Just paid $636.20 to A to Z Appliance for repair of Oven Gas Whirlpool stove. Repair man replaced one part at $389.18 (including Service call, Labor and parts and sales tax and oven still not work. Called Whirlpool and they told him to replace another part. Waited for that part to come in and then charged us another $247.02. I called and talked to Sebastialn and he told me to call Whirlpool and it was on them to refund the cost of the 1st part for the repair. Called Whirlpool and talked to Darlene and she said it was on A to Z to refund the money for the 1st part. Called A to Z and left messages for Wayne to call me and never got a return call. Very disappointed in A to Z and also Whirlpool. Will be replacing a Stove and Refrigerator in our second home and definitely will not be purchasing Whirlpool appliances or using A to Z for any future appliances. Cheryl M read more

Service tech was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. A little disappointing that they had to schedule a follow-up visit to finish repairs, but I understood the reason provided. We called A to Z to look at a washer that stopped working. Their repairmen were able to come out in the next few days. On the first visit (yes, the first of multiple visits), the worker ran some tests and determined a part needed replaced and he was able to replace the part that day. A few days later, the washer started doing the same thing it had done and stopped working. We called A to Z to come back out and they did in the next few days. They ran tests again and said it could be another issue but couldn't find anything directly wrong with the washer and said it looked like it was working fine. The washer stopped working later that day. I called them AGAIN and they came out AGAIN and ran tests again and said it looked like it was a different issue now and the new part would be another $150 or so to replace. I asked if I could be refunded for the original part that was installed, and they said no since the tests they ran said the part was needed and was installed. At that point, we had wasted $300 for the part, labor, and service call, and they were asking for another $150. The repairman said he wasn't sure the new part would fix the problem. My wife and decided just to buy a new washer at this point since we didn't want to risk wasting any more money. I called to request a discussion with a manager to see if I could be refunded anything since they didn't fix the problem. They said they would not refund us anything and that this was a unique situation of a washer showing different parts as not functioning individually at different times...so there's a few possibilities of what A to Z is all about: they're either inept/don't know what they're talking about when it comes to appliance service, or they ripped me off. read more

Do not use this compan. I called them to fix my washer. After 3 visits and 2 separate technician, what they were saying still did not add up. They refused to check what I told them I thought was wrong. I took the machine apart myself. I found exactly what I asked them to check for. They refused to refund me for bad info. DO NOT TRUST THEIR BOOKINGS!!!! I booked a repair through the Whirlpool website for a washing machine repair. I received a confirmation for an 8 AM-12 PM time frame. We rearranged our schedule (as two working professionals, having to be home for an 8 hour window is not easy) to make this work. However, A To Z decided to change my appointment because "they did not have a technician available" from the 8 AM - 12 PM slot to a 2 PM-5 PM slot. More problematic, they did not call to notify me of the change until I received a robo-call 2 days later after their business had already closed. Essentially, I had to decide between not having a washing machine for the upcoming long weekend, or missing more work. TERRIBLE Customer Service. WOULD NOT USE AGAIN. read more

Joel was an absolute wonder - very polite, knowledgable and professional. He fixed my 19 year old washer and gave me lots of great advice. He will definitely be on my first to call list if I need any other repairs. The actual service and repair deserve 5 stars. However, we lost $250 dollars worth of food because they no-showed on us the day they were supposed to repair the refrigerator. They then lied to us and said it was actually scheduled for the next day. Overall -- * Demand a paper trail for everything they say. It's 100% our fault for not doing this. * The technician told us a certain day, then didn't show. I have 3 witnesses to that. Then when we called to ask where he was, they told us they would do their best to get there -- not one person told us it was scheduled for the next day. When the technician did show up the next day he apologized for not being there the day before like he told us. When we approached the office about all the lost food, they sent us a document that says we were never scheduled for the original day -- again, this is our fault for not getting things in writing. * If they tell you something would be helpful to the repairman but risks your food (like take everything out of the fridge and turn it off to defrost), don't bother. If you're under warranty, who cares if the technician has to spend half a day moving things out of your refrigerator. It's not coming out of your pocket. There are not many approved Whirpool repair shops from what I can tell, so you don't have much of a choice. The actual work was done very well and both time I've had technicians out they've been wonderful. But I can't reiterate this enough -- GET DOCUMENTS FOR EVERYTHING THEY SAY AND DO NOT DO THEM FAVORS IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO. I've already made a complaint to Whirlpool and I am crossposting this to Google as well. read more

Do not use this company. Price compare. Cost of service call and labor fee totaled $145 for a fix that took no more than 2 minutes. Called company to discuss and did not receive response. Called company again, spoke with Joe, request labor fee to be removed, he stated there was nothing they could do as technician already provided discount on labor, the cost should have ben $195 for the two minutes of labor. Technician slid old door off, slid new door on, in less than two minutes, totaled $255. Will not use them again. read more

I need a glass top replaced on my range. Everything on the range is fully functional, it just has a crack in the glass top. I have the part number from the manufacturer. A-Z would not take the part number or give me any estimate without having a technician come out to diagnose it. Are you kidding me? It's a glass fracture and everything works perfectly fine. I am writing this so that others know that this service is not a customer friendly service. I own a condo in the area and it takes me 45 minutes to get to the condo so that someone is there. The individual on the phone said..."Oh not a problem" WRONG...I never received a phone call even though it was scheduled for early afternoon, so at 4 I called and they said once again, "Oh not a problem" We rescheduled for Wednesday and the customer service man said he would absolutely contact the tech and let him know that it takes me 45 minutes to get there. WRONG...the guy called and said I will be there in 10 minutes! Almost like "I don't care if your there or not...I showed up" The tenant had no authority to schedule a repair and reemed me out for having to pay $60.00. This company should be ashamed of themselves. I used them at my home many times but not in the past 5 years. The must have changed hands or cut back on staff because they have the attitude of..."I could care less" Kind of like Sears and look what happened to them. read more

This is literally the worst repair service provider that I've under had to utilize. 3 weeks after my initial call and numerous times of them rescheduling, they finally came to service my refrigerator (they deserve a 1 star just from that experience alone). When John, the technician, arrived, he realized that he left all of the parts and had to make an hour round trip to go get them. An hour and a half later, he finally arrived back with the parts. As he starts pulling my refrigerator out from the wall, he starts telling me how he spent some time at the racetrack and picked up some type of bug there. He said it kept him on his couch all 4th of July weekend. Mind you, he is not wearing a mask and he keeps coughing, snorting snot, and touching everything in my kitchen. I had to verify that I have not had any symptoms of COVID-19 in order to be serviced, so why are your technicians coming into my house sick? This service company was dispatched due to a service issue with my washer that was covered under a Lowes Extended Warranty. The appointment was set by phone and on the scheduled day, the technician, Joel, called me before heading to my house. I described the problem and some basic troubleshooting that I had done. The problem was well known as bearings, so Joel was able to secure the part from a local supplier before heading to my house. He proceeded to quickly replace the old part and had my washer back up and running in less than 45 minutes from when he arrived. Very impressed with Joel's knowledge of the washer and how quickly he replaced the part. read more

I had a problem with my three year old refrigerator freezer and ice maker quit working. I called A to Z they came out and said it needed cleaned (charged me $127 service fee). The next week we went on vacation for a week, came home to the fridge not keeping food cold and we had to throw away 4 trash bags of food away. I called whirlpool and told them what happened and they said it was out of warranty, but they would cover parts, if I would pay for the labor. I used A to Z again to change the compressor and evaporator, when he tried to charge it (twice) it leaked out. He said the fridge is repairable, and charged me another $107 dollars. At this point, I would not recommend A to Z as I have given them over $230 for nothing. I should have never paid for the second visit in opinion. read more

I had a problem with my 2 year old Whirlpool refrigerator as the in-door water and ice dispenser suddenly stopped working. The A to Z technician came to the house on May 14th, was unable to fix it, and charged me $96.45 for the service call. Turns out he unfortunately misdiagnosed the problem as being high water pressure. I then had a plumber come to the house who checked the water pressure which was fine. Problem was simply there was a kink in the plastic water line behind the refrig causing the problem. Based on my honest feedback and review on the A to Z website, I was subsequently contacted by the owner Nate Steman, and he fully reimbursed me. Based on that, I would not hesitate to use A to Z Appliance Service again. Thus the 5 star rating. read more

Very unprofessional experience. "Tech" came out, pushed start, dishwasher worked. It hadn't worked previously. He said, well, looks like you are good to go. He said they do not replace control boards, even when my wife asked him if he could check further. The "tech" then started into the religious harassment of my wife, who was home alone. She felt very uncomfortable. I called Wayne (Mgr) to complain. He said they couldn't help us out in any way, and sometimes they charge people $100 to plug in a cord. Very unprofessional experience! I would hope this will get forwarded on to someone in charge at your company. I am sending this as an opportunity for you to improve your business. I have a Maytag refrigerator that had to be repaired multiple times under warranty and Maytag recommended AtoZ appliance. I have now had the refrigerator for 18 or 19 months and it is yet again having the same cooling issue. Now that it is out of Warranty I called to schedule a repair and hoped for some consideration since A to Z had done all repairs and obviously the same issue is not fixed. I called and scheduled the appointment, my wife left work early to be home by 4:00pm to meet the service repair man. I was told he would call first to let us know he was on his way. At 4:40 I called to follow up. At that point I was told the service repairman had gotten to my house at 3:30 and waited till 4:15 then he left. He said he called my phone multiple times and it went straight to voicemail. There are multiple issues with this statement. number one my wife got home at about 3:55. My mother actually went to the house to drop off my son at 3:45 and there was no one at our house. Lastly, Why wouldn't the repairman leave a message if he repeatedly got my voicemail. This simply does not add up. So now my wife left work early and we still have a refrigerator issue. As you can imagine my confidence is already low considering A to Z has been to my house numerous times to attempt to repair my refrigerator with no success. At this point I called another repair facility and I figured I would just pay to have the repair done. I had Pate appliance repair come out. I wish I had done this in the first place. They knew right away that the reason the refrigerator was losing freon was a known Maytag issue with the refrigerator evaporator. This is extremely frustrating since the issue would have been covered completely under warranty had A to Z given me this information. Pate said the Service bulletin was released in October of last year. A to Z replaced my compressor in December. How was this overlooked? Not to mention Pate noticed the Dryer had not been changed on the system when the compressor was changed and he noted that was a big "No No". I also am aware of how a refrigeration system works and that is just simple cheap insurance anytime you open a sealed system. So Pate called Maytag and they confirmed it is the Evap in the refrigerator section. Maytag will cover the part but I am still responsible for labor and the recharge. This all could have been avoided had A to Z done their job. So in short I can't help to be disappointed and feel let down at how A to Z handled my situation. I feel like I was lied to and received sub par service. I hope I will hear from someone there. I fear it may fall on deaf ears. But if you want to continue being a warranty repair facility for Maytag you may want to rethink your practices. As far as my situation goes you cost me $400 in repairs. read more

I had a home warranty that would replace my dish washer if it could not repaired and they asked to speak to the tech to verify it could not be repaired - they have refused to speak to the warranty company and blow me off when I call and ask about it. Now I have to buy a new dish washer because I cannot prove thru a pro that it is not repairable. Never use this company. read more
