I've had a ton of awful experiences as do most women when it comes to gynecology visits. I have to say that every person in that office was so so kind and attentive. The check in was super quick and painless and the staff in the front were so nice. The nursing staff in the back are supportive and kind as well. I do not recommend this place unless it is your only option for a Gyno. This place is extremely dirty and disgusting now. The floors in the rooms are gross, with heavy buildup of dark dirt along the baseboards, and there's thick dust on top of the paper towel holders. Today, I even saw a dead black bug on the rolling stainless-steel table that was in the room! They use metal speculums that are washed and reused repeatedly, which is a huge concern given how nasty this location is. On top of that, the restrooms are poorly cleaned and smell dirty. This place needs to be inspected and fined for the unclean practices of a medical facility. read more

Savannah is really great but the office is mediocre at best. 100% of the time I call, I don't get anyone but a long answering machine. Half the time they don't call back either. Not hard to get an appointment and check in is easy typically. You should fill out all the forms before you get there or it's a long form to fill. Wait typically is not much to get in a room, but I've waited 30 minutes before to see someone. I was very disappointed recently, when I had a vaginal ultrasound and it was abnormal yet no one called to discuss, and when I called 10 days later to ask for a conversation about it, a doctor told me she would call me and I got charged like a telehealth visit. So don't expect anyone to go over results with you unless you're willing to pay $90 in my case (they charged the insurance $300), at least it was a visit I didn't have to drive to. So customer service is not great and maybe even over charging. Not sure I trust them anymore read more

Terrible experience. Took off work & paid $30 just to have the definition of a cyst read to me. Workers are cold and doctor was condescending. Felt like I was just another name to check off for them. Now I am left waiting for my cyst to flare up again and another hospital bill in the future I will never be coming back here. Hopefully I can spare some of yall. read more

Nothing against the Seminole place for women they are great but the Clearwater location is horrible I went my whole pregnancy everything went smooth till about 28 weeks pregnant I had to get my rhogam shot and my blood pressure started going up since I had it and they questioned me of what I was doing differently lol. Then around 37 weeks she sends me to be induced cause my blood pressure was high.. which keep in mind while in the hospital having my baby I had a completely normal HEALTHY blood pressure. Later I had my follow ups because of high blood pressure tell me two days after I had my baby the nurse takes my blood pressure and tells me it's 188 OVER 90. I'm so sorry me and my fiancé looked at each other and at that point I had it with that place. I'm never rude and I never leave reviews but these nurses do not know what they are doing and I stopped showing up to my appointments and my blood pressure is NORMAL at home. Idk but this was such a negative experience for me. read more

I changed my name for this because of HIPPA reasons . I was pregnant with my first child and came to a place for women , they seemed very caring at first but towards the end it was TERRIBLE. First off I went late and they scheduled my induction for 10 days past due date, that is way too long ! That morning they called me to go in an 2 hours early for my induction because " the doctor was already there delivering a child and wanted to leave ." UNPROFESSIONAL. When there, she quickly induced me and left letting me know one of the other female doctors will be showing up. 26 hours in labor and my doctor never came because she had "health reasons and there was COVID going on. Mind you there are 4 female doctors at the practice , no one else came ! ( If you have a pre existing condition you know about and there is a pandemic , why are you still the doctor on call knowing you won't be in? Why wasn't another doctor taking her place ? ) I was a FRISR TIME MOTHER GIVING BIRTH DURING A PANDEMIC, and had to be delivered by a MALE DOCTOR who I never met . Why go to a "place for women" with women doctors for not ONE to show up and have a male resident doctor deliver me ? I had to have a c section because I had complications, I was scared , nervous and alone with out my doctors I saw for months. I had to be in the hospital for over 3 days and STILL NO ONE from my OB came to see me except the morning I was discharged for 5 minutes. To make it better on my 6 week tell- visit ( because of pandemic) said doctor with the condition gave me her sob story. Saying she didn't want to put "any more stress on the other doctors to take her on calls." WOW! Beyond unprofessional, I am the patient , the health that should be talked about is the patients , THATS IT! To guilt me to feel bad for you while not one docotor for over 3 days came to see me is despicable!!! DO NOT GO HERE , horror stories , unless you want be left and not cared about . read more

ANOTHER UPDATE: Bumped down to 3 stars. I've tried calling 4 different times on different days and various times throughout the day to schedule a very urgent appointment. I finally got someone to answer the phone the fourth try and 5 minutes before closing. This is getting really annoying, especially since no one ever returns my calls and I leave a voicemail each time. I am having serious complications with the IUD. I need it removed as soon as possible as the pain is keeping me up at night and causing me to deal with extreme unnecessary pain that literally has me in tears a few times a week. I made this clear and cannot get an appointment for another month apparently. I love Dr. Lipton, but this is getting ridiculous and I may have to switch doctors. Either they need to stop accepting new patients or they need to hire more staff. Expect to wait a month or more for an appointment regardless of how urgent your situation is. read more

A Place for Women is an amazing practice. As a woman it can be difficult to find an OBGYN that you feel comfortable with. I have been going to this practice since I first moved to Clearwater almost 7 years ago. All the doctors and staff are wonderful and truly care for their patients. When I was pregnant with my daughter I got to know each doctor. I always felt like they had my best interests in mind while under their care. Even while I was in the hospital with Preeclampsia before giving birth, who ever was on duty that day would always come to talk to me and see how I was doing and give me any updates. Even a lot of the nursing staff at the hospital would tell me that A Place for Women was their go to place for their own gyno needs. I definitely recommend them! read more

If only I could keep this short and sweet. This office has arbitrary rules even if you follow them they will harass you about. You have no freedom to your healthcare rights. They also do not follow ADA guidelines and ask for person health information that you are not obliged to give it. Even if you are not obliged to they will try to pull that information out of you. They also allow doctors unauthorized to be in your room to enter. Would not recommend this place to anyone. It is NOT A SAFE SPACE. read more

This office sees patients as dollar signs, and is incredibly disorganized. They're secretive when it comes to billing and coding, and provide poor customer service. Around the end of August, I initially scheduled a wellness exam with this office. I was nervous about being there from the time I walked in, which was further compounded by the initial nurse asking me the exact same questions I had just answered on paper, then inputting my date of birth incorrectly, which I didn't find out until later on.  I was a bit confused that no nurse had instructed me to go use the restroom and leave a sample because part of a wellness exam involves this in my experience at other offices in a different state.  The Dr. I saw for my exam was very nice (Salter) and addressed my uneasiness. I told her I was there for a wellness exam which I had not done in about 5 years, and she recommended a test that I was unaware existed. It made sense so I agreed. My insurance covered this test.  At the end of the exam, I asked about the urine sample that I was never instructed to do at the beginning of the visit and she said "you can do that after" and asked if I had any concerns. I did, and she addressed them.  The exam was over, and as I was leaving the room, I had no idea where to go and there was no one to direct me. Still nervous, and a new patient, I tried asking someone where I needed to go (for the restroom) and was shown where it was. After that, I exited the restroom and STILL had no idea where to go, and there was no one around to ask. Very disorganized.  I finally made it to the checkout where I had to ask what the cost was for my exam and the lady who I spoke with said "we don't know until we bill your insurance". I know my insurance covers wellness exams at 100%, so to me, that was the only answer I needed.  I was told by the Dr to schedule a follow up ultrasound, which I did before leaving. I went in for that a few weeks later with no issues, and the ultrasound was billed within 2 weeks and settled. I was scheduled for another follow up to discuss the ultrasound because there were not 2 appointments on the same day. I came back to discuss the ultrasound and discussed a prescription that would be called into my pharmacy. When I went to pick it up, it was not the prescription that was discussed, and instead a prescription that was twice the cost and it was a drug with a voluntary recall. I called the office back the next day to find out why, and I was not given a clear answer, but a prescription that was closer to the discussion was called in to replace the recalled drug.  About 1.5 months later, I was billed for the follow up visit and saw that I was now being billed an additional charge for my very first wellness visit. I verified with my insurance that the wellness visit was 100% covered, and it was, but the office had tacked on an additional code for discussing my concern. I contacted the office and was told by billing that it was "because I discussed a problem" at my wellness visit.  This is a very poor business practice of tacking on hidden charges - months out. I called the office to speak with the office manager, who didn't return my call from the message I left.  I contacted the office through their message application and an associate told me "that's how all offices do it" (No they absolutely do not!) and she gave me the office manager's direct number. A few days later, I called back and spoke to the office manager who was unprofessional, and I am now awaiting a call back, which I don't expect to receive. This is all indicative of this office just trying to squeeze every charge possible out of patients rather than actually caring for health and well-being. Extra charges to answer a question of "do you have any concerns" seems like quite a scam. I've been to other physicians over the years, and all of the services and possible charges are discussed up front before any additional fees are billed. read more

I have had appointments with 3 different practitioners at this practice, all of them were wonderful. I was given enough information to make an informed decision about my health. The Con is that I have 4 or 5 Drs since I've been here, but they've all been really good. 2 left to be Hospitalists and since then I've kinda floated around. The last 2 I have had were Lipton & Cuadros, and they are both awesome. Dr. Lipton has the best bedside manner & I just had a procedure done by Dr. Cuadros, which went well & I feel amazing. Don't waste your time coming here. You'll have to wait an hour past your appt time to even be seen and when they do see you, they'll spend 5 mins with you. Dr Monard didn't even wash her hands or put on gloves and then put her hands inside me. I MEAN CMON HOW UNSANITARY!?!! She said my ovaries were fine without even checking them. If you do happen to see anyone, Sharon Welsh was great for a UTI appointment, but other than that please save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. read more

I recently had my second child with this office, and I can't express my gratitude enough! I unfortunately suffered a miscarriage when I first became a patient and the love and compassion both Dr. Salter and Dr. Lipton poured out to me was amazing. I then got pregnant with my son and had one of the best pregnancies and deliveries with these amazing doctors. We then relocated an hour north of the practice and upon conceiving again, I tried a OB/GYN 5 mins from my house, but I missed the doctors and staff at A Place For Women . I made the drive an hour one way for my pregnancy and Dr. Lipton delivered my healthy and happy little girl and I couldn't have asked for a better Dr. with more love and compassion for her job. 100% recommend this office for regular women care and most certainly pregnancy! read more

I had an appointment on Wednesday. Dr. Cuadros said she would call in the prescription I needed to my pharmacy. It never got called in. Thursday, I call to inquire. Astonished that someone answered the phone (usually have to leave a message) I told the receptionist what happened. She transferred me to Dr. Cuadros medical assistant. No surprise, I had to leave a message. No call back. No prescription. Friday morning I call and leave a message. No call back. Its now 2pm. I figure I better call again as it's the weekend coming up and I need this prescription. Guess what. They closed at 1. NO PERSCRIPTION for me. I am so angry right now. I don't usually leave bad reviews. But seriously I am done with this "Place for Women" Who does that to their patients?!?!?!?!? I don't even know where to go now. Finding a competent Dr. office in this area seems impossible. For the record. I do like both Dr's I have seen. Dr. Lipton and Dr. Cuadros. But this lack of attention to the patient after the appointment is just not acceptable. read more

By far THE WORST medical staff I have EVER encountered. I transferred to them when I moved to FL a year ago and chose them because they were the only one who could get me in for an annual check up within a couple of months (I wonder why...). My first appointment was a complete disaster starting with the utterly rude and miserable receptionist. Her snippy attitude and clear lack of customer service skills were a "lovely" first impression to a new medical facility. They were having issues with their wifi so they did not receive my medical records from my previous doctor in NY. In a frustrated and non helpful way the receptionist told me I would have to reschedule my appointment because they didn't receive my records. I am an OR nurse who works full time usually 10-12 hour days with no set schedule, my day ends whenever surgery does. So it is difficult for me to get to appointments and I had taken the day off to go to this one. After explaining that and pleading for them to see me for 30 min they finally let me see the doctor but wouldn't do an exam or physical because they didn't have my records, which was their fault due to their internet issues. When I was in with the doctor, not getting my exam or Pap smear, I asked if she could refill two of my medications for me because I couldn't get in to see my PCP for another two months (it's difficult to get new patient appointments in Florida). One of the medications is for GERD and the other insomnia, neither one being narcotic and are very commonly prescribed. I even had both of the pill bottles with me with all of my information and dates on them so I could prove I was being prescribed them From my Dr in NY. She then continued to tell me she didn't feel comfortable refilling the insomnia medication (trazodone) because it "is narcotic".....I should've gotten up and walked out right then because my DOCTOR didn't know enough about a medication and whether it was narcotic or not!!!! After I told her it wasn't controlled she said "oh...are you sure?" I said yes...I've worked in healthcare for years...I'm assuming you have too?! She said nothing and refilled my scripts. All of that happened a year ago. I recently discovered that I am pregnant (yay!). Obviously I would NEVER want to receive prenatal care from a facility who clearly doesnt know it's a** from its elbow. So I found a new OB that my pregnant coworkers referred me to and have a new patient appt with them in two weeks. I looked up A Place For Womens hours on their website because I needed to come in and sign a records release form to get everything sent to my new doctor (they finally had my records from ny and the one time shitshow appt a year ago that I mentioned above). Their website says that they are open until 1pm on Fridays and I was lucky enough to get out of my surgery cases early that day. I got to A Place for Women at 12:45pm, 15 minutes before they are supposed to close per their website, and the doors were locked. I see staff behind the reception desk so I stand there for a minute and someone finally comes over to the door and tells me they're closed . I said but your website says 1pm on Fridays? She just repeated that they close at 12pm. I felt like I was having deja vu explaining to her that my work schedule is crazy and I'm also in healthcare I just need to sign a records release and we Will never have to see each other ever again (thank god!). A supervisor then came out and told me rudely that I need to come back Monday at 8am to fill out the form, completely disregarding what I said before about my work hours. I told her that I was pregnant and need to get those records over to my new OB for my upcoming appt and she just looked at me and said I can't help you And walked away. LADIES! If you are considering this facility for your OBGYN needs please save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere! I know a healthcare shit show when I see one from working as a nurse for so many years...and take my advice when I say this...RUN, don't walk, from A Place For Women! If 0 out of 5 stars was an option I'd give them a -10. read more

I waited 2 weeks to go there with a bladder infection and the Dr Beth basically dismissed me and said that I should have went to a Urologist. They also said I didn't have an infection. So I went to DrModh a wonderful Urologist on the following Monday. And they called me in a prescription because I did have an infection. So they either have faulty equipment or they don't know what they are doing. I will never go back there again. A place for women is 2nd rate. I would seek elsewhere or at least any other Dr but the one I saw. They also hand you a computer that asks you a million questions and then when you get in the waiting room, they ask you that crap again. That's rediculus in this age of technology. read more

My daughter is a patient there -her due date is Nov 13 - and in the last 2 weeks - the office has called to cancel her appointments - no doctor has seen her since she has lost her plug. What kind of office does this and tells her that no doctor can see her? This is very sad as she's two weeks closer to her due date! She should be going every week to get checked up and make sure she's not ready to have the baby - but if the doctors keep cancelling what else is she to do? read more

Dr Lipton is AMAZING. She really listens and I feel that she understands me and really cares. She explained everything in a way that I understood. Dr. Lipton is the most empathetic and nicest doctor I have ever encountered. I have never waited longer than 5 minutes to see her. I had surgery with her recently and it went beautifully. Dr. Lipton checked on me frequently and gave me so much helpful information. I felt very prepared both before and after. When I was in the hospital multiple nurses told me she is their favorite doctor to work with as well. I can't recommend her enough. Hands down; best doctor ever. I trust her completely. read more

I was so nervous looking for a place to take care of me and newly pregnant belly. I was here once before choosing to use them for my prenatal care and never had a bad experience. The only reason I was hesitant was because I was browsing the reviews and only looking at the negative ones, of course. It's human nature. I decided to stick with them and so far I'm extremely happy about my decision! They also deliver at Morton plant which is an amazing hospital! So far I have been treated by dr. Salter and by dr cuadros. Both have very different personalities but both also are very patient centered and don't rush you! Dr. Cuadros asked me several times if I had any other questions and was so patient. They also have a portal which you can message the docs on and they are super quick to respond! I needed blood work and the doctor wrote the wrong code for the labs so they ended up being ran as pediatric and the labs were useless. I ended up getting stuck with the 100 dollar bill for the labs and no useable results.The doctor doesn't seem to give two craps about her patients, just her pay check. The office staff is horrible. Nobody communicates with each other. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else! read more

I was there for a appointment with Dr. Salter this morning, waited for 50 minutes in the waiting room, finally they called me back and the nurse started asking me questions. I told her my problem and that a wanted to follow up with discussion I had previously had with Dr. Salter. She said "You won't be seeing Dr. Salter today the Nurse Practitioner will see you". I didn't want to see the NP, I had previous concerns that I had discussed with Dr. Salter. They could have told me 50 minute ago this. I made the Appointment with the Dr. and if she was delivering a baby they should have told me as soon as I arrived and I would have rescheduled. So I wasted a morning with these people that aren't very considerate of us. I wouldn't ever go back there if it wasn't for Dr. Salter, she is the best. A Place for Women is the place to go if you are in need for a OBGYN office. Dr. Delgado and her wonderful staff are beyond expectations. Upon arriving Cristin will go out of her way to greet you and check you in and make you feel welcome she is very sweet. I went there for a procedure which I was nervous about after all who loves to visit an obgyn office. Deanna came in to get me ready I could not of asked for a better person she helped me understand the procedure and anwered all my questions. Dr Delgado is by far the most warm hearted person you will ever meet she will answer all your questions and take all the time that is required to help you understand what is going on with your body. I can't even image going to another Doctor and I am so glad to be one of her patients. The whole office staff is great if you have any questions everyone is so helpful. I rarely give 1 star and this one really deserves none from me. I am over 65 and had been a patient there since 2014. The last time I tried to see a doctor, I had not one, not two but three appointments cancelled on me, each one 6 weeks from the last. I was told there was a birth for two of them and the last one was canceled by Dr Delgada herself who heads the clinic and would not take my call regarding my treatment by office worker, Helen, and sent me a letter signed by all 6 doctors stating none of them would treat me including doctors I never knew or saw. Be forewarned: Helen has a lot of pull and the patient is always in the wrong according to her - even when someone recorded my phone number wrongly and I showed up to find one of my appointments canceled. I had loved both Dr Cuadra, now gone and her replacement, Dr Lipton. In fact, Dr Cuadra saved my life by ordering the appropriate test leading to my diagnosis of bladder cancer. My conclusion is this is "a place for pregnant women and young women." I believe Dr Delgada wants to offload seniors so if you are a senior, I highly recommend finding another doctor. Luckily, I found the best in Dr Meena Jain who has no agist tendencies and whose office answers the phone (no answering service during office hours). She keeps a sharp eye on her office help and they are there because they are good with her patients. read more

My previous review was based on a long waiting time on the Doctor in the room after the nurse check me in. I was not happy but, Once Dr. Cuadro came in to the room she right away took care of me. In a very Eloquent and very professional tone she apologized for the delay and the rest of the consultation was very good. She addressed all my concerns and needs. I must have to write this review to make justice to the office because let's face it, every office from time to time goes through delays due to other emergencies greater than my own needs, and I have to admit considering the Circumstances we are living these Days with the Covid-19.... I have to give a 100% to this office and the Staff there for continuing providing an amazing service above all. Doctor Lipton is amazing. I had many in office procedures with her due to a cancer scare. During many very uncomfortable and stressful situations, she had me laughing and making me feel very at ease. She will take her time to explain everything and answer any questions. Plus, she talks to you like a normal person and not a stuffy doctor, which is so rare and helpful.
