It is a beautiful thing when social media platforms are used to inspire, educate, and elevate gardening enthusiasts. -- First, I requested a poinsettia diagnosis of what to do with a plant that appeared to be struggling to survive. Smith's Gardentown provided an immediate assessment of the next steps to make my 2024 poinsettia thrive in 2025 and beyond. When this constructive garden knowledge was dispensed, another gardening question was asked. -- Second, another request was made regarding identifying names of two ( 2 ) unknown plants in my possession without identities. Personally, I thought it best to remove the dying succulent and simply stick in the soil for potential regrowth. Again, Smith's Gardentown affirmed my "half green thumb" thought of sticking the not yet dying succulent into the soil. However, Smith's Gardentown gardening professionals further suggested to prevent rot - Remove the dying succulent from the soil, Let the end dry out for 3 - 5 days, and then Stick it back in the soil. The only time I was ever fortunate to receive this kind of invaluable insight was at a medical office from a trusted medical professional!
