From the day she came in, to the present day, her turn around has been outstanding!! She came in weighing 89 lbs, lethargic, bed ridden, had to be fed and was anti social. In 3 months, she has increased her weight by 10 lbs, eating by herself, does social activities, and is happy and has gotten a second chance at life. From the doctors, nurses, social worker, CNA's and other medical care personnel this facilities has been A+. All personnel is loving, caring and very professional. Couldn't be be happier with her care. Thank you and God bless everyone at Ponce Plaza. Congratulations Ponce Plaza for another 5 Star rating!!! The love and dedication each staff member has for the residents (and our loved ones) is beyond professional. Thank you for all that you do!!! Ponce is just the best place in Miami!! I've attached photos of the 5 star review form the State, Halloween Phots and Thanksgiving Dinner for 2017! The love and care you give your residents and families is so very much appreciated!! Thank you!

I feel sorry for those poor elderly individuals that are suffering without a voice, this place should be CLOSED. . .

My experience at Unity Rehabilitation Center was deeply disturbing and honestly traumatic…read more I went there to recover and instead left feeling violated, disrespected, and completely unsupported. I reported what happened to me, and the facility conducted an internal investigation--but they claimed there was "no evidence." From my perspective, it felt like my concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously. I even reached out to outside agencies like DCF because I felt like nobody inside the facility was willing to truly help or protect me. Instead of being supported, I felt pushed out and silenced. On top of that, the environment itself was not what I expected from a healthcare facility. Cleanliness was an issue, and several staff members came across as unprofessional and dismissive. The administration, in my experience, did not handle serious concerns with the care and urgency they should have. No patient should ever feel unsafe, ignored, or treated like their voice doesn't matter. I'm sharing this because people deserve to know what they might be walking into. I truly hope this facility makes changes--because what I experienced should never happen to anyone.

As with healthcare anywhere there are staffing challenges, so family involvement is important. However, when requests are made politely the staff make every effort to address in a kind and caring way. Management has also been very responsive and committed to the care of residents. Alex Morpha the director is very dedicated to resident care and does the best he can to address issues in an often challenging environment. Keep up the good work Unity!

She promised me her assistant would get back to me and she never did. My surgery is Sept 8th and I'm stuck having to find a new nurse and come our of pocket yet again. I was hesitant about coming here at first for a few reasons…read more.. #1- I did not know these people so how could I even place my life in their hands? #2- I felt it would be like an old people's home where nurses treat you like sh** So, I originally had booked for 2 days because I didn't want to stay with random people AND Dr. Miami required you to have a caregiver for at least two days... Heres how my stay went..My flight arrived at 1am and I went to a pharmacy out in FL to get my medication that was considered a controlled substance (since the pharmacist in my state would not fill it). I went to 3 pharmacies and nobody had the pain medicine in stock...I was tired and had to be up by 5am for my surgery. I arrived to Mary's home (Elite Nursing). The nurse open the door for me even though it was about 2:30am by this point. She was so nice and offered to get my pain medicine for me while I was in surgery. She paid out of her pocket for these medications and so I reimbursed her. (HOW FREAKING NICE). When I got out of surgery I was in soo much pain, but they put me to bed and were very attentive to me. By the second day I asked Mary(the owner) if I could extend my stay..she said yes. :) Now let me explain why I extended it.. #1. I could barely move and was in pain, so my ass was deff not walking out to go to a hotel. #2. The food was SOOOOOO BOMB!! I was expecting like jail food or like school cafeteria food. Mary makes a soup every week and it is sooooo bomb! Their menu is flexible and they have a variety of food. BETTER than a 5star hotel and I'm not just saying that. THIS IS FACTS! #3. PRICING. I believe it was like $200 per night... now, THATS A DEAL! you get laundry, TV (CABLE), NETFLIX(I think lol), GOOD FOOD, comfy bed, AND SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING! #4. EVERY nurse was SUPPER friendly. I had everyone cellphone number incase I didn't want to get up, I could just text them for help :) #5. I literally felt at home chilling with my cousins lol. The other girls that went through surgery are very supportive and its nice to see other peoples progress to know what to expect in the days coming. Literally, the girls were supper sweet. One my second night a few of the girls and staff watched netflix on the couch which I felt was soo down to earth and nice of the nurse to be a friend with us. The nurses are there for you. They do not judge or look at you in anyway. They give you advice even if its not what you want to hear. At the end of the day they treat you as an adult and simple as that. I say this because some girls ask for advice, but then go do the opposite. You are welcome to come and go out the house as you please (as long as its within reasonable hours). Some girl I met would go shopping and enjoyed her time. Me I just wanted to sleep and eat all day lol. Overall staff is supper cool. I totally crave the food everyday. Oh, I do want to say... #1. At my post op visit I met another women that had surgery and opted to get a hotel and hire a private nurse and then have her husband watch her the remaining days....She told me she regretted it because as soon as the nurse left..her husband was clueless as how to help. Also, they paid like $165 per night for a hotel + food, she said it was almost $300 a day. #2. I was able to extend my stay ONLY because Dr. Miami had gone on vacation the day after my surgery so Mary had availability. Normally, she does not. Everyday someone new joins the house but, since no surgeries were being done she had space for me to stay longer (I ended up staying 7 days). #3. Elite nursing is a home specifically and ONLY being used for patients. Its in a great neighborhood and very private. Its also very beautiful :) Thanks everyone @ Elite Nursing!!! I miss my chicken panini's lol
