The layout is very simple so it is easy to find your way around. This was a major concern for me and my siblings as both of my parents are suffering from dementia and have some mobility issues. They seem to have lots of activities--BINGO is a favorite! The apartments have been updated with new cabinets, carpet and paint. The complex smells fresh and clean and the food isn't bad either. My parents seem to be happy here so far. The initial meeting we had with the nurse practitioner went really well and I think they really have my parents best interest at heart. The assisted living apartments are attached to a nursing home and memory care unit. There is a chapel in the apartment complex and you can walk inside through the nursing home to the attached Church (St Anthony Chapel). The apartments have a very small kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, sink and drawer microwave. Just what they need since lunch and dinner are provided.

Blue Stone was a fabulous team of doctors, but New Perspective wanted to downgrade to Twin Cities Physician My brother has dementia and became incontinent in March. I had no support in helping him get used to depends. I often found my brother covered in feces and his carpet full of feces, his bathroom was a disgrace. In July, I had this happen again, but Scott was wheezing while I showered him. I asked the nurse to test for Covid. He was positive! No one knew until I suggested they test. Needless to say, I have moved my brother to a much better facility where they treat him with dignity and respect. I am a teacher by trade, and I documented all of the inhumane situations I found my brother in. Please think twice before putting your loved one in this disgusting place!

My last visit, it was 9:00 am, breakfast HAD not been ordered, I went down to the kitchen to order their breakfast, returned to pick it up and feed it to the resident. Resident is paying for the services and NOT receiving them. Shameful! Staff need to be hired and paid a decent wage. There does not appear to be a lead for the enhanced care unit; which is desperately needed. Staff are consistently on their phones, ignoring patients.

Resident rooms are barely kept up, I feel the staff does just the bare minimum, and this was before Covid. Read the state inspection reports before considering. For special reasons this was the best choice at the time, but am very disappointed. There are some great volunteers but the day to day cares from aides is lacking something. Communication with family doesn't happen and messages left for staff don't get passed along or are not followed through.
