Those attorneys who handled my case left due to unacceptable behavior and mismanagement of clients. I spoke to those attorneys that left, and they told me some disturbing things. Those attorneys told me that my case was ignored, and they have fabricated audits against their own clients and are willing to testify against them when I file my complaint to the NC Bar. Those same attorneys were confused as to why they didn't even offer to give me a full refund. One of the attorneys told me "I knew this day would come," when I asked them to support my complaint against them. I strongly recommend staying away from Attorneys Hogan and Edwards. Even their named partner, Attorney Blue left the law office. I currently have a complaint against them with the NC Bar. If you look up disciplinary actions against them you will see Attorney Hogan on file for misconduct regarding mismanagement of client money. Be aware and seek counsel elsewhere. I post this in hopes to save others from the heart ache and time they are likely to experience. Most people hire an attorney at the lowest point in their lives to seek relief and help when they need it most. Handing over a large sum of money that may have taken you years to save up is not easy. When you do hand your life savings over to an attorney you expect their best effort. Mr. Edward's provides lip service and no follow through. He cant even keep his own house in order. Please don't make the same mistake I did. You deserve better, especially when you are at the worst place in your life seeking competent help. I hope this post helps others to avoid the stress, anxiety, and disappointment I experienced. They will be sued for legal malpractice as well. If you experienced something similar, get a hold of me and let's join up to sue them together. Update - Looks like Antwoine Edwards was disciplined by the NCBAR as well for deception, dishonesty, misrepresentation, and falsification. NCBAR 14G0857. So both partners are on the NCBAR radar for bad conduct.

And also the trust attorney has responded with a request showing that the trustee is now aware of illegalities he has done in regards to the estate and is now trying to work out a deal. Unfortunately, we will probably be headed to court to recover all the mishandled funds plus other items; no deals!! We, the other 4 beneficiaries, are in the process of submitting 4 1/2 years of spreadsheets outlining the entire money trail, one thing he never thought us capable of much to his surprise. And he still has to provide us several documents which we have the rights to or we can subpoena. Which only goes to show, when an estate is in question, do not quit if you know or believe you're in the right. And if in the Fayetteville NC area, Don Hudson is the man to turn to because he is not only very knowledgeable in trusts, estates and real estate, but is also very reasonable.
