the neglect by this company is horrendous when they leave you stranded for 2 hours waiting for a return ride home after having 4 teeth pulled. inhumane to say the least. they kept lying on the pick up time for 2 hours. what a joke read more

The ABSOLUTE WORST! 'A+"? How about "F-"! I was told I had to prepay ($175!) over the phone for my mother to be transpoed from Alb. Med. to Sch. Rehab. I called, gave them a CC and received a confirmation code. I was told that my mom would be picked up between 1-2pm, and to arrive at the Sch. facility just before 2. So I get there at 1:50. At 4:30 the Sch. facility gets a call saying that I have to "pay" for the transpo. The person on the phone is the Albany Med nurse, because NEITHER of the A+ guys speak enough English to ask me themselves! I tell her I've already paid, then I'm asked for the confirmation number, who I spoke with, and at what time. WTAF? I tell the nurse that I wrote the confirmation number down on an envelope on my kitchen counter and I hadn't brought it with me. I guessed at the time, and told her that the person did not give me a name, but that it was a woman. The nurse relayed the info and hung up. I called my husband and had him find the envelope and read me the confirm. # in case they called back. At NEARLY 6PM the "service" FINALLY arrived (3-4hours LATE) and brought my mother inside. Neither of the guys spoke enough English to understand which room she was to be delivered to, so I had to guide them through a facility I HAD NEVER BEEN IN! Then, at the door to the dementia unit, there was a sign indicating "press red button then open door". So they press the red button and wait for the door to open. They do this several times, even though I suggested that they try to open the door after pressing the red button, but my Spanish is very rusty and they did not understand me. After one of them BANGED on the door someone opened it and let us in. My mother is 98 years old and has dementia. Of all the times she has had to be transpoed in the past year this has been the ABSOLUTE WORST. This company SHOULD NOT be in business. DO NOT USE THIS "service". read more

No care for patients whatsoeve! they have one of the worst customer service-very rude and will not tender apology whatsoever! When they are late or miss a scheduled appointmen! Called me to see if I was going to my appointment. Which was a good thing. However not showing up on time for my specialists appointment today and in the past makes for a poor job done, or not done. I have also seen my neighbor getting paid to use this service for drug rehab and not going only to get more drugs using this service. Now she's dying because of a company that was supposed to help ensure she goes didn't. Thank you for all the problems. They'll let you sit for 6 hours after your supposed to be picked up. read more

I would give A+ a 0 rating one star is too much. I was required by their policy that they carry me up my stairs that I can walk up. They provided the wheelchair that was a dilapidated extra large chair. When I finally got home I was experiencing more pain from a chair that was too low for me and they smashed my arm when taking m off the ramp. Then i ha to transfer to my chair after they couldn't fit their chair up my stairs. Poor all the way around. read more

needed to have someone picked up and taken to a funeral and then to the repast . Gave them the times and they were late for every one of them. He missed the viewing hour and when everyone left for the cemetery he was left waiting outside to be picked up . when I called for his final pick up it was an hour before they got there. This company is the absolute worst! They left my wife and daughter sit outside St. Peter's hospital for over 3 hours. The dispatcher kept saying 15-20 minutes, and this went on for hours. Save yourself the headache and call someone else. Then the dispatcher told us the call was canceled. These people are outright incompetent, and they deserve their contract pulled!! I have been using A+ meditrans for a very long time. Lately though they went downhill. And this has nothing absolutely nothing to do with COVID-19. This has everything to do with the drivers that won't say hello to you when you get into the cab. The ones that have their music up so loud you can't hear yourself think. And I personally don't care about that. But I'm sure the elderly people that were in the van with me do care. Some of the drivers are very unsafe on the roads. We even had one stop at a school because she saw her husband or boyfriend picking up their child and she stopped to give the husband a kiss. There is one driver they had who was young and he had 2 jobs. He was great. Respectful, talkative, always said hi and asked how we were. He was awesome. I won't say who the most disrespectful drivers are. People that use this company either know already or will figure it out quick. It helps when the owner is the same. Anyway we have changed companies. The new company is new to this business and they do a much better job. read more
