Kept asking me if there was anything that the chat bot could do to help and I kept telling him no and he kept going. It's very annoying if even the chatbot cannot take no for an answer. These are strategically good attorneys, that use what I would consider dishonest billing techniques. First the good, they understood how to apply pressure to my ex so as to get her to settle, and they deserve credit for that. Secondly, the bad. Repeatedly, I requested changes to the divorce decree, spelled them out in detailed e-mails with the page, section, paragraph and a description of the changes that I needed. For example 7 changes, to only receive 2 changes back. So you spend your entire evening rereading the entire Divorce Decree, only to realize they didn't complete the actions you requested. They say no problem, send you a new 4 figure bill, then they make 2 changes, but change one other item back. This happened repeatedly, I can only presume that a paralegal was doing this editing, and was just really sloppy. Furthermore I encountered excessive billing where they did not complete required items with the Attorney Generals office, and when questioned, they sent me a bill for that, for something they did not do that was written in to the very Decree that they created. When I completed the work myself the AG sent them a letter, which I guess they read, then they billed me again for reading the letter, from the work that they did not follow up on. Unbelievable really. Frankly in the end I thought that with me pointing these items out that they would do the right thing, but instead I keep getting sent bills and due dates. Since they are attorneys and can easily sue me, I'm going to pay it. Proceed very cautiously. read more

I honesty cannot recommend this firm to anyone after my own experience. I paid this firm $7,500 for services in a custody case and a court date that never materialized. Their dishonesty regarding my court filing and inflated billing is deeply concerning. In the beginning, the attorney fed me bait-and-switch tactics claiming he'd be my attorney to represent me in court. After highlighting his experience, courtroom prowess, and his direct approach, he built my rapport. He made me feel confident in his ability and based on this impression I paid the retainer. Once I hired this firm, I was told one of the associates would be handling the case in the courtroom. He said that if I wanted to use him it would cost an additional $10,000. Here began the eroding of trust and distress not because the associate would not perform well, but because I was misled and blatantly told he would be the attorney during a time when I was vulnerable and seeking expert guidance. Overall, if an attorney intends for an associate to handle the case or be the primary courtroom presence, this should clearly be communicated before the client signs the contract. In addition, superfluous charges for simple tasks and costs for unperformed actions, such as billing for contacting an expert witness three times when only one contact occurred, highlights serious concerns about billing practices. In one incident after a 14-minute phone call, I emailed a quick question and received a one sentence reply and was billed $150. Inflated billing, charging for work not completed, and billing for trivial tasks at a high rate constitute unethical conduct and fraud. At the heart of the issue is the fundamental duty of a law firm to provide competent representation and act with diligence, honesty, and transparency. When a firm accepts payment for a specific course of action, like filing for a court date, a client has every right to trust and expect that action to be taken promptly. In my case, I was told a court date was set so I paid my expert witness and they scheduled to be in court on that date. However, when I contacted the district clerk they said no court date existed or was ever filed. My attorney should have received confirmation and proof if he had filed it and should have known better. Saying I had a court date set when in fact I did not is a severe breach of trust, deceit, and a significant professional failing. Losing $7,500 without any real legal action is substantial especially when I was told it would get me through to my court date. Beyond the monetary loss is the lost time and emotional distress from the outcomes it caused. read more

I did not have the most favorable experience with this firm. I had very little time to shop for representation, so I had to take whoever came along first. I will always be grateful that he took my case on very quickly; however, overall I was not pleased with Brandon's overall representation. He lacked preparedness and the sensitivity surrounding my situation. I was always the last to know and receive documentation, which gave in to the opposing side's allegations that I was dishonest when I clearly was just unaware. He was disengaged and usually late for our meetings. I was a bit underwhelmed and hoped for better involvement from him given the high ratings. Bledsoe review It has taken me several months to write this review. At first I didn't want to speak out of anger. I am a business owner and a professional and i know the value of a review. I was represented by Brandon Bledsoe on my custody case for my son. He was completely unprepared for the final trial and made weak and ineffective arguments throughout our final trial as well as two previous hearings. He failed to submit our list of witnesses to the other party on time so we had no witnesses to testify. He also failed to request discovery from the opposing team, so he had zero information from them to base his arguments. It was a disaster. He then proceeded to deal with me unprofessionally because of my criticism of his lack of preparation in a case that literally determined my son's entire existence, and refused to speak to me or respond directly to me afterwards. He was terrible at communicating with me throughout. The judgment was made in August of 2022 and yet here 7 months later I have not received a final order from Mr. Bledsoe's office. His team was cordial and nice but if that doesn't come with follow-through and effective representation, it's not sincere. Okay, so it's now many moons later and Brandon got us through the whole nasty court case with dedication and perseverance. He's relatively inexpensive.No, he's not quite as seasoned as some hotshot family guys around town, but he doesn't charge the $425 per hour and make you wait 2 weeks for a return phone call, either. I'm a private investigator and refer many, many clients to him. These days my pockets are a bit deeper and we could hire anyone we want if we got in this situation again. I approached The Bledsoe Firm in late May of 2017 with a particularly complicated case involving CPS with the goal of being awarded custody of all five of my children. I was living out of state in New Mexico and needed a team in Austin that I could count on to tackle and achieve this enormous task. From the onset, this proccess seemed daunting and at times, not likely being that the traditional thinking is that the mother holds much greater probability of success as far as custody is concerned. It didn't help matters that the mother held custody at the time and had for five years preceeding this case being opened. One of the children had never been legally adopted but lived with us from infancy and was raised as a sibling. This resulted in fighting to have her added to this case. To make matters more complicated, we experienced several obstacles with CPS including but not limited to false reports of final findings of investigations to all attorneys involved including the attorney Ad litem, blatant inadequacies, and dereliction of certain investigator's duties. The result was that several glaring and harmful conditions and occurences were never presented to the presiding judge with substantiating evidence to support them. Through all this, this team stood by me, never relented and achieved something that I, nor anyone I know has ever heard of. I was just recently awarded sole custody and primary managing conservitorship of all five children. Keep in mind that this was done while living out of state. I cannot express with words the gratitude I feel for or, the level of confidence that I have in this team. Aaron, the firm's Paralegal displayed genuine concern with issues that required real time and immediate action or changes to the case as well as a personal sense of urgency and understanding. His efforts had a direct influence on this teams success. Brandon navigated this case through seemingly impossible waters for quite some time. All men, stay far away from this lawyer. He dropped me in the middle of mediation because I would not accept the maximum that the ex could legally receive. I had to explain the purpose of mediation to him and the mediator. Why would I pay $1,200 for mediation just to accept the max my ex could ask for? I could accept that and keep the $1,200 in my pocket and not waste my time with mediation. He actually told me "I have to see these people again", referring to the other lawyers and judges in Austin, when he removed himself as my legal counsel because I told him that it was my constitutional right to have my day in court. This guy is a joke. I am not sure ANY man can get a fair shake in ANY family court room in ANY state these days but this lawyer is definitely not the one to try your luck with. Okay this review is concerning my divorce two years ago. I was just so elated to be out of the abusive marriage that I feel I settled when I could have received more. Brandon was personable yes. I feel he did Not do all he could have done for me. I suppose if I had paid more money he would have. He didn't have all the information he was supposed to have. I was abused in that horrible marriage & had asked Brandon months prior to get the records from Police Dept which he did not. Had I of known this earlier on, I myself would have gotten the records.
