We don't normally get our long hair shiba inu groomed...but we messed up and didn't brush her several times after showers so she ended up with countless mats in her fur. It was so terrible as we tried to comb through it, so we gave up. Out of desperation I started looking for a groomer...worse case we were mentally prepared to shave her if we had no choice since mats are not good. Thank goodness for Jen as she got our dog fixed up without any shaving!! Not sure how but we are so happy with the results. Would definitely recommend and re-use them for future services! read more

I finally found a groomer I can stick to! For a couple of months I have been trying out several different groomers, not really wanting to stick to just one. From the start, Jen and Shane, as well as her assistant Marcy, have been so easy to talk to and work with. My dog, Mochi, loves them and is always happy to see them (even if he's not happy to see the grooming van because he knows what's about to happen). My dog hates baths and anything that goes along with it, but somehow he always comes out even happier than before and looking great as well! I highly recommend her and Marcy for grooming - they are both very nice, patient, and listen to exactly what you want your dog to look like. I especially love how she cleans up his paws - for some reason the fur here gets really long. It's great when you can find a groomer that both you and your dog love. read more

Shane at Doggy Details takes care omy 100 lb Lab/Doberman mix and he is AMAZING!! I tried 3 different mobile groomers before him and they either A) Cancelled repeatedly at the last minute, B) Never called me back, or C) Didnt work with large breed dogs. Shane is always on time or early, charges reasonable rates for mobile service, and is wonderful to work with. Monkey loves him because he is so kind and gentle. Jennifer was great! The service was superb for my first experience with a groomer. I rescued my dog 2 weeks before getting him groomed and he was almost unbearable to smell. She was able to meet at my dog sitter's house and groom him as my sitter took tons of adorable photos to send me. Unfortunately, I was stuck at work, but I got real-time updates from my sitter on which part of the process my dog was in grooming, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Jen also sent me a photo of her and my newly groomed dog at the end of the service, which I appreciate! The reason why my star rating is minus one, is because the communication experience felt really clunky using Yelp's Messaging feature. While that may be Yelp's fault, there wasn't a place with clear information about their services, pricing and process. You kinda just have to give it a try, ask direct questions to Jen, and read these reviews. Jen said they were updating the Pawfinity site so one day clients could message through there, but for now that's only for collecting information/submitting documents. (NOTE: you will not receive a copy of the details you sent so make sure they are accurate when you send them and perhaps take a screencap in case) Other than that, the experience was pretty smooth. We were able to get scheduled really quickly and Jen was really good about communicating with me the day of. I really appreciate Jen coming out to my dog sitters and being patient with both my dog and my sitter as it was both their first-time experiences with a mobile groomer. It was also my first time booking a groomer! I also liked how seamless the payment experience was. I was able to send her money digitally. The only thing I would have liked to see is an invoice breakdown of charges and a receipt of the service. Perhaps I could have emailed for one, but I think it should be standard for any type of transaction. The price was pretty reasonable. Thanks Jen for being so gentle with Maui and for taking him in when I couldn't be there in person! My sitter also LOVED being able to watch in awe! I was so impressed by how quickly I got a response to my inquiry. It was really easy to schedule an appointment and Shane kept me apprised of his arrival time. My two chihuahuas HATE baths & nail trims! I usually take them to a little local groomer, but a cluster of personal events prevented me from getting them in & their nails were beginning to cross! Contacted last night via Yelp for a quote - Jen responded back within 1hr, discussed (text) availability & booked an appt all done before bedtime (10p). The following day, I was walking my baby, I noticed a large well kept van driving around the corner. It was Jen driving with a big smile waiving hello us! We introduced ourselves, discussed my needs and off our baby went to the van for her spa-like service! It was approximately one hour later, and the door bell rang with our sweetie in Jen's hand! She looked like a puppy again! So cute!!! The hair cut was detailed all around, nails trimmed nicely, all clean and she smelled real good too! I used this groomer Jennifer for about 7 months during that time she had about 5 No Shows. Jennifer is very unreliable. Jennifer kept changing my schedule and I kept accommodating her and she still had problems showing up and arriving on time. My last appointment she confirmed before she left we always scheduled ahead and she was a No Show. She wouldn't return a call or text they never answer calls for having to screen calls. I tried to contact her for 3 months mostly to see if she was ok being she I'd generally a emotional mess, but she never returned my calls. I see her driving in her van around different neighborhoods so I see she is fine. I found this to be so unprofessional and uncaring I'm rather glad that she no longer grooms my dog. Jennifer should not be allowed to work on pets. I saw her today in San Francisco driving very fast and reckless in that old Van that she uses to groom. I always worried about fumes coming into the van during the grooming. Her behavior is very disturbing. Replying to your response I would be more and happy to copy paste all of our text messages with your number and time stamp if you need a memory jog Jennifer. I had used Doggie Details due to a short notice cancellation with my previous petsitter. I spoke to Jen and she was very nice over the phone so she scheduled an in person meet with my dog Moka. When I brought Moka to Jen's location it made me comfortable that there was a doggie gate at the entrance. I was happy to hear that Moka will not be kept in a crate but free to roam around the space where she is most comfortable. Her husband, who is also a groomer sent me updates and photos of Moka on her 1st night there without me. They are a lovely couple who knows how to handle animals and keep them happy. Doggy details is fantastic, and fairly priced. Jennifer somehow calmed by super anxious, skittish little 4 year old maltipoo. I walked by the van and saw her lying comfortably as Jennifer worked her matted hair. I've NEVER seen her so comfortable with anyone before. My dog came back with zero nicks, and perfectly groomed. When we took her to brick and mortar places, she would always get nicked somewhere. The nails are tough to cut, but I let them know I'd prefer to leave them if the dog is truly uncomfortable.
