Now one year later I see that the chrome plating now has some black spots that will not rub out, even though it has been sitting in my bedroom the whole time and I have not used it to cut anything. A quick google search finds that: "This problem of black spots which you are facing seems related to base material defect which you might have failed to notice during pre cleaning stage and the same is appearing over a period of time once plating is completed." In summary- this blade smith sucks.

They are so comfortable and function perfectly. He keeps a record of when you've had them sharpened and checks in to see make sure you stay on schedule with getting them sharpened. The shears are high quality Takumi Japanese steel, and totally stand up against the bigger brands like Hattori Hanzo. My next pair of shears will definitely be coming from Shear Empire!

I have a Dewalt…read morebelt sander that had fallen from a ladder onto it's corner, trashing the entire sander and rendering it inop. Unfortunately, Dewalt no longer makes belt-sanders, so parts or a replacement unit are no longer available. I really liked this sander and has performed flawlessly for years. I originally paid about $250.00 for it. L&L rescued it from the trash-can by essentially rebuilding it from an old unit they had in the back which acted as a "parts donor". They charged $100.00 for a LOT of work, and essentially turned it into a new, reconditioned unit (including a new housing that was cracked and enemies a new power cable). While $100 is a fairly large sum of money, it was well with worth the investment considering the tremendous amount of work they did. When I picked up the unit, the old parts where returned in a box, and all services were explained to me. They were very professional, and I am very pleased for their services!
