My roadside assistance provider booked A-Plus to jump start my completely dead battery. The guy said he'd be 35-40 minutes but finally arrived after one hour. That's 20-25 minutes late, maths fans. He hooked up his jump start machine to my car and immediately told me to try starting it. Didn't work. He tried to tell me it was my starter (clearly it wasn't) and when I asked him if I could get it hooked up for a bit before trying to start again - you know, so the battery could actually get some juice - he huffed real big and hooked it back up. Not 30 seconds later, he told me to start it. This too failed, since my battery was completely dead, and then he just ripped his clamps off the battery and repeated his assertion that it was my starter. Since he wasn't interested in helping me and didn't want to be there anyway, I just let him walk. On the plus side, my bad experience with A-Plus led me to Alan at Affordable Towing, who was super nice, showed up earlier than projected, and actually gave my car time to benefit from the battery pack he hooked up to it. My car was damaged when I drove by an A+ Towing vehicle on 9/27/19. They were very nice and asked me to send them 2 estimates. I did so and now they won't answer the phone unless I call from a different area code. They asked me to send my address, which I did, and once again I have heard nothing and they won't answer the phone. Please avoid this company, because they do not take responsibility for their actions. read more

My wife's vehicle was towed here and I was at home with our children so I could not come into town to pick her up. Regardless of answering the phone they swore they are closed and no one was at the office. My was left on the side of the road with no one to help her home and the people at A Plus would not let her pick her vehicle up even offering to pay double their normal fees. I spoke with a guy on the phone and he was the rudest and most arrogant prick I've ever had to speak with. This place is horrible. I'd sooner push my vehicle into town myself than even let these people tow it, even if they offered to do it for free. Many locals have stories of this place damaging vehicles left in their possession or stealing items from vehicles and the company denies it regardless how many complaints are filed. This is a really bad towing company very unprofessional and very uncooperative and apparently according to Taney County Sheriff's Department they won't use him because of the same reason. He don't work well with customers is very rude and has a potty mouth I have turned him over to the BBB and filed reports with the Taney County Sheriff's department and the Hollister Police Department all I'm going to say is beware read more

Excellent fast service! I had a nail stuck in my tire and it went almost completely flat. When he started on the job I didn't have the correct tire kit but he did. He was very professional and asked if I wanted my tire in the back of my SUV or back under where my spare tire is. He also was able to tell me if it was repairable, and it was. He also let me know the recommended speed I should go. Very helpful and highly recommended. read more

I was at the lake when I shut my door and my truck automatically lock the doors.i didnt have my phone or anything.so a by stander,went to the office,and the office called A plus towing.So I waited like 2 hours before this young kid finally gets there.so he told me it was going to be 75 dollars, I said ok once u get the door open I will call my insurance and they will take care of it,So after like another 30 minutes he finally got my truck opened.i was on the phone with my insurance company and I was looking for my insurance card when he came up to me and said we dont go through insurance companys.so I said then why did u need all my info for the insurance then,and why didnt u tell me that before you opened my truck,and he said he did,plus he said it was going to be 85 dollars,so of course I was getting pissed.and i continue to look for my insurance card while i was still on hold with my insurance company. So after about 10 or 15 minutes went by,on still on hold,that young kid came up to me and said that if I dont give he 85 dollars,he was going to call the police,I said u go right ahead,so I stopped looking for my card,and went over to set in the driver seat and was getting more angry, when he came up to me and said this is ur last chance,so I basically went off on him and told him that he better leave me alone.So he called the police and as I waiting for my insurance company and the police,he came up and told my that he now has all my info and that if he or anyone elses see me truck done there that that were going to tow/repo it,even after I pay them,that he threaten that they were going to take my truck,or no reason.So the police got there,and there was 4 police officers and I was thinking wow why is there 4 officers there,so they came up to me first and I told them everything that happened, plus at that time I was still on the phone with the insurance company, so they walked over to him,and he said the same thing except the part of repoing my truck,so there police told him that if they touch my truck for any reason with my consent, that they would get he on grand theft auto.so while I'm still waiting for my insurance company, 3 of the officers came back over to me,and thats when they told me that him company is a bunch of shady people,and that they always getting phone calls to there house and to when people call them tows or assistant.so after a little while I just decided to pay with my credit card,and the officers told him to only charge me 75 like I was told,well I was standing almost beside this kid,and he went ahead a charged me 85 dollars,so I grabbed my card and we off on him about being charged 85,when u first told me 75 dollars.so not only was I getting ready to kick this little punk kids butt,the officers started yelling at him to,and the kids thought this was funny, so again the police told him to not touch my truck and that he better not use my credit care for anything.I told the kid that I want a receipt, and he said that they will text me one,and I said ur not leaving until I have a receipt, sure enough after about 10 minutes, I get the receipt from a text.and the police said that these people have screwed over alot of people,and I said if I would of had my phone,it probably been different. NEVER USE THIS TOWING COMPANY. On 12/01/17, my boyfriend and I went to Branson on vacation. As soon as we were pulling into our hotel, someone rear ended us. A plus towing came and picked us up and towed our car away. We got our clothes and suitcases out but not our other belongings because it was hard to get in the car. We just figured we would be able to get it all later on because we were so shaken up at the time. As the weekend went by, the towing company was closed so there was no way to get my belongings. We went home (We live about 4 hours away from Branson) and that next week the insurance company said that they will pay for the towing company to send our belongings to my work. We asked A plus towing if they would care to mail our things and they did not mind. I gave them my work address because that address is easier to find. Weeks went by and I still had not received my belongings. I called them for a tracking number and she said she would send it to me when she got back to her office. For another 2 weeks we kept calling for a tracking number. They kept us running in circles and ignoring/lying to us. The last time we spoke to them my boyfriend asked about the tracking number and she got upset and cussed and hung up on him. She lied and said that she paid for it out of her own pocket, which was not the case. At this point I am getting really upset. I called the Branson police department and they told me they would call A plus towing for me and see if they can get the tracking number. Later on, the police called me back and A plus towing lied to them stating that all they did was box up my belongings and that the insurance adjuster mailed my things. I spoke with the adjuster and he said he did not mail anything, that he never even seen my things or met with the owners of the towing company because they weren't in office when he inspected my car. I was about to give up when the next day UPS brought my belongings all crammed into a small box. The date was 01/08/18 which means A Plus towing overnighted it to me. I am still missing a hat and a binder with some mails and paperwork of mine. At this point I'm so upset that I don't want my things that they kept back. I would hate to even talk to them anymore. I am sure they would ignore my calls anyway. They are the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered. I feel like they were just taking my things and when they realized that I called the police they rushed my packaged to me even though it was missing some things. I was already going through a lot with my car being totaled and being 4 hours from home. They made everything so much worse. read more
