A good friend call in A Superior Mechanical after the builder and mechanical company that installed the HVAC system in her new home were unable to diagnose and fix the problem. My presence was requested as I've built several home and have personally installed home mechanical systems, as well as dealt with sub contractors in instances, to interface and ask questions. When Brandon, the technician showed up, we were struck by his personality, his professionalism, and his knowledge. After a brief explanation of the problem, he set out an inspection plan, and met with us to thoroughly explain the process, and provided a detailed proposal for the work. We were both struck by how pleasant the experience was, and the confidence inspired by the entire process. After several months of frustration, we are looking forward to a smooth resolution of the problem with this company. I received a call from our technician, Dom, within 5 min of hanging up the phone with the office. It was for an 'out of hours' call on a Saturday. Dom was at my unit in no less than 15 min. Very helpful and informative. He will be returning to do our biannual servicing to the unit. He was kind, patient and knowledgable. He went above and beyond. After the third trip and 697.00 our unit was fixed. We were desperate to have it fixed due to cold weather. We agreed to pay what was charged. We thought this seemed high so we reached out to other companies and found they would have only charged 120.00 for the same service. I called A Superior to discuss this and was told he would get back to me. NEVER called me back. I left messages for 2 weeks. After the first week of leaving messages my phone calls were routed to an answering service. It's really a shame that companies like this one take advantage of people. This was completely overpriced. When I asked the technician how he liked working for Superior he said it was the very best place he's ever worked! See to me this is important because if it was the worst place he's ever worked I'd have to wonder if that grudge would translate into less than stellar service. This company does a fantastic job and I think a lot of it is attributed to solid ethics and leadership at the top. Over the last several years I have probably had three or four different technicians come to my house and every single time they're absolutely professional, kind-hearted, and not always trying to upsell but are trying to make sure that they solve the problems and provide guidance on any preventive measures that should be taken. This is going to be a unique review, especially since Superior is not the company that services our HVAC system. Long story, short; we have been using another company that did the actual installation of our HVAC in our new (3 year old) home and we have been experiencing issues with the upstairs system since day one. It seemed that whenever it got too hot, the upstairs system could not keep up with the heat or humidity. The humidity levels on a normal summer day would spike to 75%+ and the system would just run all day long. We worked tirelessly with the company that installed and services our system and they came out, no less than, 15 times. They installed new coils, did a deep clean of the system, "fixed" issues that were overlooked during the install and nothing seemed to work. They advised we look at installing a whole home dehumidifier. We asked them to provide a quote for this install; it came back at $4,500. With the cost being so high, I wanted to get a second/third quote so I called Superior. Skylar with Superior came out and man are we thankful he did. He did a full inspection of our system and the insulation within our home; his suggestion.... "You don't need a dehumidifier, you just need a system that actually works!" On his first attempt, he diagnosed that the compressor in our upstairs unit was not working properly; something our other company... "missed"? Skylar even put in his quote, alongside the cost of a dehumidifier, "I do not recommend this installation at this time." This is the most honest person I have run across when it comes to HVAC in Florida. We cannot thank Skylar enough for his honest and professional approach and we highly recommend using Superior. If this is the type of person they have, it says a TON about the leadership here. While we have to stay with this other company to ensure we don't have issues with the warranty, once that runs out, we plan on bringing all of our business to Superior Air. Great response and customer service but unfortunately fell short in equipment expectations when HVAC system was replaced. We keep our temp a constant 75degrees after replacement the temp rose to 82 degrees. Today will be the 6th time someone from A Superior has visited in an effort to get the system working. We were given the option of selecting a "good better,best" option. We selected better option. Hopeful to receive resolution TODAY. read more

Installed a Nest Thermostat but the system wasn't working right. Ivan came out and realized the system was originally wired incorrectly. He corrected the issue and serviced the entire system. On the hottest day of June 2022, our AC unit failed. I called several AC places for availability and pricing for after hours service, and A Superior was the first to respond with quick and professional service. The technician showed up in several hours as advertised and was very professional and positive even after having to crawl up into our attic where the temperature was so hot is seemed unsafe. He got the cool air back on long enough (one week) to get a new unit installed. There were no negative surprises and all work was done on or ahead of schedule. We had an issue with our system spilling water and flooding our home. We paid for A Superior to come resolve the problem. The technician was very nice but was unable to find the issue. The house flooded again beginning shortly after he left. I'm not trained in HVAC maintenance but was able to determine the cause myself. The fix needs to be done requires tools I do not have so I called A Superior and schedule for them to come out and provide the service. A Superior provided a date they would be out and let me know it would be in the morning. My wife took the morning and eventually the entire day off work so she could let the technician in. The reason she had to take the whole day off is because until after 3:30 pm we had not seen or heard from anyone from the company. A little after 3:30 pm, the technician called and left a message stating he was ready to begin heading toward our home if we return his call within 5 minutes. He also sent a text at the same time stating the same. I was in a meeting when the call was made so I was unaware of the call for over 5 minutes. Even though my wife took the day off to meet him, the tech never came. I called the company 5 different days asking to speak with someone on this item and I'm told someone will call me back but they have not. It has been weeks and they have not attempted to contact us and we still have a HVAC problem that remains unfixed. I subscribe to this company's yearly service program. They certainly bill me, just do not provide the service. They do not seem to care for their customers. It appears they get people to sign up and pay but do not service these customers. It also appears they have created a bunch of accounts and posted lots of good reviews for themselves. This company should be ashamed of themselves for taking peoples money without any intention of performing work. Stay away! read more

So I will start off by giving "ERIC" a big shout out for his patience, knowledge, and performance. I was very impressed by his professionalism and the fact that he came to my house after a 3:30 am Call (more on that later). We have a rental that had been closed up. After a 5 hour drive we were planning on kicking on the AC and grabbing a glass of wine and chillin. Well needless to sat that didn't happen! Instead we were in the sweatbox from hell and after watching 6 YouTube videos I decided to call this company. I thought what the heck, I will leave a message and at least I would be first on the list the next morning. Nope, the answering service took my information and Eric (God bless him) called me back in a few minutes. He gave me his location and said he was on his way. He told me about all the power surges in the area over the last week and assured me, he could take a look and diagnose. 45 Minutes after arriving....Guess who had air?! ME! Our A/C stopped working and we had to spend a few hot nights with our 16 mo old. We called A Superior A/C to get a second opinion after we were told we would have to replace the entire unit. The technician found the actual problem and fixed our A/C in no time. The owner even delivered a stand alone unit for our family to borrow in case it could not be fixed same day. My husband and I bought an AC unit and service plan after Hurricane Michael. At first, everything was okay and then after several service appointments things took a turn for the worse. i called because my unit would not turn on and was told I would be charged an after hours fee because they close at 3pm. That in itself is ridiculous because most businesses are open until at least 5pm. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to agree and had them come out. I was told the only issue was that the cover to the unit on the wall was not put on correctly and it wasn't making a connection. When I called (after I paid for the service) to question the service call fee (my husband nor I have ever taken the cover off), we were spoken to very rude and our request to speak to the manager was denied. After a couple weeks we received what we believe was the balance of our service agreement money that we paid when we originally had our unit installed. No explanation, no phone call...nothing!! We were also told we had to have this service contract in order for our warranty to be honored. After some research, we found that not to be true. Since then, we have been trying to talk to someone at this company to find out what is going on to no avail. Please folks....do your homework before using this company!! read more

We own a condo in PCB. Our daughter was staying there on vacation and complained that the A/C wasn't cooling right. We called these guys on the recommendation of a friend and they wanted $200 a pound for freon. After telling them to get lost I called another local firm and paid $50 a pound. Friends told me that they had recently paid $4400 for a new A/C system from ASuperior. The next week when it was vacant I went ahead and had mine replaced by the $50 a pound folks and paid just under $3300. I would say they are trying to rip off non-local folks but my friends are local. I guess these guys rip everybody off. read more

We have a vacation condo and one of our thermostats went bad. I am not familiar with local businesses and completed a search on Yelp for a good A/C repair company. I certainly found one with this company. First, when I called them to order service, they answered the phone promptly and asked good questions on my needs. They even called me back after that initial call to ask additional questions to make sure their technician arrived with the right thermostat. The company did a great job in scheduling the visit to meet my schedule. Just prior to the appointment, the company sent me an email to inform me the technician was on the way. The technician also called me on his cell phone to notify me he was 5-10 minutes away. The technician was Robert and he was well mannered and explained what needed to be done. He gave me the opportunity to make decisions about the work. The new thermostat was smaller than the old one. There would have been issues with paint and coverage. He suggested that he drive to a local supplier to purchase additional "goof" plates and drove to obtain the right plates. He did a nice installation. They look great. Once the technician was finished, he cleaned the area and showed me how to properly operate the new thermostat. This company is focused on customer service. I would highly recommend them. read more

The Air conditioner in our beach house had given all it had and decided to take its last breath the first night of our one week vacation. Robert from A Superior was at our place within one hour of our call. Unfortunately we needed a whole new system and it was Friday night at 9pm. To get us through the weekend he brought us standup units to keep us cool. The following week they got the new system installed without any issues.
