I've past this salon for yeeaarrs but wasn't sure if they serviced all hair types but thankfully Shanetra was recommended by my usual stylist. She's been a stylist at this location for about 7 years. She was kind enough to squeeze me in last minute and serviced me quickly. She was so sweet, professional and did an excellent job with my style that included a shampoo, condition, blow out, trim, braid down and clip in extensions and curl. The style came out better than I imaged and she worked fast! I was out in about 90 minutes. The salon is clean and cozy with a country home feel. Moved to Savannah from Southern California terrified of letting anyone touch my hair besides my hair dresser I've been with for years. After a horrible expensive hair job at the Dillard's salon, I found Michelle.. Let me tell you, this girl is great at her job. She has great color and cutting skills. I like my hair to be very blonde and she's great with blonde colors or highlights. My recent hair color has been the ombre and she did so great on that too!! This was my first time in this salon as I just moved to town. I went in for a very simple haircut. My hair was a grown out layered cut and I grew it out purposely to get it to one length. My stylist did exactly what I asked for (to cut the really long layers to even them out with the shorter layers. I was in the chair for maybe 15 minutes. It's a decent haircut but for $50 ($40 for the cut and I tipped $10) I think I expected a tiny bit more customer service. In any other salon I'd get a hello and a smile from anyone who tended the front counter along with any stylist that walked past me and I made eye contact with everyone. However, none of them did....not even the owner of the salon. Big mistake when you don't make a new customer feel welcome. Aside from the cold shoulder the place was dirty. The walls need to be painted and the mats at each of the stylists stations needed a good cleaning. Christmas decorations stuffed into plastic storage bins sitting on top of the waiting area benches, leaving only an upholstered loveseat with stains all over it in the waiting area and add to that the owners dog jumping up on it next to you. I am an animal lover and the dog was adorable but come on....be a little professional and clean up your act. I like my haircut but I won't be coming back to this place because of the dirty, unwelcoming atmosphere. Sorry but you really need to try harder in the customer service and hygiene departments...and the sign on the counter that requests you pay in cash because of the costs of using credit cards felt like a guilt trip as soon as I walked in. By the way, I did pay in cash but most people pay for everything these days with credit or debit cards. I understand that the pandemic has done a number on small businesses but that's no excuse for poor customer service and uncleanliness....especially in this type of business. read more

At the very last minute and with the help of Yelp I was able to get an appointment the very same day. The response from the salon was super fast via Yelp messenger. The atmosphere was very relaxed and fun. The stylists were all very friendly, professional and relaxed. They all really seemed to enjoy their jobs there. Dawn was super nice and extremely helpful. I am new to town and was in desperate need of highlights & a cut. I was very nervous about trying a new stylist. I was able to get booked with Michelle. She was actually booked up but came in at 7:30 am so she could fit me in. The salon was cozy. Michelle was super fast with my foils. You could tell she has plenty of experience. The reason I generally let my regrowth go a little too long is that I hate the time it takes to get my hair done. I was in and out in less than an hour and a half with full foils & a cut. Rethink this... unless you go to owner Michelle who seems to know what she is doing. All of the other stylists are not up on their technique or have enough experience. My color- roots only was only done correctly one time over the course of 6 months. Every other time I had to go back 2 x's to fix.. They do not listen to their clients. This lat time I had my roots done with Shanetra ..I asked for a color and was literally given what they wanted to put on my hair and it was wrong. When asked the stylist Dawn? who was helping her to mix color," What color did you use?' I was outright lied to. What bothered me more was afterward.. the owner who had the expertise to fix it- did not take over and say-- We can fix this - she just allowed me to leave with no recourse paying 70.00 for roots only. I had to go to another salon to fix it. A business owner should help their customers, not leave them in that way. It is bad business. It is a cute place but I would not take a chance- You will regret it. Unless you use owner - it is pot luck. I also have extensions - So much to say there - not enough time or room to write. Again, the stylists do not listen- do whatever they feel you need and when the result come out badly they actually blame their clients. I have never seen anything like it. I had hoped Tameka's work would be all that she seemed to put off ..however, after bleeding and having loss of hair- No- this was due to putting braids in so tight they drew blood and pulled out hair from root as well as adding more 5 braids rather than the 2 I asked for-- which was more then I have ever had on my head in my life as well as 1/3 more hair on my head- It was like I was carrying 3 lbs of hair! Then after running back to ask her to fix this.. Her explanation was blaming my thin hair and me! Hello, I get extensions because my hair is thin and she acts like a know it all- she has much to learn. She refused to remove the mess of braids she put in and put only the 2 I had orginally asked for and said she couldn't do my hair going forward!! Who does that? Very sad as I have had my hair done over 20 years and Never lost a strand or was in that kind of pain afterward. The ends of brand new 600.00 hair was also left chopped using sheers rather than tapering so it tangles every 2 minutes. I will have another stylist fix this- but what a shame. The owner Michelle- just stood there watching out of the corner of her eye saying nothing and doing nothing.. no apologies---sorry this happened ...not a word. Deidre Daugherty was the stylist I was set up with when I booked an appointment at A Pose place for highlights and a haircut. Initially when I first left the salon my hair looked great. My highlights were very ashy and looked perfect. Two days later I wash my hair at home and my hair looks completely different. It looked extremely yellow and brassy. The back of my hair and ends were extremely dark and there was no highlights placed in those areas. It looked nothing liked I asked for. I call and went in to see Deidre so my hair could be fixed because I was extremely dissatisfied with how it looked. Right away she was extremely rude to me and had a very bad attitude. Not only was she being extremely aggressive she was yelling at me in the salon. Instead of trying to resolve the problem she acted unprofessional and would not work with me to fix what she had created. I ended up leaving the salon extremely upset because I could not take her aggressive behavior towards me in her unwillingness to make me a happy client. When I called back the salon to speak to the owner she was non-apologetic and could care less how I feel about my hair and the way I was treated in her salon. I asked for a refund so then I was forwarded to Deidre who refused to once again resolve the problem. She had a bad attitude and was yelling at me on the phone. She refused to give me a refund. Neither Deidre or the salon owner were apologetic. Now I have to go to another salon to have them fix what Deidre did. I did not ask for horrible brassy highlights with dark ends and the back of my hair to be dark. The poor behavior of the salon owner and Deidre Daugherty was extremely unprofessional and upsetting. Now I have to take action in other ways since neither of them want to cooperate. I would never recommend anyone go to this salon. No one should have to go in for a service and get treated so poorly and be spoken to so aggressively. As a client, you should get exactly what you asked for and leave happy. read more

My first visit to this salon, and I was pleasantly surprised. The stylist did exactly what I asked of her. My hair is easy to mess up as I have experienced many times before but my thick hair was no issue. One of the best things I experienced was, I was charged for the services rendered. I have a very short haircut and did not request my hair washed as it is easier to cut dry with this style. She did not overcharge me, which I have experienced at other salons. There's no reason to pay 50 dollars for a neck and ear trim on a pixie cut. Thank you so much for that great understanding. The environment was charming, and the ladies were down to earth. I spent $270 on my lace front human hair wig and i paid the stylist $90 to put it on and cut in layers. She made it way too tight put glue all over my ears got it in my hair. I got the wig for me to wear for a while so my real hair could actually grow over time well because of all the glue that was stuck in my hair i had to shave my head all the way down and it broke my heart because i had 4 months of growth on my head already. When i called the salon the owner told me there was nothing she could do an refused to help me. The stylist then said she was not going to refund my money or anything to help my situation. She completely took advantage of me knowing it was my very first ever wig that i was so excited about an my family was excited to that when i came home everyone looked at me in disbelief an shock and not in a good way. Went in for an ombre, got ridiculous colors with a horizontal line around my head, 2 random highlights to my scalp in the middle, and a terrible root cover up color I can't believe she thought would be permissible for me to go out in public in. Terribly unprofessional. She should have told me after the first try that ombre was not in her skill set or handed me over to a different stylist. That would have spared my hair and money. I had gone in for highlights the appointment before and had no problem with them, so that's why I returned for the ombre.
