I happened to find this place for the first time in July 2025, after heading into town to go to Dollar General and it was my 2 years old best time of her life! She loves animals and her heart was so full with so many laughs and shrieks of joy at all the things to do here! I've recommended it to so many people from well over 2 hours away! We came up to Rice Lake for a weekend get away and found this lovely place! Our family grew up on farmland as well and this was the coolest thing I've ever seen! I live near by and visited when I was too young to understand what a puppy mill is. I enjoyed my time there, before I understood the repercussions of giving money to a place like this. Their breeder license reports that they have over 1,000 dogs. The website lists over 100 puppies available for sale right now. What happens to the ones that don't sell? How does one care for that many puppies? How can they afford to stagger the genetic lines properly and avoid in-breeding with the amount of breeds they have? Very reasonably priced for all of the fun things to do. 3 large slides, barn animals, pony rides, pretty garden, jump houses, food, mini golf, corn pit, and much more. We had so much fun here! Our kids were so excited to run around and see everything. They've added new things since we came last. We spent three hours there but couldn't have stayed even longer. My family and I visited this farm for our family trip. What started out as a great day turned into a traumatic event for animal lovers who visit this place. I witnessed 2-5 yr olds pick up baby bunnies by their legs, or head. They would squeeze them so hard, and of course the squirt bunnies would try to escape. I saw so many bunnies fly out of little kids hands and the bunnies fell face first onto the cement floor or bench that has no padding in their pen. Oh also- the 6 rabbits share one tiny bowl of water! There was no employees to be seen, and the ones who were in there were very young and weren't even watching the animals; they were off to the side day dreaming or sweeping the floor. I saw many families go into the animal pens and grab and pick up these animals without any guidance or help. I also witnessed a little boy stepping on a bird in the bird room. The whole experience left me traumatized enough where I sent a message on your website stating the concerns for the small animals at your business. I didn't get a response back so that left me no option other than to write this review. I will advocate for the animals who can't speak up for themselves until something changes. You guys could do amazing things educating all the families that come in about all the different types of animals. But unfortunately I cannot support this business until things change for the better for the animals at Amazen Farmyard! read more

We came in for our second time today, prices were fine. The condition of some of these animals are atrocious, goats that were skin and bones, refusing to eat, when asked about it we were told they were under watch of their condition. Secondly, we witnessed a child throw a baby guinea pig into the pen after holding it, the baby guinea pigs should not have been allowed to be seen by the public until they are much older (they were at most 2 months old). Like other reviews, we love our 11 month old Malchi. She's smart, loving and very cute. We got her when she was just 5 months old. So needless to say we were VERY disappointed when 3 weeks ago her patella became dislodged from her back right leg ( see luxating patella). We now have to get surgery for her, at 11 months, at a cost to us $2,000. Everything I have read about that says this is caused by breeders, and breeding issues, such as, but not limited to.....breeding animals as quickly as they can. Not waiting until 2-1/2 to 3 years, which is recommended. It says that if not "bred out", they will tend to be genotypically more likely to reproduce luxating patellas. Well I do have a friend who got a dog from the places and she is really a great dog and animal can get separation anxiety issues and fear Just look at people and how fearful of things that have such a small chance of hurting you it is not almost impossible.but people still worry about and are fearful and even may act out even if raised in good homes. Just like every kid that lives in a broken home does not mean they will become addicts or criminals or never care about people. It just depend on the person and the same with dogs. But one thing I do find is disturbing about the 5 rating is that some have the exact phases in then. I had a friend who went there and she was looking for a dog that would be less the 15 pound when grown. Well they showed her where the small puppies and she had a chance to pick from about 30 of them running all over the place playing. She got her dog last week. I have the place a 3 because some people do get a good puppy but at the same time they are to big of a breeder and should work doing less breeding and having healthy, well socialize happy puppies and dogs read more

We purchased our Cockalier, Molly when she was 3 months old from Valley View Puppies. She is very smart and at 8 months old, she has not had any health issues, other than having to have 6 upper front teeth removed (during her spay procedure) due to misalignment. However, from the day we brought her home she has had the disgusting habit of eating her poop (coprophagia). We have tried many different things to dissuade her from eating it but nothing works. I was there last summer, and it will be my last. The puppies were without water on a very hot day; I suggested that they should have water, and the young staff member told me she'd look into it. About 30 minutes later, the puppies still did not have water. I went inside the main building and asked if the puppies could have water and was told that they don't always give them water because the dogs will walk in it, and no one wants to pick them up if they are all wet. Animals, like humans, need access to clean water at all times. I bought a Shorkie from here. It ended up with an upper respiratory infection a day after I got him home. 2 days later our other dog ended up catching the same infection. The vet thinks both had kennel cough. I was aware that my shorkie had a small hernia and his hair is definitely not thick. Now reading about all these puppy mills, I am concerned for what could lie ahead. I definitely would not go back. The fact that they bring them in back for a bath when u purchase them is so weird. My son and I have just been there for 3rd time. For the price of admission (which is reasonable) you have alot to see and do. My son Grady usually spends 3+ hours on the inflatables, and today he also did, but after that we went to see peacocks, which are his favorite and spent an hour there admiring the beauty of them. We purchased a goldendoodle from this breeder in 2017. When we arrived, we asked about the goldendoodles whose prices has been lowered. A young man got in a vehicle and drove to get them, they were not in the main pet store. When he came back, he had brought two for us to look at. One was completely terrified. Refused to even look at us, or move. That should have been a warning sign to us, but we felt so bad for him, that's the one we brought home. He sat in the back seat for 4 hours and never moved and never made a sound. Once we got him home, he would only move his eyes to look at us, not his whole head. I believe he had lived in a cage that was too small and couldn't raise his head. His legs shook when he went up and down the stairs to go outside. He had no muscle strength. He had constant loose stools and had to be put on a special diet. He overcame his shyness and is a great dog but after what I read about this place, it made me sick. I don't understand how this place can continue to operate. Look at the puppies for sale on their website. They have no life in their eyes. The people who run this puppy mill have no decency - how can you treat animals this way? Don't buy from them. read more

The dogs are nothing like I expected! They are very skittish, timid, act like they haven't been handled, afraid of people, the schedule they came with only said to give water 2 times aday. This place is a living hell for animals. Would give this place negative stars if I could. We bought a Shih Tzu puppy(who we love beyond compare) from here before we found out all about them. It started to make sense as when we met our dog he seemed scared for his life and like he had never had ANY human interaction. We felt so bad for him that there was no we could leave him there so we of course took him home. The guy working the pet store disappeared for 20 minutes after we asked about a Shih tzu. Probably because he was walking to their puppy mill they keep in sheds back beyond public view. He also didn't seem to give a single shit about the dogs we was supposed to be taking care of. I purchased my puppy through amazing farmyard. I noticed she had some coughing. Bring her into the vet they said probably just allergies and put her on Benadryl. Coughing continued bring her back they thought maybe acid reflux. But as the coughing continued a bring her in again and they did an x-ray. Said they had never seen anything like this before and recommended University of Minnesota. Turns out she had a birth defect. The lower lobes of her lungs never developed. They thought possibly from a pneumonia so I contacted amazing farmyard to find out if she had ever had a pneumonia. I talked to the owner Paul he was extremely sympathetic and told me he wanted to pay for some of her medical bills. Later I received a check for the entire amount that I had paid for her. Upon further testing University of Minnesota said this has nothing to do with the breeder. It was a birth defect that anyone can get. Both parents were healthy. He did not have to give me any money. And I did not ask for any, he did this out of the goodness of his heart and his genuine care for animals. I give him a 10 star. I definitely recommend this breeder. read more

I purchase a puppy at Valley View puppies. I had him 92 days and he died. I had just lost my Staffordshire shire terrier in January after 12 years. I purchased my Mr. Slate in May of 2020. My puppy had bad breath when I bought him I thought maybe he wasn't eating a good food. Come to find out his bad breath was the sign of a congenital condition which cause kidney failure. I feel Valley View knew that they sold me a sick puppy. I went there after slate passed away and ask them what they were going to do. In my paperwork ( medical records)it states that slate was possibly purchased from a puppy mill. The person that I was speaking to was more worried and upset about that being written in a report then the fact that they sold me a puppy thay was now dead after 92 days. Also when I spoke to the vet who I'm not sure if it was really the vet. The vet was more concerned about not knowing who the dogs parents were and that they shouldn't breed them again. My question is aren't they supposed to know who the parents are?!! Well after talking with the supposed vet and the gentleman that was working behind the counter he came out with two puppies and told me I can pick one out of the two puppies. I took the puppy and I had the puppy checked out immediately. I have a healthy puppy now. But I went through hell. These people are sad and heartless. Don't believe these professional payed activists that are trying to ruin a good business. My wife and I purchased a 3 month cavapoo pup (Little Vic) in 2008. He gets a bi-yearly check up and passes with a clean bill of health.We had a chance to take a tour of all the buildings and it was a very clean facility. They have a volunteer staff along with full time and part time employee's to give the dogs care and attention. This place is a despicable Puppy Mill! My neighbor and I each purchased a puppy there in March 2018. The young man who helped us, whom I believe may be the owners son, was rude and defensive when we asked if they were a puppy mill. He told me, they bought a lot of their puppies at auctions. He manhandled the puppies to the point that the poor little things were shaking uncontrollably. He insisted on bathing the pup before I could stop him, he roughly scooped the pup out of its kennel and went to a back room where I heard the cries of the pup, then a hair dryer. It was all over in 5 minutes and when he reappeared with the pup, the poor thing was scare to death. Both of our dogs are still very fearful and mistrusting. I have had many dogs/puppies over the last 60 years, and have never seen this kind of fear in a dog. All the TLC in the world may not do the trick, but I'll never give up trying! Beauty is only skin deep as this place may look cute on the outside, but on the inside it's deplorable!!! This place needs to be shut down SOON!! read more

This is a puppy mill. Look at the Facebook page "Shut down A maze'n Farmyard" to see actual inspection reports. The dogs here are harbored in unsafe and unsanitary conditions. We didn't know this and purchased a puppy here recently. She is exceedingly fear aggressive because she was either not socialized or was abused. We have had to hire both a behaviorist and a trainer, and while both say we may see some improvement, she will never be normal. read more

I bought a dog here in 08 and she had kennel cough pretty bad within the first week. She was terrified of us but eventually she warmed up except for the excessive barking and tremendous anxiety. So in 2010 I noticed another dog on a sale because of his age. When we got there you could hear his frantic barking from outside he was alone in the building As we had went there to meet them in the middle of the night. When he got home he peed anytime you got near him, was aggressive with food, terrified of touch or being held and wouldn't stop barking and circling. I feel so horrible for my dogs especially my youngest because of the conditions they lived in. I have never hit my dog but he still flinches sometimes like when we first got him. This only tells me what he went through was terribly traumatizing. Both of my dogs often have their tracheas collapse in them and I worry one day it will damage too much. Take a look on Facebook at all the stories people have that are similar. My dogs also have ear infections especially my youngest often. There is no way they need to produce this many dogs and there is no way they could be giving them the care they need. Don't support this kind of cruelty. Can you picture your dog sitting alone in a hot or cold room, barking constantly because they are sitting on their own poop and scared because no one is ever there for them. When I asked to see other dogs while I was there I was told that they were not on site which I now know is a lie. This is unnecessary and cruel to these dogs please do not support this. And as for a paid activist? Well that would be nice but instead I am 21 living with my parents and still going through college. Do the research before spreading ignorance. read more
