We had a consultation, I sent every piece of paperwork they asked for, and we did a follow up call to close out questions. Michael repeatedly said my case was simple, fewer than five creditors, nothing complicated. Then it all stopped... Two months went by and the only work product I ever saw was a single paragraph drafting a settlement with my biggest creditor. It had typos and unfilled placeholders in it. I wrote back inside an hour. That was the last I heard from either Michael or Renee. They quit answering me, and they quit answering the creditors who were trying to reach them. Eventually I had no choice but to move to a different attorney and request a refund of the $6,000 I had already paid. We will see if it shows up. I would not hold my breath. My take is that Michael seems to be heading toward retirement and is not focused on new clients.
