Great variety of classy clothes, helpful staff ----- ----- July, 2022 Visit Our daughter discovered the band Greta Van Fleet early summer, 2022, and quickly found that they would be playing in Peoria, IL, and she recommended a road trip. We had a great time, thanks in part to A Perfect Pear, in Peoria Heights. We visited a nearby jeweler and then decided to walk around the neighborhood's many stores and restaurants. It's apparent that many/most of the Peoria Heights stores and restaurants are closed on Mondays, surely because they are open on Sundays. Normally A Perfect Pear is also closed, but they are available to be open by appointment, and a prior guest with an appointment departed just as we walked past. We knocked and the lady (apologies for being forgetful with your name... sorry) working let us in to look around. I love this place! It is ofcrouse expensive, but it sells designer clothes so that's expected. They are in a great little location that offers restaurants and other stores so it's nice to stop in when I get a chance. I bought some cute black flats on sale after Thanksgiving last year and am very pleased. Great quality and unique. They also have great sales here which makes me even more happy!! read more

Terrible. Each time I have visited this boutique I felt that the workers were extremely rude and unwelcoming. The few times that I visited this boutique I was with friends and family. Not that it should matter, but we were all presentable and were very interested in the clothing they had. The workers looked us up and down, did not acknowledge our presence, however followed us around the store the entire time. I've been to all of the surrounding boutiques in this area and highly recommend visiting them instead of Perfect Pear. I am a big supporter of small businesses, however the pretentiousness possessed by the workers makes it non deserving of respectable people's business. read more

I've been there about three times. The first couple were with my mom, who dresses like you'd expect someone who'd had a bright pink mohawk in high school would later in life. I have bright purple hair and facial piercings, and I dress mostly in black. It's the type of store I would buy a few things from, however. My mom and I were always watched closely enough to make us uncomfortable. Then, one day, I went out with two friends for coffee and we shopped around. One friend had bright pink hair, the other was black, sporting an NRA hat. I came in the store expecting to leave with another shopping bag or maybe even two. I know I don't look rich really, but I don't think anyone would assume I'm not a paying costumer. The only way to describe how we were welcomed into the store is hostilely. The salesclerk clearly WANTED us to feel uncomfortable enough to leave. I tried to walk away from her to see if she really would follow us closely behind, barely allowing us to breathe in her precious store. And she did follow us so closely. So we left. It's bothered us ever since. Was she racist? Was she worried by my piercings and our bright hair? Regardless, it was discrimination. Sure, most people shopping here don't have to worry about this but ask yourself, does a place like this deserve your money? read more

Like the above reviewer, I wanted to like Perfect Pear. While it's true that I have found great deals here (50% or more off Eva Franco, Toms, Tory Burch, Juicy... all in the basement), every time I've visited the store I've felt a distinct snootiness from the clerks. I'm willing to and have spent $$$ on a high quality designer label item, I certainly won't be inclined to do so here. So, on the whole, I'll probably return infrequently but won't expect friendly service. For that, I'd suggest going up the street to Azura. Similar labels (if fewer discounted items) but genuinely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable clerks. read more
