They never picked us up. I had booked a fancy car weeks in advance to take us from our home to the airport to kick off our honeymoon. I scheduled the car for 2:15 pm. At 2:30 pm I was calling their dispatch line, nothing. No answer. I left a voicemail. I called again at 2:35 pm and 2:40 pm. At 2:45 pm I gave up hope that our nice car would arrive and I ordered an Uber. While in the Uber, en route to O'Hare I received a call back (finally) saying our car would be there to pick us up in 20 minutes. Nearly an hour AFTER the time I booked for. I am sorry but we had a flight to catch. The only thing they did successfully, was ruin our honeymoon kick off. The rest of the honeymoon was awesome. I will never use this service ever again and would not recommend it to anyone unless, being very late for a flight/appointment/meeting/shindig/etc. is acceptable for you. read more

I was excited that there was a company employing our vets and was eager to use them as my mode of transportation to and from the airport from now on. After a misunderstanding between the driver and my 1 year old daughter, the owner felt it necessary to call and yell at my wife calling her a racist, then hung up on her without listening to our account of the story. I was so disappointed with his actions that I refused the second part of my round trip service. I believe this company misrepresents who they are and treat their customers poorly. I would like to let the issue drop and forget I ever tried their business, but the owner keeps contacting me through email and now linked in. And if you read correctly I said my ride was discounted however I stated I would've rather paid full price for better service. And you are being dishonest by saying you specifically gave me s complimentary upgrade on the vehicle however Ad told us when he picked us up that he didn't have time to get the sedan after his first drop off before us so he just came straight to us or he would've been late. When it was time to book a ride to and from the airport for my first big family vacation in years, I decide to go with a limo to make it extra special for my kids. I came across this place a figured that even though they were a little more expensive, that it would be nice to support our local veterans. After a bit of a headache getting the initial order booked (rude email saying to email a different address when I emailed asking for a quote vs just forwarding the request), I decided to give it a shot anyway, and even decided to spring a little extra and get a Limo vs SUV. I live in the far north suburb, about 45 minutes from the airport, so I booked the car for 6:30am to catch our 9:15 am flight. Getting me there roughly 2 hours early seemed like a good idea, especially for an international flight. At about 6:30, I got a call from Parris asking if I heard from my driver, I said no and he said he was trying to reach him... Shortly after I got a call from the driver stating he got the wrong info and went to the airport first, but was on his way. I called Parris to let him know and he said, "oh, that's why he was avoiding my calls".... Not a great start. After a few back and forth calls where I wanted to cancel the ride and just drive myself, Parris offered me a refund for the trip to the airport, so we decided to wait it out and he finally arrived in an SUV (kids literally crying because they thought we were going to miss our flight and then because they were expecting a Limo) at about 7:15. We got to the airport a little after 8, and we did make our flight, but it went from a relaxed morning a much more rushed trip thru security and rushing across O'hare with 3 small children to the gate right as they started boarding. The driver was nice and all, but overall just a very stressful situation. Return trip was a little better. Our flight arrived about 20 minutes early, and when I called the driver he said he was on his way. About 30 minutes later he arrived. Had the flight not been early, the timing would have been fine. Not really their fault the flight was early, but they have the flight number so they can check and see if the flight is early or delayed... Another issue came after, when I waited for the refund. No refund ever came. So, when they sent me an email asking me to review them on Yelp, I asked about my refund but got the run around, with Parris eventually stating I would get the $40 extra fee for the limo refunded, and "maybe a free sedan ride sometime". He asked me when he could call me to discuss, which I responded to a few days later (I was out of town on business). He never did actually call me, so I just decided to give up on seeing the promised refund. Overall, the drivers are decent, but the company is poorly run and not coordinated. ***Update*** After posting this, I got a flurry of emails, and a call from Parris asking why I left a bad review, and saying that they did refund me the $40 one way SUV to Limo upcharge (which I guess I was not clear on, I did receive a $40 refund, just not the full 1 way trip I was promised). The whole reason I called was for a Limo, I have an SUV, it would have been cheaper and easier to drive to the airport myself and even park in the expensive short term parking garage.... I equate this to ordering pizza, waiting 2 hours for it arrive, opening the box to see a pizza without cheese, then being offered a $5 credit for the cheese. Without the cheese it is just bread with some sauce, and not really a pizza... Maybe a dumb analogy, but my point is, I ordered a Limo, and not only was it very late, stressing us all out that we would miss out flight, but it wasn't even a Limo... One or the other, I could possibly forgive, but both, and then it being poorly handled afterward to top it off.... I stand by my review, and still not happy with the way it was handled. I should not have finally gotten the partial refund only after having to ask for it again in response to them asking me for a positive review on Yelp... I never did get the call back when I asked for it. In all fairness, they did try call me prior to my giving them a time to call me, while I was out of town on business, but they did not call when I asked them to or try again any time after that. read more

My initial interaction with American Veteran was with a gentleman named Paris. Paris was polite and cordial as well as funny. Getting everything set up with him was a breeze. Although the time between setting things up and leaving for my trip was just a couple days, everything went off without a hitch. When setting everything up with Paris, our appointment was confirmed through Google calendar. This was especially nice because I was able to confirm both the date and time of our departure, as well as our arrival. This took all of the uncertainty out of setting up something like this over the phone. The morning of our departure we were contacted by our driver Brian. He again confirmed the time of our departure with us, and showed up exactly on time. Our experience was just as pleasant on the way back as well. American Veteran monitors the incoming flights to ensure that they are on time as scheduled. We were also contacted the night before our arrival to confirm the time we would be landing, who our driver would be, and our drivers information. Lucky for us we had the pleasure of being driven by Brian again. I would recommend American Veteran to anyone in need of a car service! There is one other thing that I would like to say about American Veteran. Had roundtrip arrangement. Pickup at Midway. Driver drove around terminal afew times before he caught up with us at suggested meeting point. Meeting outside baggage claim at the outside traffic lane, kinda a hassle. Crowded in vehicle for all 6 of us and baggage. Not enough room as advised. Vehicle not limo standard but clean. Driver friendly. He suggested changing return trip to earlier time to avoid airline lines. Advised would take care of reschedule. Opps , forgot that part. I really wanted to like this company as they are Vet owned. I purchased a Groupon and made a reservation-granted-for VERY early on a Saturday AM. I even spoke to the owner, Paris, who seemed very nice and accommodating. Fast forward to that Saturday. NO DRIVER! I called the company and got an answering machine, so we left the house in our own car. 5 minutes before we were pulling into the O'Hare lot we got a call from Paris, very apologetic promising a refund (he would take care of contacting Groupon) and to pay for our parking, telling us he had just hired a new driver, this hadn't happened in months, etc... Regardless, we barely made our flight in time! When we returned home I looked at my Groupon account-the voucher was still active! I had to cancel it myself! They were clueless about what had transpired. Also, I emailed my parking receipt, $131, to AVL. I have yet to hear from them. They didn't even acknowledge my email. I doubt I will ever see the $$. I called a limousine service in Richton Park and was given this number to American Veteran limousine because they had more business than they could handle. Thank you so much for recommending this company. I spoke with Parris who took my information and sent an email restating our conversation. This man is a gem to this company, I'll explain later. Ron was the driver, such a nice young man. He was there early even after me calling Parris and explaining what I saw on the TV with regards to the TSA situation at Ohare. This was a very short notice y'all and I live in the suburbs no where near Ohare. Both men were very professional throughout this whole process. Upon my return my flight got canceled and I had to text the company at 3:00 AM in the morning no problem. My pick-up time was scheduled for 6am that day which was only a few hrs away. I got a response within 3mins. Letting me know all was good. I didn't know at that time what time I would get back. I got a call from Parris early that morning advising no worries just give him a call or text and he would have the car rescheduled. I sent him a text advising I would get there at 10:15am. That didn't happen missed the connection and once again had to contact Parris who said no worries. I finally arrived at Ohare. Airline had too locate my bags while Ron the driver waited. This gentleman had to wait almost 45 min for to get to the car. It probably longer than that however, Ron exemplified nothing but professionalism. He spoke with a calm voice and never mentioned he had too wait or complained about it.
