Worth it all! Project: Painting exterior of house, including wood trim, plus garage door. Cost: Competitive. I got quotes from 4 different companies; even with other companies' coupons, A New Leaf Painting AZ (ANLPAZ) was at the same spot. Social Aspect: Pleasure to deal with. I have a 1yr old, 38 week pregnant wife, and 2 small but loud dogs. Matt and company were as professional and accommodating as could be (and it worked). Kid slept, wife slept, dogs watched from their resting spots without barking (had to get them to smell Matt and Greg a couple times. Process: Meticulous. Matt and Greg diligently walked around the house with me to ensure correct color choice for each area and to verify what needed masking/taping. Very respectful. I had solar being installed, and they worked around the hassle of needing to mask twice due to solar company tearing off the masking for their work. Observations: The guy who came out and quoted (Matt) was there laying on paint with his crew (Greg). With that level of commitment, I trust 1) his quote, 2) his crew, and 3) his reputation amongst these reviews. On a side note, Greg was just as polite and a pleasure to deal with, with a solid work ethic. Results: Spot on. PRIOR to ANLPAZ coming out, this house had some pretty bad areas. Now, we absolutely love the appearance with zero complaints. There were places trim existed that I didn't think about (staggered roof). A few days before the start date he told us he would need to start a day later than the date on the contract, we said that was fine. I hired Matt with "A New Leaf Painting" to paint the exterior of my house. My daughter had used him a few years ago to paint the exterior of her house and she was happy with his work and how he was very professional. The house Matt painted for me I had purchased with the exterior looking pretty worn out and rough. The fascia was very dry with the paint peeling off and some wood lifting up. The main area looked faded and worn. I asked Matt to do some repairs to the different areas of wood and caulking as well as a good power wash prior to painting. Matt was very patient and diligent with getting all the prep work done. He also painted the house using semi- gloss paint which is much more time consuming and difficult to apply than eggshell or flat paint. Some painters will be sneaky and water down the semi-gloss with water. That breaks down the integrity of the paint. You can tell that Matt is upstanding and used good quality paint. The wood sucked up so much of the paint due to being so dry and needing a paint job since long before I ever bought the house. Matt applies enough coats of paint until there was finally a coat that stuck in the outside of the wood. It took Matt more days than he originally estimated, but he stuck with the job until he completed it. (Note: other people have pushed getting jobs for me done by starting and then giving me time here and there between other jobs.). Once Matt starts a job, he sticks with it until he is done. He moves his tools to the side and leaves his work areas neat at the end of the day. He cleaned up very well behind himself. The house looks great now. Matt gave me a great price for the work he did and I believe it could be easily a thousand below what other paint companies might have charged me. Matt did a wonderful job. Matt set aside 2 days to complete the job but the guys decided to stay a bit longer to complete the job on day one. They did a thorough job of taping everything off, as well as painting. They were efficient in the clean up, taking all of the trash with them. Matt inspected the job and touched up a couple of spots. The price was very fair.
