Poor quality. Got pedicure and they didn't even put soap in the water. Was with my mom and she had to ask them to clean under her toenails! They don't cut cuticles! Mani they didn't soak or wash hands. Puts a new meaning to express. No lotions either!! I wish i could pay and "express" price!! Terrible. Cash only too. I usually go to T-nails. However a girlfriend and I wanted to go get our nails done and decided to give A-nails a try. I went in and was helped almost instantly. However, I showed a picture to the woman and asked for a gel manicure. She told me that it would be $60 for what I wanted in the picture. I did not get $60 worth. She filed my nails and instantly started painting them. I was maybe there 20 minutes. And my nails show that. I won't be returning anytime soon. read more

I was able to get a walk in appointment much to my surprise. I waited only 10 minutes and was directed to a pedicure station. I was not able to select my nail color and was given bunch of colored nail things even though I knew the name of my OPI color. I wanted a spa pedicure, I was not asked what I wanted I was given a super ridiculously rushed, as in 20 minute, pedicure. I told her I didn't want a razor, she whipped out the coarse cheese grater that hurt like hell. She proceeded to DIG under my nails for what ever reason until I had to tell her to stop. She proceeded to apply a base coat, one layer of polish and I was done. I have always had a base, two coats and a top coat. She clearly rushed me and I have an obvious blemish in the polish she absolutely had to have seen. I WILL NEVER be back. They were NOT busy at all as they took me in as a walk in. Went in asking for a pedicure and they stared at u and not friendly. Told me it was going to 45 minutes I agreed to the wait as the were finish up other customers. They turn on a fan to blown on me and not the ones that got the nails painted. Notice they do not pull out fresh tools. Then the pedi began. Nothing in the water but water. Never turned on the jets. Never scrubbed my feet or legs with any salt scrub. Cut my nails never ask if want then shorter. Did have sloppy job in trimming my cuticles. Scrubbed my feet with a cheese grater. Then the whole thang took lest than 10 minutes. Only two ladies working and trying to do 6 people at the same time. I am new to this city on a business trip and if this is what u have to offer I will make sure to have my pedi done prior to coming. Last this it was 35 dollars read more

Absolutely the worst pedicure I've gotten in my life. They finished the entire pedicure in 5 minutes (literally). Not friendly. They went back and fourth constantly between me and the other customers who came in after me. Absolutely the worst service I've ever experienced. Never come here. I don't know how customers can have such negative ratings. Your reviews are much different then mine. I enjoy the fact that I can have a walk in at my convenience and I don't have to beg for an appointment when I have an important event. The two ladies I also found to be quite pleasant too. I can't say anything about pedicure experiences, cause I've never had one. My feet are way too ticklish. I do get acrylic nails though and they are really pretty and stay on about a month. If I ever had an issue with a nail, I walk back in and they take care of it with no problems. I also don't feel like they don't rush on anything and they take time with me. They have no problems getting customers that I have seen and I don't feel that I have to wait for service too long. Absolutely the worst place I've been too. I asked for stiletto nails and got short square nails. On top of not getting the nails I wanted they were crooked and uneven. not very good customer service to newcomers and ridiculous prices. highly do NOT recommend. read more

Shockingly corrupt-highway robbery! They charged over $250 for two mani pedi's. I mistakenly heard them say it would cost $150, which I thought was high, but it cost over $250. Not only was the amount outrageous, but the tub water was cold, the chairs were unpadded without any massage feature, and there was no massage offered with either the mani or pedi. Just give your money away to a charity, you will feel better losing the cash and just paint your nails yourself. read more

So.. after sleeping on it - I've decided to post publicly about my most recent experience at A Nails in Plattsburgh.. right across from the mall. Last night, 4 of us decided to go get our nails done for Danielles birthday.. ( HAPPY BIRTHDAY BITCH!! ) After we were told that they had openings, we pulled in.. to start the experience - there was NO WHERE on the sidewalk that made getting a wheelchair onto it any easier so.. in return, I had to be lifted onto it by my friends just in order to get in.. after that, we ATTEMPTED to get me into the store itself.. which was impossible. I couldn't even get through the door. There were plants & water jugs lining the floor & the couch couldn't be moved back anymore ( apparently.. ) They were SO RUDE about it as well.. saying things like, " they couldn't take me cause I couldn't fit.. " ( no one did anything to help ) " we were now going to have to wait 45 MINUTES.. " Even went as low as suggesting we go somewhere else.. they ended up turning us away which evidently resulted in them losing 4 customers ( & whomever else has been affected negatively by this place ) & $260.00 .. I have NEVER been so embarrassed about the situation I can't help but be in then I was last night. We attempted to write reviews all over the internet when we got home but, couldn't really figure out how to do so.. so if anyone has any helpful hints they would like to share with us, it would be greatly appreciated. The reviews that we did end up finding were not the greatest to say the lease... 1.6 out of 5 ?? That sure is something I, as a business owner, would be proud of.. ( NOT! ). One of them was basically the same as the situation that I was put in.. I can only imagine how the customers that were getting their nails done felt.. cause if it were me.. I would have A) spoke up & B) probably would have ended up leaving, nails done or not, & went somewhere else.. to make a long story short, I WAS NOT & AM NOT happy about any of it.. thank you girls for doing anything you possibly could to make me feel better .. read more

If there was a -* that's what this filthy place would get for a grade. Run don't walk away from this disgusting salon. I went spur of the moment for a pedicure. Big mistake! I was the only person getting a pedicure initially, and the place filled up. The Asian lady soaked and started cutting my nails, when she finished mine she went to the next person without cleaning the clippers. I freaked knowing the person (persons) ahead of me had used these clippers. It was to late to do anything about it, the damage had been done. I chose white polish, she finished and I left. Within a week my nails were grey outlined in black. I removed the polish only to discover one nail was perfectly white. My feet were red, burning and peeling. I made an appointment with a podiatrist, only to find out I had athletes foot and two different kinds of fungi. I have NEVER in my life had any issues with my feet. I sure did now! My Dr. informed me unfortunately this was not uncommon, he saw this way too frequently. Well, that doesn't make it right. Why aren't these places checked more frequently by the health dept.. isn't there some way we can be assured the place is clean? Why isn't an autoclave mandatory? Please don't go to this place. Another thing the workers talk across the room to each other in Chinese and a TV with CNN is blaring. Nothing conducive to a nice experience. read more

NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY!! Terrible, terrible place. DO NOT GO HERE!! My niece (who is in a wheelchair) went here with her mother to get her nails done. They were extremely rude as soon as she showed up. They said she could not come in because they would have to move things around to accommodate her. He mother convinced them to let her in, but they continued to complain the whole time she was there. My niece went out of her way to make things easier for them by moving things herself (they had flower pots that were in her way) and leaning forward while they did her nails (because having them bend forward was too much for them). They even had another customer walk out because she felt uncomfortable with how the situation was handled. If I had it my way I would make sure this place went out of business. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would! First I got yelled at by both the male and female doing the nails because the water for the pedicure was overflowing and I refused to sit until they turned the water off. The water was cold and she was doing someone else's nails which is why she let the water overflow. My pedicure was beyond mediocre, it lasted less than 5 minutes and I could've done a better job at home! They didn't listen to ANYTHING I wanted and ended up doing the opposite of what I told them.. My nails fell off in less than a week. I will never go back! read more

I've been here three times and each time I feel like they are annoyed that I'm there. I take my mom to get here nails done very three weeks and am always disappointed on what they do. Almost no soak time with the pedi. Awful, harsh, quick massage (if you can even call it that), and they are super harsh with removing the skin on your heel. With the mani, I had to ask them to remove cuticles(mine are super bad, you guys) and to push my mom's down. I had to ask them to put lotion on and they don't put in on your arm. No soaking with the mani, either. No cuticle oil. No base coat. It us just the worst every time. And it's really expensive. The waxing is a joke. Just a hard pass on this place. read more

I went here once! Never again! I ask for acrylics and when finished it looked like they had applied chiclets to the end of my fingers. They do not clean up the cuticles and the entire shop is dirty. read more

my friend and i went here because all other salons were closed and there was only one lady there and she told us she could take all 3 of us, i got extremely basic nails that were just one color and the nails were all crooked and not shaped properly. for a basic nail poorly shaped and not well done it was 70 dollars when i got nails at a different salon before coming up here and they were full designs it was only 50. do not go here read more

I've been going to Tina and Tony for a couple years now. They know who I am and always ask about my sister and mom. I always get a great manicure (acrylics with gel polish) and I feel like they really care about what they do. More than once I've bumped my fingers against the UV machine for the gels and they immediately fix it without complaint. I adore this family. read more

Not a good experience. Very little soak time, abrupt and very little communication. I sat for about a half hour drying and the manicurist was not even checking on me. I think she was in the back eating her lunch. When she came back I said I should be okay, right. She said, oh ya. When I got home I noticed both my great toes were smudged badly. Terrible service! I was the only person in the salon at the beginning of my appointment and I felt like I was inconveniencing the employees by being there. The shape of my nails isn't what I asked for at all. The salon itself wasn't clean, there was dust EVERYWHERE. My overall experience was very disappointing.
