If you are searching for a pen that uniquely fits to you, this is the place to check out. In this day and age of standardizations, one's own handwriting style is one of the few remaining uniquenesses that any person can claim for their own identity (to say "I made this one of a kind creation with my own hands"). Each letter can become a once in a lifetime art-work, to each word, to each page, then finally volumes of a one of a kind footprint of one's own thought to paper. And each pen, to a calligrapher, has its own uniqueness. I've searched so many stores online and in person, and this is the only one that I've been able to go to actually hold and try out different pens and nibs (and their different materials and builds), and actually talk from experience and get feedback from people face to face. It would take me a lifetime to actually try out all the different types of pens and inks here. But at least now, there is a place for me to go to explore the journey of finding a pen that would fit me and my writing journey. This truly is "A Pen Lovers Paradise". It doesn't matter if you're just asking a bunch of questions by email or you actually place an order. A very cool store for pen enthusiasts. Kind of a niche hobby I think but very cool that there is a store where you can buy some higher end things than an office store. Went on vacation to VA beach from Michigan and had to check this place out. Me and my family spent more than any of us expected. Even family members I didn't think would have any interest wanted to take a second trip before we go back home. Bought so much neat stuff there. Lots of fountain pen inks, good paper etc. Nothing in there that I saw was over the price of anyplace else which is great. You don't see that with many brick and mortar stores. Highly recommend. And there is a dog there named inky so that's a plus. read more

First time visiting this place. I have always loved stationary stuff as a child. I still love pens as a adult. We have so many places to shop for stationeries in Taiwan but I have not found one in the States. This place has a super cute dog that will greet you upon entrance, and the lady at the shop is so friendly and helpful as well. I love how this place offers super bedazzled fancy pens but they also have affordable options for people who simply loves unique pens for daily uses. They make really great gifts too! What a great store! Brick and mortar, locally-owned, well stocked, friendly and very helpful staff; what else could you ask for? If you have any interest in nice writing utensils, notebooks, stationary, etc. you need to check out this store. I recently have become interested in fountain pens. Rather than give money to the faceless online companies and have to wait for shipping, I decided to search for a store in my local area. Great little store. I went in looking for a specific pen but I had no idea what ink I wanted. Pam opened about 15 bottles of ink and let me take a little dip to test them until I found the perfect color. I also loved the selection and the varied price range, from expensive to affordable. I ordered 2 Pilot permanent marker pens in blue from A Pen Lovers Paradise. I use them for writing on the backs of photos, signing smart cards, etc. They are terrific - no skipping or smearing on slick surfaces and permanent. Didn't want to run around to more stores, so I searched on-line. Most all vendors sell them in large quantities (12 pens, 60 pens, several hundred pens...) - which I don't need. I found Pen Lovers Paradise, which does sell singles. They shipped immediately and even voluntarily reduced the stated shipping charge so it was reasonable for the quantity shipped. Everything was as represented. So - very grateful that they carry these, good service, highly recommend, will definitely use them again! read more
