Kimberly did a great job with both our fur babies! Our older puppy (Zoey) is very skittish and nervous and Kimberly was extremely patient with her and even invited my boyfriend to help keep Zoey calm and relaxed during her first groom. Our little boy (Barley) is much more outgoing, but was nervous about his first grooming experience and again Kimberly was wonderful with him - so much so that Barley didn't want to leave his new made friends! So great! Got me in last minute before vacation was so helpful and patient with my hyper dog getting her nails done

I took my mini schnauzer to a perfect groom oct 2nd. I dropped him off at 9am and was told he would be done at 1pm. When I called at 1pm they had stated he hadn't even been worked on yet. Shortly after I received a call (1:45) saying he was done.. When picking him up I paided Kim with a $100. bill she began to give me $20.'s . I asked for change so I could give her a tip. She gave me change.. I gave her a $5. Tip and put the rest in my wallet with out checking.. (Dumb me)After I left I dropped off my dog and picked up my daughter. When I pulled out the cash to give back the change to my boyfriend I only had $35. I don't carry cash around so I knew exactly what was supposed to be in my wallet .. I kept doing the math in my head.. Making sure I didn't make a mathematical mistake.. So here is my break down $40. Cut $5. Tip $100. Cash Change should have been $55. Not $35. When I called Kim to talk to her she was acussing me of lying.. I could barely get a word in.. Her voice was ellivated and very rude .. I'd rather eat the $20 dollars than ever deal with this shop.. The services are ok.. For what you pay.. My dog had a very short schnauzer cut, which I asked for.. But it was uneven.. And I don't believe he was bathed. I asked for his teeth to be brushed .. And they forgot.. I will never return .. Even if asked.. And I will never recommend them.. #2thumbs down!! read more

Awful experience. I waited to write this review because I wanted to be fair. To this day my dog still won't let anyone trim his nails. He use to be so good and easy to groom so we thought we try a place closer to home. Dumb idea. I'm more mad at myself than her. The whole time it didn't feel right the way she chased him and held him down to trim his nails. She doesn't know what she's doing. She didn't really take the time to meet our dog, it was aggressive and abrupt and our dog hated it. Worse thing is, I helped her even though it didn't feel right. It was our first time coming here. She came out to the lobby and started right away. Didn't take him in the back and didn't take the appropriate time. She tried to fit him in between clients so the door also kept opening and shutting causing more chaos and uneasiness. Super unprofessional, rude, and ignorant. read more

After calling around several places to try to make an appointment for haircut only vs full groom, Kimberly was the only one who agreed to allow us to come in for cut only (I bathed my dog at home). She did requested summer cut for our rescue senior cocker spaniel who has anxiety from another grooming experience at different place where she was put in cage until she dried, and anxiety from recent residential move. We have been taking our Samoyeds to A Perfect Groom for 20 years and now our Labradoodle. Kim has always done a spectacular job on the Samoyeds which take a tremendous amount of brushing. We now have a Labradoodle which she gives the most adorable hair cuts to. She does all of this at a very reasonable rate. Kim and Natasha are very skilled at their profession and treat our K-9 kids with love and gentle care. Kim and her staff took special care and attention when our K-9 Kids became senior and brought to our attention any lumps or anything else on their bodies that should not be there. We recently moved to Folsom and I took my dogs here for grooming because it was close to my home. I always watch my dogs' reaction to a new groomer. Kim was really good with them- not rushed or brusk with them. My one dog has long fur that I like to keep shorter so he stays cleaner. She trimmed him short- I would have preferred a little longer but his fur will grow! The cut was nice and smooth- hard to do. She was able to take them the day after I contacted her and she had them done in time. These latter are important but her way with the dogs was more important to me and she has an obvious love of animals. Her prices were very competative too. This place is a hidden gem! I came in here with my dog with out an appointment and Kim (The owner) came right to me and clipped my little boy's nails while he sat in my arms on the couch. I was so impressed with how good she was with him and how fast she was (not easy when doing such a good job). Also, the shop was clean, the dogs all looked happy, and she has WONDERFUL prices!!!! Can't say enough about this place it's super reasonably priced and same day appointments is so convenient for me. Not only that it's clean and my dogs have never had such good haircuts it's really a homie feel like your dropping your dogs off at your friends house so my dogs don't even freak out when we pull up. This place is definitely not fancy but they did a great job for a reasonable place. If you're looking for a doggy spa you should go somewhere else, this is more of a no nonsense groomer. They were very good with my long-hair German Shepherd, they even clipped the hair on her paws and in between her little claws/toes. read more

Kim gave Lacey her very first cut, and it was an extremely positive experience, which I understand is very important to a dog in the long run. I lived in Folsom at the time, but have since moved to Rocklin (two years ago). Kim is well worth the drive. She has been so loving and kind towards my dog, and I wouldn't take Lacey anywhere else. I've been taking my dogs to A Perfect Groom for 6 or 7 years. They do a great job, they're very friendly and always do their best to get us in (I'm usually a short-notice appt.) She seems to have a real connection with dogs and they like her. I like the consistency of having the same groomer over the years too. When my 19-year-old terrier died last year and I told them he wouldn't be coming in any more, it was nice to know they knew who he was and what he meant to us. read more
