Well, that was me over 50 years ago except I never lost interest. I've been keeping fish and visiting fish stores around the country for my entire life. The people from World Of Fish who started RiverShore Aquariums have done a great job. Located not far from the original World of Fish, RiverShore has clean tanks, friendly and knowledgeable staff and they are super keyed in on planted tank setups. These days my tanks are relatively simple just to keep things easy, rocks and driftwood mostly, but I've been wanting to do a planted tank for a while. I know the basics but had some questions on substrate, plant selection and lighting for what is basically going to be a freshwater nanotank. The staff person who helped me was super knowledgeable, answered my questions and gave me some good advice for getting started. They had a good selection of different kinds of gravel as well as an assortment of driftwood and rocks. I liked that they have a table where you can do a little aquascaping trial and error before you make a final selection. The fish were high quality and appeared healthy. Most were smaller species suitable for planted tanks. I even discovered a new species that I had never heard of - anchor catfish. Super cool and perfect for my little nanotank. I know enough about fish and have been to enough fish stores to know which ones are really good. Rivershore is at the top of the list if you live in the Twin Cities, and especially if you're interested in giving planted tanks a try. Even if its plants aren't your thing or you are new to the hobby, I'd checkout Rivershore for your first aquarium.

Rivershore Aquariums is that friend: All the tanks are SO clean, and so perfectly lit, and all the fish are ready for their closeups. It's like an aquatic Parade of Homes in there -- 0% chance of the "Oh gosh, that fish looks so sick, should I mercy-buy it & set up a hospital tank & try to save it? Or should I not give this place my money?" experience. You should definitely give this place your money. They also sold me the sweetest, most industrious little pleco I've ever had in my life. I bought her as a bristlenose pleco, but she's secretly some kind of Turbo Pleco -- as in, my tank gets direct sunlight (can't be avoided), and it had the algae to match, but a week after I brought my new plec'ling home, I found myself asking a visitor, "Hey, you didn't clean the inside of the 55gal while you were here, did you?" (Spoiler: No, I do not have tank-cleaning houseguests. I just have a magic pleco.)

Mixed experience!!!…read more Trailer selection for watercraft is very limited and I would suggest looking elsewhere for trailers. I purchased my trailer from St. Boni and was very disappointed. The tie down shackles were poorly placed and the ratchet assembly was poorly designed. One bent so badly, after going over rough set of R/R tracks, I had to replace them. After only 2 times putting the trailer into the water, both tail light popped right out. Apparently, the manufacturer made corrections to the trailer and didn't have the correct grommets for the lights. The Service Department did get a better fitting grommet and replaced the old ones. Service Department... I don't know what is going on there. I have had issues with setting up appointments for service or lack luster communication. When bringing my watercraft in to be serviced and a fault code to be looked at, all I got was "service was complete and the fault was reset." I wasn't notified that my watercraft was ready for pickup until I called to inquire on the status. I was also only told that the fault was corrected and reset. Not what caused the issue. 6 months later, I had the same fault code and spoke with an individual from the Service Dept., they wanted the watercraft brought in to be looked at. I had scheduled the watercraft to be serviced later that week with time and date. When I arrived, there was no appointment scheduled and no one knew anything about my issue. This time I was told what was causing the fault code (unknowingly placed the tie down straps over the reverse gate had caused the fault code). Had I been told this was the issue last fall when I brought the watercrafts in for the fault code and winterizing; I would not have had to bring it back into the shop to be looked at again when taking them out for the first time of the year. Finance manager, for whatever reason, did not leave a voicemail with important details on my purchase or a message to call back regarding my purchase. That caused a headache when I showed up to sign for and pick up my watercraft. I got the shock that the did not go through and they were still working on the issue. Overall, all the issues were worked out in the end but had headaches getting there. On the brighter side... Sales Associate Makenna is AWESOME to work with. She listened to what you want and didn't try to push your decision on what to buy or what to add to your purchase. She is very knowledgeable and what she didn't know she was upfront with you but went out to get the right answer. Her and the store manager did whatever they could to make things right and to make sure I was taken care of. She is the ONLY reason I will go back to this store and the only reason for the 3 star review instead of a 1 star review!!! Give her a pay raise!!!

Still works well today. I bought a used snowmobile there in 2013 and got great advice from him. Bought a different one from Pat in 2015 (ready to move to electric start) and had him sell my previous one. The sale netted right around the same as what Pat had told me to expect back when I bought it through him. They give consistently good advice, treat customers fairly, and I'm always happy with their service.

I have an email from Jason and boatworks that says I can send a check in and keep my slip just last week; I did send a check in and of course they say they did not get it . Instead, they gave my slip away to someone else. They are upset i made a big deal about someone breaking into my boat. This is very clear this is payback. The kids caused damaged to my boat and they did nothing about it. Every year this happens they refuse to enforce the rules. We went out with some family members some of whom's first time playing golf. Obviously this would mean we would be slow but to combat this we played a scramble format and most the shots were a few whiffs then we'd pick up and move on. The part that frustrated me is there were other groups in front of us and since most the holes are par 3's we consistently had to wait for the greens to clear or else I would be hitting right into them. The ranger came by and not only told us we were playing too slow but also told us newer players should just pick up their balls and move on. I told him we had to wait to tee off every hole so how can we be the problem of pace of play to which he replied he was telling everyone. Why then take a shot at the new players saying they should just pickup? This is an executive course at an apples orchard, where should new people try to play, at Tory Burne or Prestwick? I would completely understand if we were the reason the place of play was slow, but after having to wait on the tee box every hole and then being told by the ranger our newer players should pick it up was really frustrating. If you're a new player do not come here. And if you're an experienced player there are such better full length courses in the immediate area anyway so I'd go somewhere else.
