I requested a quote online over the weekend and received a call Monday morning. John set me up with an appointment and ordered the windshield then and there. What was the most helpful that he called my insurer while I was on the phone with him. My insurer told me that the crack had to be larger than a silver dollar to cover replacement. They went on to say that Blue Chip was not a partner of their insurance company. I asked the insurer if that meant that they wouldn't cover the windshield if Blue Chip replaced it. John promptly jumped in and told me that the windshield would be covered 100%, but that the warranty would be covered by Blue Chip rather than my insurer. I appreciated the clarification. He told me that there would be zero out of pocket cost to me. The insurer told me that the repair would be covered and John did the rest (which was literally everything). Blue Chip replaced the windshield right in my driveway, again, at no cost to me. The service tech, Dan, was on-time and went out of his way to answer my questions, like calibration of the camera. Since my vehicle was newer, it had a camera for emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, which required calibration by an authorized tech when the windshield was replaced. Blue Chip took care of that as well. Dan showed me where the camera was mounted and why it needed to be calibrated with the windshield change. Dan was professional, competent, fast and friendly. In the end, I got a shiny new windshield installed by professionals at no cost to me. I have found my permanent glass company!

I went ahead and when it came time to pay the manager, explained that he actually gave me a discount and I did mention I was military so he gave me the military discount, but the price was lowered and it made me feel better about paying. I'm a firm believer in don't spend money where you're not appreciated, and I felt at first that the manager was being rude earlier, but after explaining the price to me, he mentioned that he had a long day, and he apologized if he came off as rude, but that wasn't his attention. He also said something extremely important when he mentioned he was having a long day, he said he's not trying to excuse anything, but he just wanted to tell me why I may have felt he was being rude. He just wanted to help me and that was the price but he went out of his way to help make things better. I apologize as well because I was having a terrible day too and I didn't want to pay that much and things worked out even better. I couldn't believe that he apologize and that was just amazing quality customer service.
