I can't decide between a 1 star review or a 3 star...so I picked 2. In the past 30 days or so, my husband and I used Morton Cab three time. 1. I missed my metra train and needed to get into the city quickly. I called Morton cab because I knew that they service the Berwyn/Cicero area. I was told 10-15 minute wait. I ended up waiting 20 minutes. Once in the cab, the driver was super cool, quoted Elvis Costello, and kept me entertained the entire ride to the loop. Unfortunatelly, he chose not to take 290 (which didn't have traffic) and it took 40 minutes to get to work. 2. Husband had to get to the airport on an early Saturday morning. I called for a cab the night before and said that we needed a cab at 7am. The next day, 7am rolls by - no cab. The cab didn't arrive until 7:15. Husband was fuming and swore never to use Morton cab again. Fortunately, the cab driver managed to make up for the "lost time" and husband got to the airport on time. 3. I flew into Midway last night and was to land around 11:20pm. I called Morton the day before and asked them to be in the area around 11:45. My plane landed around 10:55 and I got my bags super-quick. I called the cab and Kim (at Morton Cab) said that the driver went to get gas and he'd be there 8-10 minutes. As usual, I ended up waiting 20 minutes for the driver to arrive. Next time, I'll just get one of the cabs already waiting. My driver had an STP sticker on the trunk, an almost-empty pack of marloboro cigarettes in the cup holder, and dreadfully needed new tires and a bit of fabreeze in the car. If you're in a hurry, call another cab company. If you have 20 minutes to wait, call Morton. The drivers are really nice and the prices are very fair. read more

First time using Morton. I called the day before, and schedule a cab for 8a.m. pick up for work. It got to 8:05 a.m. and no cab. I called and was told the cab had a flat, they would send another one. The second cab was 5 minutes away, 5 more minutes and again they switched cabs and he was still 5 minutes away. Fourth call and was told he was still 5 minutes away. I finally got a cab at 8:25 a.m. and he didn't have a clue as to how to get anywhere. WTH. I was late for work and it is only a 5 minute ride, when you get a cab on time. I called and left a complaint on their answering machine, which you have to listen to their spiel about how to get a job there, in all the glorious details. I left my message and asked to be called back. I'm still waiting for that call from them. This is the worst cab company. I''ll use Express next time to get around my local town. read more

From what I understand, this company was bought by Universal Taxi. They also have phone numbers of (708) 652-1606 and (800) 506-0696. What can I say? It's cab companies like this that make me think that just about anyone with a pulse can not only own, but operate a cab company in the suburbs. Seriously, how hard is it to pick people up at a set time, and take them to the airport? Apparently, extremely difficult for this crew. In a nutshell: I ordered a cab on a Tuesday for an early Wednesday morning pickup to go to the airport. I had an international flight, so I scheduled plenty of time to get there - good thing that I did because after waiting about 30 minutes for a no-show cab, I decided to call and check on the location of the cab. When I called, the operator said "Oh, you wanted that cab at 5:30? I have it down here for 8:30." When I indicated that I had explicitly made the reservation for 5:30 for the flight, I was met with indifference and then the kicker: "so, you still want me to send that cab?" Uh no, I actually want to get somewhere. So I ended up rushing off to the airport in my car and paying to park. Anyway, although the price might be right with this outfit, expect to wait a long time, if they show at all. I would recommend calling at least an hour ahead to confirm (like the Seinfeld episode: they can take a reservation, but they can't keep one), and even then, don't expect much. read more

They said they would pick me up in 20mins....didn't show up till an hour later!!!!! Seriously! Disappointed

May 30, 2018 at 6:45 a.m.: The driver of cab #250, license # 35609TX was blocking my street. I waited about 2 minutes before I blew my horn. The driver waved his hand out the window. I waited another 2 minutes. I told him I could not get by and I needed to get to work. He ignored me. I waited another minute and blew my horn again. He ignored me. Finally, a neighbor went over to his window and asked him to move his car. He moved the car over to the side then gave me the middle finger as I drove by. I called the number on the cab (708-484-2100) to report the behavior and after explaining to one person, I was then transferred to the "complaint" line. After a long recorded message, I was only able to talk about 10 seconds before they cut the call. This is very unprofessional. Is it because he was in an African American community that he thought it was okay to disrespect me? The company should really address this type of behavior. Another type of driver would not have responded simply by driving off as I did. This will be reported to the Chamber of Commerce for Cicero, Illinois as well. read more

My Truck is in the shop for repairs and I always see Morton taxi's cabs sitting over along the tracks on Oak Park and Stanley on Berwyn. I called for a taxi on Tuesday Janurary 7th at about 4:45 pm and reserved a taxi for pick up at 8:40am for Wednesday Jan. 8th 2014. Picking up around 39th street and going to the corner of Home and Stanley so I could have dropped my daughter off at school. On Wednesday at 8:30 am I received a call I thought it was the driver telling me he was early and in front of the house to my surprise it was dispatch telling me that they were going to be another 20 minutes. NOTHING like them waiting to the last minute to call me and tell me the taxi was not going to make it on time and then to give a 10 minute from pick up call. NOT VERY GOOD in my BOOK. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE . I would rather walk then to have a nasty dispatcher call me10 minutes beofre pick up rude ass HELL telling me I have no ride to get my daughter to school. This is not the 1st Time I have been burned by this company. BUT THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME! CALL ANOTHER COMPANY. read more

First of all I'd like to say all the drivers I have ever taken here were really cool. One European guy had absolutely no idea of the streets around Berwyn and Cicero but in the end we talked and he was cool. But the people who take your calls....omg. I ordered a cab at 11:30, the guy tells me I'm all set. 11:30 and no cab I call and they tell me they can't find the reservation it will take another 20min.....at that point I'm already late for work. Another 15 pass, and I call too see how far away the cab is. Thats when Stacy, I think that was her name, rudely interrupts me mid sentence and says "well wait just another 20 min ok".... As if it was my fault, so rude. they didn't tell me how far away they were just told me 20 more freaking minutes, probably because they hadn't sent another cab even after the 3rd call. I know they took my reservation BC the guy even finished my address (I've had their services before), but what got me was their unprofessional attitude, A) don't lie, so I can find alternative transportation so I won't be late and B) They need to check their attitude. read more
