDCA offers a variety of learning, play, and explorative opportunities, such as music, dance, art, and sports. THe kids also learn how to draw, identify letters, shapes, and numbers, and so much more! Shayvon makes it feel like a family- celebrating birthdays, holidays, and getting families together for events like trunk-or-treat for Halloween. My child learned how to count to one hundred, she was assisted with potty training, and her reading skills increased significantly. She attends part time now, but when she started Kindergarten she was ahead of most of her classmates. The field trips are always educational and fun. When they have snack time and lunch time is very organized and the children are well mannered. During regular school breaks, my child is able to go to A Little World Montessori, and I do not need to look for a babysitter or miss a day of work. My daughter loves A Little World Montessori. We have two children there - one has attended the program from 2 years of age to graduation, and the other from 8 months to current age of 3.5. Both of our kids really enjoy it there, have made good friends, and we feel they are becoming prepared academically for TK/kinder (knowing all letters/numbers up to 10 before entering TK). We really like that the school is integrated with the church, not because we are religious, but because it provides a greater sense of community. They do really cute Halloween, Christmas and graduation events in the church space. The school is very racially and socioeconomically diverse which we appreciate. The programming is pretty standard (by that I mean, don't expect the same child-centered, organic food only, education you might get by paying more elsewhere) but it has been a positive experience for both our kids.

Mommy Peaches has the best set ups and parties. What really warmed my heart was during every holiday, she would always send my daughter a gift or gift bag. My daughter was never in her school.
