We had used this placed based on a recommendation and decided to have them Service two of our units.. We had a bad experience with the technicians after their visits. In one of the units we had a new AC installed and had to call them back out twice. I gave an extra star for the owner who I finally reached after talking with multiple call agents . We have used Quincys for 4 years now to service our home. We have had great service over that time. Recently we had our annual inspection on our furnace and a small leak was noted in the drain tray. They quoted me $750 to replace. I took a closer look at the damage, and it was clearly patched up previously. The only people to service the equipment is Quincys. About 9 months ago we had them pull out the coils and clean them. Its very obvious that's when the damage was done and covered up by the technician at that time. I tried to discuss this with Quincys and they would not listen to my reasons and said they would talk with a manager. That was 2 weeks ago and they have never gotten back to me to fix their mistake. People make mistakes, its how you take care after that matters. I am very disappointed at their lack of commitment to fix this. read more

Have been a loyal Quincey's customer for many years. Always used them to service our AC at our beach condo. Bought a new unit from them about 6 years ago, and was sold a 12 year warranty with it. Now this 6 year old unit needs a 2k repair and the new owners refuse to honor our warranty. We will never call them again! UPDATE: They did the right thing and honored our warranty!!!!! I've started using Quincy's in May 2020. They came to my home twice, once to inspect my AC, the other time for heating. Both times each service person was prompt and wore face masks. They did thorough inspections, cleaned & flushed the AC lines, as well as clean the outdoor unit. The office staff is friendly and helpful when scheduling. read more

I started out super happy with the Technician, Steven on Tuesday. A polite young man. Due to the fact that it was below 40* He was unable to even properly diagnose what was wrong. Therefore, he had an incomplete service call. He said he would be back on Friday, a warmer day, and would then complete the diagnosis, and would pend any charges until that day. Sounded reasonable. Today, the very next morning, I was hit upside the head by a 'collections' call. For incomplete work not even done. The rep asked to 'run my card on file' for the $89 incomplete service call. ? Then she asked if I wanted to use the same card for the $500+ bill that they sent me via email, which I had not seen. For work not even started. The quote said 3# of Freon at $81 per pound. Bubble Soap diagnostic for $258. I asked how she knew 3# of Freon when the diagnosis was incomplete? Her response was 'well, you get 1# free if you sign up for annual maintenance program' 'Can I process this $600 plus on the card on file ending in .....?' Double talk... I responded calmly 'This island is way too small for you to have derelict business practices like this.' My extended family owns about 20 pieces of property between all of us. ALL soon to be former clients of this business. I called my sister to vent, who also uses them. She told a colorful story about how they did something similar to her. And the representative pushed back on her like she was a former collections agent from a D paper credit card company like Capital One. I just opened my credit card online, an $89 charge is pending for the incomplete diagnostics call..... Seriously? FLIM FLAM SEE YA I repeat- This island is too small to have derelict, shady business practices like this..... If you have any self respect Stay away from this business.... read more

Called Quincy's with a problem with the AC in the morning. A service technician arrived that same afternoon, quickly diagnosed and replaced the capacitor and the unit is working fine since. The charges for the service call and diagnostics was reasonable and fair, the charge for the capacitor however is completely outrageous. I checked online for a comparable capacitor and found that they typically run around $20.00 (amazon, eBay, Walmart) so the charge of $150.00 Is pretty excessive. To add insult to injury, we got call the following Monday, (3 days later), one business day, wanting the account settled. So.....if you are unfortunate enough to need your HVAC repaired from Quincy, know that they consider their parts extremely valuable. Within a few minutes of posting my negative review, I received a call from Kieth, the owner of Quincy's. With his explanation of their inventory policy and their costs, I now understand more fully the charges, an adjustment was made on the cost of the capacitor. Further, he apologized for the call to pay the bill. I really appreciate it when the owner takes the time and effect to make his customers happy. I called at least 10 other companies for replacement quotes when my AC went out and most of them either didn't return my call at all or they called long after Quincy's already saved the day. The thought of having to call any other company for warranty service post install was terrifying. Their responsiveness alone made Quincy's an easy choice. From the initial phone call to the first service visit to installation - The Quincy's family displayed nothing but kindness, empathy, and professionalism at levels that are rare to experience. Their standards are high, and it shows in every facet of their business. A few examples: (1) The office staff called me just to give me a status update, even when there was no change. They knew my house was warming up quickly and I was worried. (2) They installed a temporary unit free of charge to keep me comfortable until materials arrived and there was room on the schedule to install. (3) The install team took pride in their work. Everything was installed PERFECTLY. (4) I feel like the service technician is a family member. I would feel comfortable hiding a key for this man. Seriously, so nice. (5) Every single team member that I have had the pleasure of talking to has been extremely knowledgeable, and they took the time to explain things that were otherwise very foreign to me. Mr. Walker (owner) and lead service technician Machell came out to assess issue with the air conditioning unit that was purchased and installed by Qunincy's in past. Called them on a Sunday had family from 12hrs away staying, unit stopped cooling, we live 6hrs away. Technician came by, family calls still not workin. call back Technician comes out again fills Freon and says emergency heating coil engaged $400 to replace. Pay $345 service fee. Fast forward 3 weeks later I get to the house AC on it's freezing inside, adjust thermostat won't shut off. Have to use main power switch to cut off. Call back Technician comes out #3 says board that controls fan need replacement. 3 days later office calls board is $495....Expressed my disappointment with their service results and the possibility of a 5th trip, more parts, more money...No thanks I'll pass! read more

"Who ya going call?" You may want to think twice before calling these folks!!! I called for help on 3 separate occasions, was promised a call back but NEVER happened. I had to call them back EVERY time on each occasion only to be told they would put the request in again. Was woken up last night to the smell of smoke and waited about 2 hrs for someone to show up to replace the thermostat they replaced last week which also damaged 2 other system components inside and outside the house, and oh ...almost forgot to mention now we'll need to repaint our wall. This could have turned out very badly if we would not have woken up to the electrical popping and smoke. Now waiting to speak to someone at Quincys to help get this resolved. "Who ya going call??? (((UPDATE))). Received a visit from (Keith) Quincys owner. I had a great conversation with him. Keith wanted to reassure us, the customer that he will make it right and will stand behind their work. Before contacting this company I highly recommend getting up to date on basic AC information because they will up charge you for things you dont need. I had an AC unit (TRANE) that was installed in May of 2021 by Quincy's and the inside units coil went out (Manufacturers fault not Quincy's) . It was under the 10 yr warranty but they wanted to charge me almost $4000 for this warranted part. $1600 for labor (800 and hour for a 2 hour job) and would not give me a price estimate on the refrigerant. They did say $150 per pound but wouldn't give me an estimate on how much for a 2 ton unit with a 20 foot line set. I also hired this company to do the 6 month maintenance on my systems and asked for pleated filters and the owner himself who came to my house didn't do this. After checking the system. the filter was so thin it actually was sucked up into the inside housing unit up towards the coli unit. They refused to give me an adjusted estimate on things I didn't need and changed their story on the phone saying those were just recommendations. I cancelled my service all together with them, Im now having another company coming in and ripping out the JUNK they installed and Im putting a new Carrier system in my house. The ladies at the desk are very rude. BOTH of them and the owner refused to contact Trane to see about helping me out with the labor costs. Its one thing to make money, but to price gouge and sneak stuff in when you KNOW they don't need it to make a dollar is just bad business. I highly recommend using other companies because Quincy is out to ROB people. Thats my opinion and a FACT in my case. Quicny. My suggestion is treat your people good and you wont loose customers. Because robbing them makes you look shady. and no one wants a shady company doing work for them. read more

I had been told that I needed a new air conditioner. I didn't buy that because 2 weeks earlier, all I needed was a thermostat. Therefore I was highly upset and called for a second opinion. Bob Scott from Quincy came by. It was blazing hot outside and inside and he just dug in and found the problem. It was a series of errors from a previous company and some wires shorted out. He was here for a few hours putting it all back together again the way it should be. He was nothing short of AMAZING. He didn't give up, he didn't complain, he didn't try and sell me something I didn't need. Instead he was very professional, courteous and most importantly, he was very knowledgeable. I tried to tip him and he wouldn't accept. I really can't say enough about him. I will use him always and hope no one but Bob shows up at my door to fix my HVAC! read more

Our experience with this business did not go as smoothly as possible at the get-go. However, they got the job done even though they were overloaded with customers needing repairs after the hurricane. The owner, Keith, called me directly and told me they were short-handed after the storm and stretched from trying to service PCB and the surrounding area. They lost a few employees due to the hurricane and currently working on hiring more crew. I can tell Keith truly cares about how his business operates and is willing to bend over backwards to keep his customers happy. BUT, one thing I just saw was a receipt from 2009 where my AC units were guaranteed for 12 years, PARTS AND LABOR. I can't tell you how much I spent having them come out and do work on those units.
