This is only my 2nd time visiting (and 1st time at their new location), however I HIGHLY recommend this pet salon. My dogs had never been to a professional groomer prior to Sunflower Pet Salon, however they are very sensitive to the pet's needs and take their time to work with even the most anxious dogs. They give breaks when the pet needs it or gets overly stressed. That being said, be prepared to let your pet be there for a few hours, especially if you have a large dog like mine or your pet needs heavy deshedding. I don't mind because they're in good hands! They have very reasonable pricing (I've compared and worked in the animal care/pet industry previously), and make accommodations for specific needs. Miranda is super friendly and very caring toward the animals. Also, she is transparent about timing. But didn't know how to trim different breeds of terriers and ended up shaving the thighs and stomach of a terrier, causing severe razor burns, resulting in two trips to the vet, and still struggling with irritated skin. My cat who is a terror to do any of these things for at home, loves the team at The Sunflower Pet Salon and behaves. They were nice enough to provide me with photo evidence of him behaving with the blow dryer - apparently his favorite part. This salons Facebook page reflects their prices which I think are very reasonable. They get back to you very quickly and work with your schedule. I work a typical Monday - Friday, getting off at 5PM so a lot of the pet store salons didn't work with my schedule. It was made worse that most of them share a cat groomer who comes in on a random weekday at like 1PM. Finding this place was a stroke of luck! Miranda and her team are PHENOMENAL. I adopted my dog a few years ago and she was extremely reactive to getting her paws clipped/trimmed. I was so stressed because my dog wouldn't let me or anyone near her paws and felt like it was hopeless. I just got back from Sunflower Salon and I have to say...I am blown away and simply happy. I had to switch to another groomer because the last time she took care of my pup (Luffy), it was very disappointing. It felt more like she was ready to get it done and over with because my pup tends to get "chatty". She made me feel bad like it's his fault for being who he is. And sadly, he does tend to get other dogs all riled up but that's how he is (he is a very vocal pup who loves attention). Then I came across Miranda through Yelp and just gave it a shot.
