The store is very small, about the size of a London Drug's in Canada or a Walgreen's in the US. There is not a lot of variety of products as compared to North American stores where you may typically find 3-6 brand names of a particular product or product line. The prices, accounting for currency conversion, are on par with those at a 7-Eleven or other convenience store. The store hours are from 0700 to 2300, though 4 different times, I was able to enter after 2300 and purchase items. The staff was friendly on each visit. The location is perfect as it is 1 block from London Underground's Bayswater Station, 3 blocks from the Queensway Station,and 2 blocks from the Hilton and Hyde Park Inn & Suites which is great for tourists. I do like this area and will be visiting the store again on my next trip. I recommend this for those whom are new to the area to get an idea about prices and such.

A huge organic selection. A whole shelf of tea. Racks of dried fruits (I am not addicted to dried figs), nuts (cashews!) and I even found jars of sunflower butter here...which is surprisingly good and a good alternative to peanut butter (which they also have). Fantastic ethnic cooking section chock full of sauces, ingredients, grains, rices, beans and any element you probably need, spices, decent bakery with breads, rolls, pitas, etc. Eggs and dairy, beer, wine, a lot of coconut water, and a fresh produce section (outside) which is standard, but nice to have. Things you won't find: fresh meats or fish. Par for the course! The family that runs it is very friendly as well (always so polite!) and I always leave feeling quite good about supporting a local food shop that is not only convenient, but tucked away from the madness of the Old Street roundabout. For example, the packages of kitchen paper and toilet ("loo") rolls are in smaller quantities than the pallet-sized ones you generally find at full size shops. Large selection of pre-made "heat-and-eat" items, ranging from a full Indian meal with starters, mains and sides to whole roasted chickens. This Sainsbury's has a solid produce section with all the major items and the veggies all looked quite fresh. Sandwiches and salads and drinks and chips all up on display for a quick grab-and-go. I imagine this place gets quite busy during the lunch hours on work days.

The staff were lovely and would help with anything, I'm not used to this Sainsbury's as it was my first time coming but I know for sure I will be coming back. Staff actually have a clue what they are doing unlike some other Sainsbury branches. This shop has everything and I would shop here everyday if I could. I have medically diagnosed social anxiety and don't go out a lot, but you could approach staff slowly and speak to them as little as you want and they still would know exactly what you need. Overall if I could I would give this place infinity stars.
