Came by this place to get my bridesmaid dress altered and this was by far the least expensive option. I was very impressed by how well they altered the dress to fit my body and took care of all of my concerns. The owner is super sweet and makes sure to address all concerns and give suggestions on what can and can't be done. I was able to get my dress taken in and the top part sewed in to fit my body. The dress was also available in 2 weeks after I dropped it off. I do recommend coming in as soon as you can since spring is peak season for Prom and Weddings. Thank you thank you Jaime for altering my gown so it was perfect! Jaime was so sweet and explained her reasoning behind everything she recommended. Ultimately she let me make the decisions which I appreciated. My wedding gown needed very minor alterations but so much at the same time. Here is a list of all the things Jaime did to my gown: Lined the mesh up top, shortened the straps in the back, shortened the length, and added a 3 point bustle (I think it was American?). Her prices are also very affordable and much less than what I was expecting. She told me no bride has ever left her shop unhappy and I am another extremely happy bride! I took my wedding dress for alterations to Jamie at A+, and overall, I'm very happy with how my dress turned out. It needed to be hemmed and bustled - Jamie did a wonderful job with both of those things. She also saved the day when I wanted to add detachable, off-the-shoulder sleeves to the dress so that I could change up my look between the first look and the ceremony. The sleeves I ordered off Etsy came last minute and in the wrong color! I didn't have time to order another set, but Jamie happened to have the right color fabric, and she whipped me a set right up using the Etsy sleeves as a guide. They turned out beautifully, and I'm so glad she was able to do that for me. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the decorative buttons I asked her to sew down along the back of my dress. She used way too many buttons - some were touching and the rest were overlapping each other! It wasn't until my mom took the buttons off the dress the day before my wedding to re-do them that we realized why they were like that. Instead of sewing each button on, Jamie sewed 3 or 4 on, and strung the rest along on a piece of thread between the "anchor" buttons, which is why they had to be touching each other. They wouldn't have stayed in place otherwise. It was a shortcut to save time, but she still charged me per button. Still, I was very happy with the rest of my dress - it really did turn out beautifully. And I would absolutely recommend Jamie for hemming and bustling. read more

Same Day Service! I bought a new sport coat about four months ago and waited until noon on a Saturday to try it on needing to pack it for a flight leaving out the next day. Of course, the arms were way too long. I brought it by here hoping that they offered same day service and it turns out they did! I had it back within a couple of hours. This is a very late review but i had to come back to do it. The owner of A Plus Alterations was very warm and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable throughout the experience. I had two suits that needed to be altered end of December. I told her i needed one in about a week and the other in about two. Despite the busy holiday time, to my surprise, when i went to pick up my first suit, she had both of them ready! She said she didn't want to put me through the trouble of coming twice because it was a bit of a drive. It really showed she cared. Now in terms of the fit, the suits came out amazing! A lot of my friends thought that i must've bought an expensive suit because of how great they looked. She charged reasonable rates for a flawless fit. The experience here was great. I really appreciate a small business that has good customer service, quality workmanship and fair pricing. I've been coming to this location for years mainly for my uniform alterations. After COVID I gained so much weight and last year I caved in and bought larger sizes bc I was finally coming to terms that my larger size was now permanent. After buying new (quality )clothes for my new size toward the end of fall last year I didn't anticipate losing weight. I spent so much money on clothes that I couldn't return donating them wasn't an option. I wasn't prepared to buy a new wardrobe (again) I carried my favorite pieces in and of course she gives me her honest opinion- this will cost too much to do and offering me an alternative cost effective solution. Yelp does it again! I trusted A Plus due to all the 5 star reviews and was not disappointed. I took in several Lily Pulitzer dresses that no longer fit in the bust after I had some work done. I've been sewing for years but these alterations were beyond my scope of expertise. I was thinking they'd put some gussets in but they didn't even have to. Amazingly when I picked them up they had let out the seams to the point that the bust fit in every single dress. They all look like they were made for me and you cannot tell where the alterations were made. Knowing what I know about sewing I can tell you that a lot of work and time went into my dresses. These women know what they are doing. Absolutely perfect and super fast. Great, friendly customer service, too. I will be back many times, I highly recommend!! read more
