wanted front hedges trimmed - beautiful job. wanted neighbor's mulberry trimmed from hanging into my yard and away from my service wires. also wanted my crimson maple just trimmed away from my roof. Owner, Chris, did consult agreeing that maple was in good shape, just needed light trim. crew showed up (not with Chris). Scott trimmed front perfectly. Another young man proceeded to climb my maple. I looked out the window and noticed that he was, what I considered, OVERLY AGGRESSIVE in trimming! They were picking up branches to haul off and appeared to be packing up. I opened window and asked them about mulberry as that was the one I was most worried about. Didn't want it to bring wires down when snow flies. stated they didn't have on work order. I showed him my estimate and called owner - handed worker the phone. They then trimmed mulberry. Would have liked it trimmed the way I explained to Chris but as long as the wires are clear, I let it go. Only reason for 3 stars was punctuality and politeness of crew. I contacted 5 tree service companies for estimates on pruning the 2 very large silver maples hanging over our house and detached garage. We chose to go with A New Leaf because they were competitive and Chris Voss, the owner, took time to review our options, explained everything thoroughly, seemed to care greatly rather than business first and his estimate was very competitive. We booked a date 3-4 weeks out. Yesterday, a crew of 4 guys came to our house with a bucket truck, tractor, trailer. Randy was the foreman of the crew and was very knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. In 4-5 hours, they transformed our curb appeal, our yard, removed all of the branches hanging our our roof and pruned the entire trees perfectly. The tree's still look like trees, they look healthier and 10x better. We could not be more pleased. Lastly, these guys are VERY GOOD at what they do. Above our garage, they took out some huge limbs that would have fallen and crushed our garage, but the guys used ropes and their skills and experience to remove these branches. I was watching and just waiting for it to hit the garage, but it never did, it was pretty amazing. I am just a normal homeowner and have to say, if you need any tree service, A new Leaf tree service exceeded all of our expectations and they were so easy to work with, you will not be disappointed. These guys showed up this morning and in just over 2 hours, took down 3-50 ft. spruces, chipped them up, cleaned up ground roots and stumps and cleaned up all the mess. We had contacted 3 companies and not only was New Leaf the most reasonable, Chris was very knowledgeable as was his crew. Worked together like a well oiled machine. My 3 year old grandson was out watching them with his chain saw and safety glasses and they made him feel like one of the crew. Great experience, will definitely use again. Jan K. read more

This business provided an estimate for 6 hours of work to remove a tree. They arrived after 3pm and were pulling back into their address at 5:40pm. In the course of this less than 2.5 hours the crew destroyed a 55 x 4 foot garden bed, pulling out plants and breaking many others. When the owner was asked to discount the price, he stated he didn't see any damage and had already given us a discount. read more
