The offer was more than fair. Once I confirmed to go ahead with the project, they arrived the same day to do the bulk of the work. The tree was successfully brought down despite there being power lines in the way, with no property damage or any accidents. Some logs were left behind, but they were removed several days later as is often the case with jobs like this. Other than a small divot in the lawn where the tree came down, you'd hardly know the tree had been recently removed. So overall, very happy with the work done. That being said, whenever you hire a contractor to do something like this, always get everything (including the price, timeline, specifics and their signature) written down to cover yourself. I'm not victim-blaming the negative reviews here, but cynicism and paperwork are your friends.

They started work a week early. Even the office manager was responsive and helpful. They showed up with a team of more than 6,7 guys. All nice and waving to my one year old daughter watching in amazement. They had a SUPERVISOR stop by. They cleaned up EVERYTHING they did. They protected my grass with plastic mats. THEY WORKED THEIR BUTTS OFF. They must have burned 5,000 calories each taking my dangerous tree down. I haven't been this impressed by a company from quote to set up to clean up to payment. I keep telling my wife two things. A) I can't believe how good they were and B) how did they really remove the stump that well? I'm basically in shock at how lucky I got finding this company. They provided a very…read morecompetitive quote for sod for our front yard, they showed up on time and completed the installation. The work was guaranteed for a year. It was good thing, because at least of it died despite us watering regularly, etc. When we called, we were informed that the sod was diseased from the vendor and they would replace. They did and all was good until the next year. Suddenly, despite us using pest/fungas/crab grass control, fertilizing and watering, we developed a wealth of weeds. In particular, a lot of crab grass. Since that time we have paid Ecoturt to aerate, fertilize and do spring clean ups. This year our lawn just died and all we can grow is weeds. I emailed Ecoturf and asked them to come out and look at the lawn. I got no response. I called twice and left messages and got no responses. Recently, I spoke with my neighbor who said that they fired Ecoturf because their lawn was getting weeds (and she had a really nice lawn). All in all, I am very dissapointed. I have likely spent about $4,000+ dollars with Ecoturf and I have a lawn full of dead grass and weeds. My suggestion would be to find a different landscaper.

The weather has been absolutely perfect for driveway work. As far as I know, no one has been by. For certain no one has contacted us. For certain no one has done anything in the driveway. No excuses, City Paving. We held a family meeting, I called one last time this morning-2 busy signals and a no answer. The address on the contract is a private residence, not an office. We will pay for another company to come and repair City Pavings workmanship issues before the freezing weather sets in and further damages the driveway. It is a shame we already recommended them to other people. That will never happen again. Oh well, live and learn. Update- So, after 4 months someone came by and looked at it. Says they will be back when the weather is warmer...sigh....it was warmer when we started calling, but whatever. I guess I will cancel the other company. Fortunately they had fallen on the ground, causing no property damage. I called Andrew, of Trout Brook Landscaping to take down the damaged branches. Andrew has done tree removal previously on my property and on my parent's, so I knew he would be the perfect man for the job. Andrew is extremely professional, responsive and skilled in his line of work. He immediately came with his equipment, and took down the heavy tree branch, and he cut down the damaged branches off the dogwood tree. He of course cleaned up all of the tree debris. I highly recommend Andrew of Trout Brook Landscaping. If you need tree removal, or are concerned if your tree might be unsafe for your home, or anything else regarding landscaping. Being from California, the concept of trees, vast open spaces of land, and inclement weather are foreign to me; I needed help. My lawn was too big to mow myself; and I didn't want to add another chore to my bf's house upkeep list. We received a flyer in the mail from Highwood Landscaping offering a discount so I decided to test them out. Lawn mowed; no problems! After that test run, we kept them on for scheduled mowing, and I've been nothing but pleased. Then the Fall hit, the leaves were everywhere, everywhere, everywhere! We don't have this many trees in Cali! I never knew it could become such a problem. My lawn was definitely bringing the value of the neighborhood down, as it had become such an eyesore covered in leaves. But luckily, Highwood could take care of my Fall Cleanup as well. Phew. After several weeks of watching them closely to make sure we just weren't missing it, we politely asked if we misunderstood the services we were paying for and they responded by denying they neglected the weed-whacking and cancelled our service all together because the yard was too "bumpy." Perhaps they shouldn't have been mowing over the ONE tree our yard has and used a weed-whacker over the roots instead? If you want cheap, go with Highwood. If you want quality professionals, look elsewhere.

Contacted Christopher on Monday He came here on Wednesday,because I was not available on Tuesday…read more He gave me an estimate which I accepted and he came with his crew and completed the work on Thursday. Three very large oak trees had extensive growth extending over my roof. My insurance company had demanded that they be trimmed back. In addition, a gutter downspout was draining directly onto my driveway which they wanted me to redirect. Chris and his crew trimmed the trees exactly as discussed. He was able to set up his equipment in my driveway so as to traverse all areas and trim trees in the front of the house. He used a ladder and ropes to get up to trim tree branches in the backyard. There was no damage to my yard. All fallen branches were put in a wood chipper and carted away. the yard was raked clean. It was cleaner when they left than before they arrived. Chris brought a section of gutter with him which he used to redirect water from my driveway. I was both surprised and pleased. Cost for the above was very reasonable.
