I have always had the best experience at Colorboxx pooler . The ladies there do a splendid job with the hair cuts and color. I always request for Cassie and I generally give her an idea about the length and color( in most cases I leave it to her ) and she works her magic ! The salon is very clean and well lit . The ladies are very warm and make you feel comfortable while you wait. If I get a cut and color done , it generally takes a minimum of 2 hours but Cassie is a perfectionist and doesn't do a rush job, so it's worth it. I recommend keeping at least a buffer of 3 hours to get a full cut and color do. Also, the place is pretty busy always , so make sure to book an appointment in advance. Although prices might look a bit high , based on the products and skills, I feel it's completely justified . The quality of the products they use are long-lasting as well as gentle. Colors seem noticeably vivid and stay on for more washes than the other places I've been to that are cheaper. I am happy to say that I am yet to be disappointed when I walk out of there when I get my hair done! read more

I had always seen the Colorboxx location downtown, but I was loyal to another salon. After I moved to the Pooler area and Colorboxx opened its location there, I decided it was finally time to give it a try. I have been to Colorboxx Pooler about 4 times now and have had a different stylist every time (because I always book a day or two out). I have been thrilled with the consistent service, professionalism and talent. Some of those stylists have moved on, but I will give props to Seth and Liana who are still there. Both are great choices for doing cut and color! There is something about Colorboxx that makes me think: "Wow, these people really know their stuff." From setting up my appointment to getting my hair done, this salon has been excellent from the get go. The receptionist was able to book me for an appointment for a haircut and a balayage at a short notice and she had followed up with me when there was a scheduling conflict. I ended up getting the earlier spot and was able to be done and out of the salon before 2pm. My hair stylist was Rachel, who was a rising star at the salon. I had full confidence that she could get the color and cut that I wanted and I was not disappointed. My hair has not looked this good since, well, ever. I've always gone to either Ulta or Hair Cuttery, never again! Rachel exceeded my expectations and everyone was so nice in the salon. Prices are reasonable as well. I am a stay at home mom and spending money on myself, being hair, nails, skin or whatever just hasn't happened since I stopped working. I suffer with HUGE guilt since I am not making money. I have tried to color my hair at home and ended up crying every time. Well, I finally told my hubby I was done, and I NEEDED THIS!!!!!! When I made the appointment I asked for an up and coming because I just can't spend money on a master stylist. I have never been here before, I just know the owners ex husband and I like to support businesses when I have some sort of tie. I was scheduled with Kara, who was very pleasant and truly loves what she is doing. I thought they were kidding about being booked from 10 to 2pm. But they weren't! Offered me plenty of coffee and water :) I think next time I have this done, I'm going to bring lunch. BUT... I loved how my hair turned out. Kara delivered on what I wanted for color and being able to have my new growth and my now, sun kissed blonde hair to blend well together. I like to give my Stylist room for "play" for my cuts. My rules. It has to look good for my face, workable to for a tired, crazy mom with 2 boys under 4 and I need to be able to workout. Kara talked me into having long layers so my hair wouldn't fall so heavy and to keep my length to pull my hair back into a ponytail. I am very glad she talked me into keeping the length. Now, I was a little shocked when I heard the price when all was said and done. What I had done, was not what I had asked prices for. However, I am still tickled pink. So I recently moved to Pooler and I decided to check out different reviews to help me pick a salon I felt majority of clients had a good experience at. I'm not ever a person to complain, but I feel this is necessary to save another person's hair from being hacked at without being warned first. I had asked for layers and a beautiful long side bang. I brought in pictures and specifically asked if this was obtainable. I wanted to make sure that first I wasn't asking for her to work miracles and that my hair was the right type to fit the style and second that she felt it was something she could do. I ended up with an uneven chopped up mess and a giant chunk of hair cut to my forehead that would make every female cry looking in the mirror. Luckily, I'm not beyond the rationalization that my hair will grow back but I would never recommend this salon to any one...not even my dog. read more

She was friendly, funny, and did such a terrific job. I will definitely be using her from here on out. My entire experience was great from the moment I walked I until I walked out of the door. There was no difference with my hair and I paid a hefty price for and it was a master stylist. I paid but would never come back here again. Hairdresser (Haruma) did not listen to the request wanted by my college daughter. She cut more than wanted and said it was because she wouldn't do what she considered a boring cut. I called to discuss the situation and the owner (Nikki) who said she overheard the word boring being used and saw that my daughter was crying over having six inches cut off - then told me that if I wrote a bad review anywhere, including here, she'd serve me with a cease and desist and sue me. Stephanie is awesome. I had my haircut at another salon last weekend and it was horrible. I had hair down to my shoulder blades and I asked for a long bob. I ended up with a helmet with a dent when it was flat ironed or a mullet if I let it air dry. The lady had tried to put layers in it and cut the layers really short on top. I really thought I was going to have to cut all my hair off and wear a wig! Stephanie worked a miracle and turned it into a very flattering haircut. I am super happy and will definitely be back. I thought it was very unprofessional because she kept going on the phone, and sounded like she had some major drama going on. She kept having her assistant do my hair and never would I go back. I went to colorboxx two times. The first time it was a regular haircuts that you can get anywhere else. The second time I went and the stylist had cut my hair a lot shorter than what I had explained and the layers were uneven. She also left a longer and noticeable strand of layer. It was so bad my husband noticed right away. I was pregnant at that time and all I wanted was a decent haircut to boost me up. It was terrible. I am not a person who complaints and leaving this review is not easy either. So I called the salon and politely explained what had happened, they said to Come in and someone else would fix it for me, but I had to wait two days because they were booked and I couldn't go in that same day ‍. I went in and I gave a tip to the stylist that fixed my hair. It wasn't her fault my hair was horrible. Overall, I ended up paying overprice for a horrible haircut. I felt ripped off. Wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I decided to treat myself to a blowout while on vacation after seeing a sign out front that they had a blow out bar. The shampoo was sub par, so I asked for another shampoo thinking she would actually get my scalp clean. She didn't. It was a lot of suds without any scrubbing and she never washed the nape of my neck even after the second shampoo. It was downhill from there. After an hour of blow drying, it was a hot frizzy mess and I just wanted to get out of there and wash and dry my hair myself. read more
