Westwood taxi came through to their word! My 10:30pm train did not get in til 1:30am due to delays,construction and track "issues". I call a full day ahead so that there is no rush to scramble a driver together. Day of my flight driver is a little late, and I was told they got pulled over when I called to see why. Not that big a deal I guess. When the driver pulls up, it's kind of a ratty minivan that does not look well maintained from the outside. The inside is kind of messy towards the front, but I'm in the back so it's fine I guess. The musty smell in the car though is everywhere and the heat isn't helping, so I ask the driver to turn the AC on right away. The car is so old that we are already on the highway by the time the car stops blowing out max heat and finally switches over to AC. The smell is still here though. Bleagh Driver got on his phone three times while the vehicle was moving. That's a demerit for sure, but he makes great time on the highway and keeps the car steady, so I guess it kinda nets out. Also, he tried to make small talk once, which is appreciated. He also stopped talking once I gave polite, yet short and to the point answers, which signaled that I wasn't really into conversation. That's a big plus. Scratch that, once we hit traffic again he couldn't help himself and started chatting again. The total cost is definitely higher than if I had taken an Uber pool or even an Uber by myself by easily $10-$15, but you give business to a local small business so I guess it depends what that's worth to you.
