As a patient of ~2 decades, it is disappointing to see how this is now run like a corporate office…read moreinstead of a medical practice. They no longer have sick visit slots. You get put in rotation with wellness visits. I called for a sick visit, and had to wait almost 2 months. At the visit they told me I needed a full exam, labs, an ultrasound, a mammogram, and a follow up appt. When I went to schedule all of those (except mammogram), I again had to wait more than 2 months. Taking almost half a year to diagnose a sick visit is wild. It took so long for the appointment, nearly all visible symptoms were gone. So, naturally, they were unable to diagnose the issue. I was told to just wait for it to reappear. Their pricing is so high, that even with insurance, my office visits cost shy of $400 each visit. I needed 3 different procedures from their office, and asked the doctor if there was any medical reason why I could not have them all done in the same day, and was told they could all be done in the same day. Got to the front desk, they told me it was not possible because 1 was preventive and the other 2 were diagnostic so they split them up into 3 separate appointments. So, I had to pay shy of $700 (for 2 office visits since only the preventive visit is fully covered) instead of paying for just one office visit. This is not only ridiculously expensive, but also extremely inconvenient for those that work the same hours the office is open. Then at my ultrasound appointment, my ultrasound tech, Georgette, was extremely rude and unprofessional. She was extremely upset that I was asking questions about the ultrasound, i.e. is the ultrasound internal, external, or both, what determines if a biopsy is needed, what is the after care, etc. She got so upset that she pointed to the ultrasound machine and said, "I'm gonna take that wand, stick inside you and it's going to take pictures!" and then slammed my file on the counter, said that someone should have already answered my questions, refused to continue the conversation and left the room to go get my doctor. Once the doctor came into the room and we proceeded with the procedure, Georgette kept sticking the wand in places that were no where near where it was supposed to go. I got confused and asked the doctor to confirm it was internal not external and it was confirmed it was internal. So, I told Georgette she was not putting the wand in the right place and was causing pain to the other areas she was jabbing it. She again got upset and said, "do you wanna just put it in yourself?". So, I ended up having to insert the wand myself because my ultrasound tech, who gets paid to do this......couldn't find the vaginal opening. I've had drunk guys do a better job at finding it. She remained rude throughout the whole entire procedure and at the end just left without saying a word. Not here's the results, here's what I looked at, here's what I found or didn't find. Nothing. So, in summary, it took a total of 3 visits, almost 6 months and almost $1,000 (after paying office visits, labs, follow up appts. etc) rude and unprofessional treatment from their tech, all to be told....they don't know and let it reappear. No, and thank you. After nearly 2 decades, I have left that practice.

This was the best Dr. visit of my life. Seriously. I always appreciate this team and think they are…read morethe most professional, friendly, and easy to work with. For social distancing they require you to call when you arrive to "check in." They let you come in when it is time for your appointment. My most recent appointment was with Amanda (my previous Doc has retired) and I think she might be my favorite Doctor I have ever had. Her nurse was equally awesome. They were sooo supportive and still extremely direct and transparent with me. My appointment was for 9am on a Tuesday, I had calls lined up right away (cutting it a little too close, if I am being honest) and so when they requested blood work I panicked. Not because needles (watching my husband's cancer treatments has completely numbed me to any heebie jeebies from needles LOL) but because I am a busy lady! I asked if I could schedule it for another time in the week and they told me to just come back in at my convenience that same day! WHAT?! The Dr. told me to come at MY convenience?! You might want to read that again because I still cannot believe it myself. Anyway, I can't get over how great this practice is.

Their wait time is ridiculous. When going in for a imaging appointment & meet with provider, I was there over 2 hours for 15-minute ultrasound & 15-minute meeting with provider the remainder hours and a half to two hours was spent waiting in the lobby, mind you that wasn't very busy at all. As for the care provided... Not particularly worth the wait especially when you constantly rotate through providers (office rule, not an option you have), you have no time to even build rapport... So in my opinion without building rapport, you have very minimal trust with whatever stranger you meet with at every appointment...

Scheduled an appointment for an replacement IUD and they told me they could do it for me and then called me back a week before telling me they can't. I was traveling my way up from out of town so I figured I could go to the place I always go. It's close to the end date of the IUD so I needed it switched so it didn't mess with my hormones but due to their mistake I'm stuck with waiting. They could of told me at the time of the appointment I made MONTHS ago for this. Who does that!! I've also had numerous terrible experiences with them so this was the icing on the cake. Find another place to go. Not worth it

This location isn't my favorite but that's only because I don't love DTSP, it stresses me out with one-way streets, parallel parking, and parking garages everywhere. I scheduled my own mammogram at the Women's Care location at 2191 9th Ave. N. When I arrived for my appointment, the technician told me she could not proceed because there was no referral in the system from the Women's Care office at 603 7th St. S. I explained that I am a patient at both offices, have a PPO, and have already met my deductible for the year. I also had no idea that I needed a referral to schedule the mammogram myself. I was asked to call the other office, to get a referral. I explained that my husband had left work early to bring me to this appointment, so I was really hoping they could resolve the issue. The nurse then lectured me about how they make recommendations regarding breast exams. I explained that I am 53 years old and, knowing it had been approximately three years since my last mammogram. Why can't a patient to schedule her own mammogram? I was actually questioned about why I thought I needed one. Isn't the purpose of preventive care to catch potential problems before they become problems? The nurse eventually told me she would approve the referral and send it through, and I graciously thanked her. After the agreed upon referral, the office began calling repeatedly, trying to prevent the mammogram from happening even though the nurse had just approved it. I was then told that I could not have the mammogram because a doctor had to approve it and the doctors had already gone home for the day. After nearly 29 years as a patient, I was made to feel like I was a problem because I had not been in for an appointment in several years. I have a documented traumatic brain injury that affects my memory, particularly my ability to keep track of timelines and remember how long ago appointments occurred. Unfortunately, annual appointments can sometimes slip through the cracks. Wouldn't it have been nice if someone had simply cared enough to say, "We notice you haven't been in for a while. Instead, I was lectured about how I was almost no longer considered a patient. This experience is unfortunately not the only reason I have lost trust in Women's Care. I had an endometrial ablation through this practice. The procedure was successful in stopping my periods, but years later, during an MRI, the technician was extremely concerned when she noticed something inside my uterus. She told me how dangerous it was that I had not disclosed that I had metal inside my body. I would have disclosed that information if I had known something had been left behind during my procedure without me ever being informed. After doing my own research, I discovered that the device used for my ablation contains titanium components, including gaskets/O-rings. My family's experiences have not been limited to my own care. My daughter had multiple issues with Women's Care during both of her pregnancies. They failed to send her blood work out, nearly ruining her gender reveal and forcing her to go somewhere else to find out the baby's gender during her first pregnancy. She was also told she was too thin to have PCOS when she raised the possibility of the condition. Since when do doctors determine whether someone can have a medical condition based on their physical appearance? During her second pregnancy, my daughter was called while driving to her second prenatal appointment and told that her appointment would be canceled unless her entire projected hospital bill was paid in full. She was in tears while driving to the appointment. She had money set aside, but she wanted her husband to review the itemized bill before agreeing to pay it. What made the situation even worse was that she was required to sign an agreement without being given adequate time to read and review all of the legal terms before being taken back for her appointment. I am done with Women's Care Florida. I deserve better, and so does every other patient who walks through their doors.
